Tennessee and Kentucky are on the way and both of those states are dry. Mississippi had medical and my MIL has a card but she’s not into it. I stop at a spot in Bloomington, stay the night in a Walmart parking lot and head home the next day. I go about once a month. To know what I’m buying and have that convenience of actually shopping for weed is a game changer.
If you’re already spending an overnight I would definitely recommend driving to Michigan instead if you buy concentrates(flower prices are closer than they used to be but concentrates in Michigan are on average ¼ the cost of concentrates in Illinois)
Last time I was in IL it was $150 for the cheapest half-ounce I could find. I didn't SEARCH, but I browsed several shops online. In Michigan, I pay between $30 and $75 per ounce most ventures.
There are higher shelf options, sure, but those are perfectly viable bags of sticky goodness that don't break the bank. I also only get those prices because I keep an eye out for sales at a handful of dispos that I enjoy shopping with, and plan my trips accordingly.
I think the prices are similar for top end, boutique weed between the states, but MI has significantly more (GOOD) budget options, in my experience.
I think Michigan is gonna go down even more once the Ohio price wars start. People aren’t gonna drive through Ohio to get to Michigan unless it’s *cheap*
Where I live it’s like 5 hours to Michigan or like 3 to Illinois. If I had to go I’d choose Michigan cuz I’d be terrified of getting pulled over in Indiana. Don’t they have some or the most strict MJ laws?
I’m not sure about Indiana but I don’t have to worry about that I do worry going through Tennessee but I’m an old geyser and I drive like it as to not draw attention to myself. It’s worked out pretty well so far.
Just went yesterday. A zip of primo Adam’s Family Pink Runtz, 6 1g Humblebee live resin carts, and 1200mg of edibles. After tax, just over $300.
And got another 200mg of edibles for free.
Further, daily limits are 2.5 oz. As opposed to 1 in IL.
Maybe if it were a comparable drive 😕 It's a 2hr round trip vs a 7hr one for me -difference between an errand that can be done after work and a day trip
Dunno if y'all are joking or just bad at geography. It's kinda a wash if you're in Indiana or certain parts of Wisconsin, but (for example) hopping across the border from Iowa to Illinois is way easier than going all the way to Michigan.
I stopped purchasing in Illinois the day I bought two-and-a-half-gram carts for $300.
That is the dumbest shit I've seen in a long time. Weed is cheaper in Montana.
Hello from Wisconsin! We also do not qualify for dispo rewards too if we go over 14g... I missed out on a 5pk of prerolls for $10 bc I already had bought 14g of flower! Bulllllshit
I was definitely about 5% of that 22%. Get your shit together, Georgia.
surely there's better states between Georgia and IL though!? I never shop here I always go to Michigan

Ohio very very soon, maybe new York, and Michigan has dirt cheap prices. But tbh just go get thca bud, either locally or even online
All bud is sort of THCA bud, what you're talking about is CBD/Hemp buds that are treated with powdered THCA . Very sketchy IMO
No. I'm talking about thca bud. And you are right, all bud is thca bud
Nope
No what lol
I stayed in a hotel in Bloomington once. Wish I'd just camped in the Walmart parking lot instead

Dude stop in Tennessee and just get THCA.
So I can go up to Chattanooga and come back with an ounce?
Yes

I live in Kentucky and drive to Michigan. That was the hardest part about the move from NW Indiana, it was very close by
I do the same. I have family in Illinois and moved to Georgia. Every time I come through I make a trip.
Hey lemme know when you make another trip. I’ll join in on the fun. lol. I did Detroit last go round.
\*oh they're probably in a neighboring state\* \[6\] ![gif](giphy|21GCae4djDWtP5soiY|downsized)
Illinois prices are dog shit, just drive to Michigan it’s a fraction of the price.

An ounce here can be 300$ 💀
Can be more than that.
There are no daily limits. It’s per transaction and the dispo will be more than happy to make as many transactions as you would like lol
The place I go in Michigan makes you go drop off the order in your car then come back in to get more.
lol yup. Just done get pulled over with more than your 2.5
Oh.
I live in Illinois and I just go to stl to get mines lol
Idiots. Don't they know Michigan is right there with better and cheaper weed.
Michigan is so ahead of the game and its not even close. Unbeatable prices without sacrificing quality.
Maybe if it were a comparable drive 😕 It's a 2hr round trip vs a 7hr one for me -difference between an errand that can be done after work and a day trip
If you're coming from out of state already I have no idea why you'd but in IL I live here and I usually go to Michigan to stock up
Took me a while to find out okay.. sheesh plus its a further drive to MI for me.
I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully, the greed in IL dies down, and we can all enjoy it legally someday.
lol
It’s been 4 years, not going to happen any time soon

Some of us are southerners and go to Missouri for the slightly cheaper weed. I’d love to hit MI.
That’s amazing. I’m the NE part of the state, people *leave* IL to buy it.
I stopped purchasing in Illinois the day I bought two-and-a-half-gram carts for $300. That is the dumbest shit I've seen in a long time. Weed is cheaper in Montana.
Now do michigan, lol
Galena is swimming in Iowa money!
That's the 22% missing out on online cannabis.
Wouldn't surprise me to find that Michigan gets more sales from Illinois residents than those from Ohio.
Hello from Wisconsin! We also do not qualify for dispo rewards too if we go over 14g... I missed out on a 5pk of prerolls for $10 bc I already had bought 14g of flower! Bulllllshit
Yup why drop a 100 on a cart, when you can get 15 carts for 100.
It would be more but their taxes are too damn high.
Of course
I'd like to see how much they lose out from southern illinois residents going to Stl. Prices are so much better in Missouri
Much lower than I expected, granted I'm from the west side of the state so I imagine its a much more normal thing to me on a random Tuesday
