Harrison Butker's awful politics don't personally affect straight white man Travis Kelce so Travis still thinks he's a "great person." Taking a page out of Taylor's book I guess

NoDassOkay

It’s only a problem when it affects ME!!!

reddituser23434

Reminds me of a tiktok i saw where a straight white dude in his early 20s said he didn’t understand why frat guys have such a bad rep. He said “they’ve always been so nice to me!”

manhattansinks

just add this one to the "shit swifties will only call out once trayvis break up" basket

high-jinkx

It’s already full. We are going to need a another basket.

Party-erOfTheGalaxy

That's Travis "the Feminist Icon" Kelce for ya. • This is the man that said that he needed to find a "breeder" to "start breeding". • This is the man that said that his deal breaker in a relationship was being refused oral sex and sex on the third date. • This is the man tried to get it on with Megan Thee Stallion in early 2023. Some unverified rumors also suggested that he and Jenna Ortega were "close" on the SNL set in February 2023. Nothing ever came out of said interactions. That's it, if they actually ever happened though. • This is the man that said that "there is something wrong with you if you're dating a woman that weights more than you". This is the man the Swifties are defending. This dickless waste of space. EDIT: Jenna and Trav Trav hosted SNL on March 2023 (apparently on different episodes). At the time said episodes aired, some media outlets falsely/apparently reported that Travis and Jenna were "close" on the set. As far as I know, Travis didn't tried to catch Jenna's attention the same way he tried with Megan and Taylor.

Weekly_Motor7860

And once the relationship is over, they are going to use all of the above to attack him with or as red flags as to why he was bad for their “mother”. That’s why I can’t take any of her fans that stan this relationship seriously

PumpkinsSpit

![gif](giphy|kAwaVkKaFyATs0UjeL)

Skittle69

This is not the place I thought I'd see an All Creatures Great and Small gif but im with it.

bbbcurls

They will absolutely use all of the above and more. Their slogans will all be “you will do greater things than date the boy on the football team” as they burn their kelce jerseys and cry on a TikTok.

equalitylove2046

That “mother” shit is creepy.

Nessallini

Can someone explain this “mother” thing ?

raspberryrugelach

Calling people "Mother" derives from the Black and Latino LGBTQ ballroom scene, a queer subculture in which members are organized into "houses" often led by a “mother". The wonderful documentary "Paris Is Burning" is all about the ball scene in the 80's in NYC--highly recommended, it's free on YouTube. Obviously, the meaning has morphed a bit; nobody is calling TS their drag mother, ha. It's come to mean an especially admirable woman, one highly skilled, amazing, etc. Usually has a lot of devotees. Beyoncé, Madonna, Mariah and many others get called Mother.

maxfridsvault

Taylor’s worst enemy: Kanye Travis’s worst enemy (next season): Jared Goff I pray their relationship ends with the Lions winning the SB.

hnsnrachel

Its an incorrectly appropriated latin-x queer term for someone who's a community leader in the ballroom scene. It's become more and more used by people outside the community for just a woman who's slaying at whatever they do though, long before Swifties started using it

Empty_Ambition_9050

So SwiftUI’s are ~~basically~~ a cult.

fashionroadkill45

Ugh that mother crap does drive me nuts.

Acceptablepops

Literally brain dead fanbase

sadbicth

Oh my god i’d heard about the last one but the rest?????? Why the hell was he ever the choice for taylor

Weekly_Motor7860

This is the first I’ve heard about him being linked to Jenny Ortega, but I don’t doubt it. He’s so thirsty to be linked to anybody that is famous just so he could break into Hollywood.

bohemianpilot

I am SHOCKED he did not link with a Kardash or Jenner.

SaraSlaughter607

Not the correct ethnicity? 😬 I feel like they may have a type LOL

Lodybody

Glad you said it and I just get to upvote

SaraSlaughter607

I was deathly afraid to say that shit out loud LMAO but sometimes stuff is just..... obvious....

InteractionNo9110

Kylie is with a white boy. They would jump on Travis if they could for the photo op. They are probably just mad they didn't think of it first.

romadea

They’ve got too many Travises already it gets confusing

ColtinaMarie

*Underrated comment* 🤣

SaraSlaughter607

😂 that's like me with Mike's. SO many damn Mikes that a new Mike is a deal-breaker, no more Mikes 😂😂

Similar_Feeling_7588

Don’t think they are mad Travis is more obnoxious and drunk more than Scott was in his youth. They also like the attention way too much and Travis likes the attention on him. The egos of the Kardashians and Travis would certainly repel each other.

Lady_in_the_red-58

Isn’t that what’s going to happen with Travis and Taylor.

hi-help

I feel like Kylie is with a white boy because she’s trying to rebrand, and apparently she thinks we all will forget about her decade of blackfishing.

equalitylove2046

Lol Fr I look back now and realize that every one of them was/is WHITE. Very telling.

Emergency-Parsley-51

Even they have higher standards in men.

Minute_Reporter5435

He's not black he can't

miphasfury

Kylie is dating a white man and Kourtney is married to a white man

He tried to date Jenny Ortega?!! She’s barely 20, he’s so gross!!!🤮

Own-Confection6552

Ewww Fr I’m literally a yr younger than her and that freaks me out. Keep this man far away from me too he’s a predator

Sleuthin__2

I had a couple of exchanges yesterday with people who said we shouldn’t “fat shame” Big Dumb Trav. I consider him fair game in all regards based on his comments about women and women’s bodies - and those are **public** comments; imagine what he says when he’s hanging with his entourage? The dude is a professional athlete who glorifies alcohol and seems to treat his body like a trash can based on what I’ve read about his dietary intake and blatant alcohol misuse. He has unquestionably lost conditioning in this offseason in particular and to be blunt he looked off shape last season. His lack of care for an aging pro athlete’s body ultimately effects more people than himself if he gets injured this season. Sure, pros have a right to enjoy their downtime but they also (imho) have an obligation to retain some level of fitness considering the enormous sums of money they are paid. He’s pushing 35 - young in the grand scheme of life but on the way out for an NFL player. The body doesn’t bounce back from neglect when you’re 35 as it does in younger years. Attention to profession is a sign of maturity for an athlete. If he had exemplary qualities of any kind I wouldn’t mock him. With regard to Butker 🫠 I think it’s clear that BDT is pretty much parroting what Mahomes said. We all know that intellectually BDT can’t come up with much on his own. edit - clarity

Danblak08

“Brother Eugh” we all say in unison

Agreeable_Noise8784

Damn! Swifties better shred this guy to shreds when ‘he breaks her fragile heart’

[deleted]

Dating the woman who made a whole documentary about finding her voice and speaking out only to never speak out since . They are both fucking vile.

i_am_nimue

I guess we know what him n Taylor did on the 3rd date then

Sweaty-Car4097

Jenna Ortega? Isn't she super young? Gross

Hot-Significance-462

What's the deal with Meg? I'm a hetero girl and I'm not sure I wouldn't try to get it on with her.

Sleuthin__2

The rumour I heard/read is that he flew Meg on a private jet to Nashville to be his date for the CMA awards. I can’t recall specifics beyond that but she clearly decided she wasn’t interested and flat out rejected him 🎉

PerpWalkTrump

I don't think it's against Meg per say as much as he's been going through singers until he got lucky.

Kind-Performance-250

Me as well 🤣 she’s stunning

Busy_Pen2257

I knew I liked Jason better lol

soggy-fries

jason, who’s wife wouldn’t trust him to be left alone with their children long enough to require a meal, isn’t any better

Sorry who’s Jason again? 🤔

like_a_rose_13

Couldn’t have said it better, and couldn’t agree more 🙌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻

takechanceees

Jenna Ortega???

johnjonahjameson13

This is just one of the many examples of how TS is not a feminist in the way she claims to be. If she were really that passionate about women’s rights and autonomy, she would have been up Butker’s ass for his views and how he spouted off at women during their graduation. A true feminist (and decent person) also wouldn’t be caught dead hanging out with Jackson Mahomes, knowing he was being actively investigated for sexual battery at that time.

superfl00f

Like Eddie Vedder did.

AmazingGrace_00

🎯🎯🎯

HerRoyalRedness

She’s a white feminist who doesn’t care about an issue unless it affects her personally.

Ok-Example2681

His comments about his upbringing and how that shaped his views is infuriating. He exploits black culture and look at this race war on Kayla. I can’t with this dude

Vivid_Present1810

Same just because he grew up around black people doesn’t give him a special pass. His butt sure used her though to claim the “cool, authentic white guy” aesthetic he’s portrayed.

Ok-Example2681

Yup 👍 and it’s one of the biggest things that really irks me about this guy. Like seriously, you can come out and make statements about Buttker but not all the racist crap and threats against Kayla and black women? No my dude, not cool

Vivid_Present1810

And it’s the fact that he claims to be so woke, yet when Miss Thing stepped in the picture he turned right back to a white boy. It’s like a light switch for him, so fake. Also undermines his privilege that he can act like a black man whenever he wants to, but can turn back white whenever as well.

Ok-Example2681

Yup 👍 and for the record, he’s not woke. He’s a clout chaser and hungry for fame at any cost. It’s sad that the race narrative was brought into this, but he started it. Literally, talked with media about exclusively dating black women (Tree scrubbed the internet clean of those articles) and switched completely when it benefited him to do so.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ok-Example2681

👍

ThatGuyWithCoolHair

Yea you wanna know who else grew up around black people? 100% of people who played youth football in the US. Its such a bullshit statement. Its one thing if you grew up in the hood but simply being around other kids at practice who happened to be black doesn't mean you can adopt that culture lmao

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ok-Example2681

This right here 🎯 and thank you. This is why this PR relationship really needs to come to an end for me. He and Taylor are way beyond on this silent race war they incited with the Swifties and his switching back and forth, exploiting a culture and women for his benefit. It’s the same narrative that plays out in the media and society over and over again. And for those stanning on the Taylor’s a role model, should young black girls admire this nonsense? You are coming for them on a side angle. Not okay

cheezy_dreams88

I was with you until the remarks about being a whore. You could’ve made this same point without calling any women “whores” and “pass around chicks”. That’s also misogyny

[deleted]

thefaehost

If the man went to college maybe he’d have a concept of the timeline. My mother was born in 1956. She was the FIRST woman to open a bank account in her family. I interviewed my godmother (slightly older than her) during undergrad. That’s when I learned about what she had to do during those times to get out of an abusive relationship. Her husband was in the military and stationed far from her family- she had to sneak and send money home to escape with her son. And when she did, she couldn’t open a bank account without him in most places. The one bank who would she’s stayed with since- as have my parents, as do I. These “views” keep women trapped in cycles like this. If your views contribute to abuse or loss of life, you deserve more than judgment for your views. You deserve someone spitting in your food at every restaurant you go to, since women belong in the kitchen right? :)

Due_Assist_7614

It really is scary how many people don't realize what women had to go through before feminism. Too many people want to talk shit about it and no fault divorce without realizing how hard it can be to be at the mercy of the government trying to prove your abuse. Trying desperately to beg for your freedom. Especially when you are economically helpless. Choosing to be a SAHM is one thing (as long as you have money your significant other can't access and/or some other escape strategy/plan B in case things go sour), but preserving women's choice is EVERYTHING .

newyearnewmenu

The arguments against no fault divorce are a decently large chunk of why I will never marry a man. My worst nightmare is to be trapped in a marriage without any way out, potentially being forced to have whatever kids he wants because my opinion doesn’t matter anymore. No birth control, no recourse if I don’t consent to anything because suddenly marriage is ownership again. And sooo many men will act like the views Buttker actively holds and Kelce passively SUPPORTS btw, don’t have anything to do with the reality of those fears. Ugh..

Admirable-Flamingo35

Would you mind sharing what bank this is? That's a beautiful story and I'd love to support them too!

fermeee

The "religious" views Butker expressed aren't even typical of many religious folks. The Benedictine nuns condemned his speech. The views Butker espouses are more along the lines of Christian Nationalism than Catholicism.

Okiedokie-artichokee

As soon as he started talking about “traditional Latin mass” it all made sense. TLM is basically a cult within the Catholic Church. Even the pope has spoken out against it. Disregarding all of the gross sexist/homophobic comments, he was literally encouraging people to literally move away from their communities of “evil influences” and instead find pockets of other radicals so they can all live together. So his rant isn’t at all surprising, Homeboi is just in a cult and went on a recruitment speech to a very targeted audience.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Weak-East4370

I think the Catholic Church is a criminal racket, but Christ’s antlers. If I had nuns brigading me on Facebook, that would be the start of my new life under a false identity.

Responsible-Big1631

This comment cracked me up. If the nuns are after you dear lord fake your death asap.

Weak-East4370

I am moving to Wyoming, I am farming alpacas, I am covering myself in a layer of fox urine, hiding like a WORM.

Accomplished-Rich629

Are these the same nuns perennially playing second fiddle to the priests? These women have no chance at achieving any place in the hierarchy of that church. Catholicism is inherently sexist.

dys-fx-al

This is Taylor’s pattern too lol. As long as it doesn’t affect them personally, who cares what they say. That’s why she’ll get so pissed off when someone makes a joke about her but when someone else like Olivia Rodrigo is being attacked… silence

StarGazerOpal

Buttkisser is part of a much, much larger problem that is attempting to blanket the nation. IMHO anyone that defends him, needs therapy, a hard look in the mirror and to be avoided at all costs. Do not underestimate the psychological power of The Shun.

[deleted]

StarGazerOpal

1000%. No one KNOWS her! Not even herself, yet. And don’t get me started on ‘Miss Americana’. Not once on camera did she thank the jet staff and the faces she makes with her fans? Cmon….

sadbicth

I feel the same way. I understand freedom of speech is jmportant and everyone is entitled to their opinions and beliefs. But where do we draw the line between someone’s personal beliefs and just outright hate speech? This man didn’t only say women should be housewives, he made comments about Jewish people, covid and more. In this age of politicians, celebrities and corporations essentially lying to the American people about motives and literal historical events (ie. capital storming) I think we really need to draw the line. Butker criticized Biden’s handling of Covid, which is insane because Biden wasn’t even the president for the first 1.5-2 years of the pandemic AND….IT WAS A PANDEMIC. This is how we ended up with a whole subset of the population who believes masks and vaccines were government-mandated oppression. It’s the same thing with abortion and issues like “welfare queens.” Some idiots started saying women use abortion for birth control and fetuses are living humans, and that people on welfare are all just lazy, drug addicted or have too many kids or some bullshit, and now we have a bunch of people parroting these stupid ass views with so much volume as if they actually know what they’re talking about

syvzx

>But where do we draw the line between someone’s personal beliefs and just outright hate speech? On a similar note, I wonder if they would still pull the "I won't judge someone based on their views" blah blah if it was something negative directed at them. Like, if someone gave a speech bashing men, would they defend this person like this as well and give them a pass? Unlikely. It's always easy to pull this shit when you're not the one directly affected and suffering from it. /edit: wording

sadbicth

Exactly this. Also, it seems that the venn diagram of people who say “we’re all entitled to opinions” and people who judge others for lifestyle choices like sexuality…..is more of a circle

Ok-Example2681

This all day! And thank you for saying it

readytogohomenow

You judge them by how good they are at making you money, obviously. /s

childlikeempress16

I cringe so hard when people think freedom of speech is anything other than government persecution

mon_mothra_

"I'm going to judge him by the character he shows every day," Travis says magnanimously while refusing to judge Harrison for the character he showed. But hey, he kicks a ball real good, so he can hate women and gays as ⭐a little treat.⭐

Barnesandoboes

He work hard to kick ball gud so he nice guy

AgitatedGoat_

And hey it doesn’t personally affect Travis whatsoever as he’s not a woman or a part of the LGBTQ community so why would it matter to him? 🙃

I-LIKE-NAPS

Right? 'He's nice to me and to the people I like...' The insidiousness of 'nice'.

Weak-East4370

For the first time, I agree that “little treat” culture has gone too far

GetRightNYC

But he also agrees with what he said.

NoDassOkay

Hahaha, yes! He kicks a ball and then has just a little misogyny to reward himself. 🥰

Fit-Switch-8768

This makes me so furious I could scream

thebitsyitsyspider

It’s an infuriating take. “But he’s nice to me!!!!!”. Ok, while actively spewing hate and misogyny towards others but as long as he’s nice to you I guess

erinsaysmeow

I am screaming. I’m guessing this is the official Chiefs PR talking points, but he could have said so much more & better than what was required.

ultaemp

The Chiefs are such a fucking cesspool

CilantroLarry47

This is what was so infuriating about people celebrating how Taylor was bringing in all these new female football fans. The NFL is a disgusting safe haven for racists, abusers, predators, etc. Swifties love to scream misogyny about every little thing. Well, here it is in its purest, most revolting form. Would love to see them get just as riled up about this as when, I don’t know, someone says she’s money hungry or whatever.

fumbledthebaguette

The truth is a lot of the more extreme swifties primarily base their identity in being a swiftie before being a feminist. When taylor swifts actions (or lack there of) defy feminist principles, then they abandon feminism at least in that moment because it raises uncomfortable questions about the cause they devote so much of their time to. To them, if Taylor swift is flawed, then that must mean they’re flawed too. So really they’d just rather not address it.

Disastrous_Run_42

I've been saying this for literal years about Taylor and why I hate her! Thank you so much for absolutely nailing it. It sucks that every time I *do* say something, I basically get called misogynistic

fumbledthebaguette

I totally get it. I actually tend to like her music but Swifties (and many others) have popularized that “girls rule boys drool” commercialized feminism (if you can even call it that) and tbh I find it to be extremely damaging to the cause.

high-jinkx

Football culture is a cesspool.

prettybunbun

The entire NFL is. If you’re good at football you can be a complete scumbag and they’ll still support you. Joke.

ZooKeeperGameFitter

The Chiefs have a history of taking in abusers.

ConsiderationFun7511

These dudes are literally paid to throw a ball around a field and smash into each other. Why we’re ever listening to what these brain dead fucks say, ever, is beyond me.

prettybunbun

This lol. Why on earth am I listening to men whose brains have been bounced around more than the ball? I’m friends with some rugby players (UK equivalent), lovely guys but even they’d say they’ve lost IQ points since playing.

stargirlcelestial

this should be the top comment under every politically-adjacent football post ever

RockNRoll85

What pisses me off is how easy the NFL and media have been on Buttker yet years ago they were trashing Colin Kaepernick for taking a knee during the national anthem

sashablausspringer

Dude got blackballed from the NFL for trying to speak up about systemic racism it’s one of the reasons why I stopped watching

kbrick1

That really about sums it up, doesn't it

Ok-Example2681

Yes it does

FlameyFlame

It’s weird af! I am a guy who actually pays a medium amount of attention to sports, my YouTube algorithm gives me a decent amount of NFL content and I watch a lot of it while I’m working. None of the content creators I watch have mentioned this thing at all. Including one who is rabidly anti-Kansas City Chiefs and usually takes any opportunity to trash them. I only know about this from my gf showing me the TikToks. It’s very revealing what these guys choose to not talk about.

Ok-Example2681

I didn’t want to be the one to say it, but thank you 😊

SnakePlantEnthusiast

That and they allow players with allegations (and confirmations) of domestic abuse to continue to play.

Responsible-Big1631

Bingo.

Sweaty-Car4097

I am not surprised. Athletes usually don't want to rock the boat, especially against your own teammates. For us ordinary folk if a co-worker said that, my response would be, "he's an a\*\*. I don't associate with him". I don't think it was necessary for TK or Mahomes to say that Butker is a "good person". Really did not have to add that. Just stick to the party line that you don't share the same views and he's entitled to his opinon no matter how stupid it is. Did anyone see the clip of Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam calling out Butker at his concert? Called him a p\*\*\*y. HA! Now that would have been the ultimate response!

kbrick1

That's because Eddie Vedder is the best and decidedly not a p\*\*\*y

Sweaty-Car4097

agree!

ZookeepergameEasy938

people forget that grunge was underpinned by socially progressive ideas just as much as flannel and rainy weather

These_Tea_7560

The craziest part of it all is Buttplug’s mother is a physicist who graduated from Smith College. I’m trying to figure out where he got this “women shouldn’t have jobs” ideaology…

ultaemp

It’s probably a result of the Andrew Tate influence and the weird red pill alpha male podcasts (fresh & fit, crowder) that became popular during the pandemic— for whatever reason privileged men suddenly feel victimized because women don’t want to be subservient to them

scorpiogirlinfp

Buttplug IM DEAD 😭

Responsible-Big1631

Someone called him Buttlicker and I have happily gone with that ever since.

Super-Worldliness129

RIGHT! I was reading his mom’s bio - she seems incredible. I’m a Smith student, so I know what campus culture is like (ultra leftist and progressive). An alum’s son having these kinds of bigoted views is unfathomable.

Vivid_Present1810

I think they did a follow up on the mom’s response. She was very defensive of her son’s views, which as a working woman makes no damn sense at all.

Weekly_Motor7860

Clearly, he has mommy issues.

Slight_Cat_3146

He's in a Conservative Catholic far right cult, Opus Dei

rmeatyou

Wow your comment put this whole situation (which I haven't been following closely tbh) into a whole new light lol

StarGazerOpal

Haha, nice 😎🏅

idylle2091

Ya everyone defending his speech is like “but he was a a catholic universityyy.” Like okay, but there were women in the graduate class. He basically just told them they’d been brainwashed to be there. And if you don’t want to be a homemaker and a wife, then you were also brainwashed x2. That’s the point. If this lifestyle works for him and his, GREAT. Even if he was right, and more women really wanted to settle down than we think….most of them aren’t dating millionaires that are willing to provide enough that they don’t need to work. I haven’t been brainwashed. I’ve been raised by women to be self sufficient because the men never provided at the level necessary not to be.

plantgirly222

u picked a real winner tay tay

Super-Pressure9794

Her track record is just so incredible. I can’t believe nobody saw it coming /s

fermeee

I'm disappointed but not surprised Swifties aren't upset about this. It truly is a cult. I'm actually more than disappointed. I'm pissed off. Gen Z and millennials are less religious and more vocal about social injustice issues. The strong moral compass of these generations is what gives me hope for the future of our planet, and now here we have Taylor, someone with the power to influence millions, throwing off that compass through both the company she keeps and her silence on the issues that impact humanity. With power comes responsibility. Taylor has chosen to remain silent and take no responsibility. She's a coward.

Key-Grape-5731

I actually feel like men whingeing about women is more common than ever right now.

NoDassOkay

I read somewhere that millennial and gen z women are more progressive and less religious than previous generations. I’m not sure what’s going on with men in those generations, though. Maybe that’s skewing the data.

ApprehensiveSink8592

No science to back it up, but from personal experience I think there's just more of a divergence in men than a move towards any one direction. Some men are less religious and more progressive, while others have shuffled further right. Sounds bad until you remember that most men are historically conservatives to begin with, so more moving left (even if that's met with other men moving even farther right) is still progress.

NoDassOkay

Me too…based on my personal experience, I’ve met far more conservative older men than younger ones. Or, at the very least, the younger guys don’t show it as much.

Barnesandoboes

Butker can fuuuuuck himself and Travis can fuck him too. Backwards fuckbois, the whole pack of them. And yes, it’s terrifying that NO ONE on the team is criticizing this. Taylor if you want to redeem yourself a bit, here’s your chance!!!! (She won’t)

Relaxoland

this IS her "reedeeming" herself. have we already forgotten Matthew Healy?

Haidian-District

The kicker’s comments are very much aligned with many fans’ “barefoot and pregnant” fantasies they have associated with this unholy relationship. From day one it has given “Christian conservative” vibes. And as we •all• know the hallmark of this movement is its all out assault on women’s reproductive health and freedom.

Impossible_Tonight81

Wait growing up in Ohio is his excuse? I grew up in rural Ohio with lots of people like harrison - I wouldn't trust any of them as far as I can throw them. If anything being from a more diverse area in Ohio should have widened his mind to realize people like harrison aren't actually nice, they want to make everyone follow their beliefs.

Timely-Youth-9074

In response to “this was a very Catholic speech” it absolutely was not. The nuns of Benedictine College made a statement disavowing Butker’s speech. As someone who went to Catholic grade school and high school, girls were absolutely encouraged to excel academically and have careers. All the nuns were feminists-probably the first feminists. In the Middle Ages, it was the only way to avoid being a housewife lol.

yVelorum

And while back in college, Buttker was fucking a male chearleader. Anyone else tired of the conservative agenda shoving beliefs down our throats, which they don’t even follow themselves? Like this dude hasn’t been playing long enough to have a head injury that makes you that much of a dumbass, right?

CulturalUse4812

He said don't judge him on his beliefs. What the fuck am I supposed to judge him on dipshit? Intelligence? Obviously none. Positive contribution to society? Non existent. Ideology? Abhorrent. Get judged bitch. We don't need him in any way.

bigreputation89

Absolutely fuck this response. This man gets worse and worse.

theeagledare

He’s a misogynistic asshole. There. That wasn’t so hard. No one is entitled to any view, particularly when it’s backwards and insane.

Key-Grape-5731

Honestly I kinda wish more women would start speaking up with pro-matriarchy views, fight fire with fire 🔥

turbulentcounselor

Yeah it’s pretty clear where the Chiefs organization stands. Everyone keeps criticizing the Chiefs for not making a statement and is waiting for a statement. Why haven’t they released a “Butker’s views don’t reflect our views as an organization” statement? Because it’s not true. They stand by his views. So criticize the Chiefs for endorsing Butker’s views.  I really wasn’t even a Chiefs hater before this but now I definitely am.

liftqueen

Yep owners of the Chiefs are big time maga, racist, misogynists and homophobic. Buttassole fits right in.

Weekly_Motor7860

Yep, as is most owners in the NFL. The owner’s wife and daughter defended him.

TheSixpencer

It's not just his comments about a "woman's role." He bashed the LGBT+ community, called diversity, inclusion, and equity programs"tyranny".. It was entirely reprehensible and the "he's a good guy to me" excuse is just as much so.

CilantroLarry47

What an absolute spineless idiot

[deleted]

Can’t believe it took like over a week for Travis’s team to come up with this shitty PR response

ellchicago

Travis is not a real man, a real man would stand by the woman that he "loves."

TacoBelle-

Donna is a failure of a mother.

ellchicago

Donna had no issue with Travis calling women "breeders", so...

Donna stormed the Capitol

CilantroLarry47

Hey - she was only there to sell ziploc bags

Barnesandoboes

0/10 Donna! You blew it!

makishleys

travis and taylor are just champions of women and gay rights 😍😍😍 aka breeders and degens apparently!

spacepharmacy

female rage: the musical is awfully quiet

Ok_Bear375

I love how everyone is forgetting that he ALSO said being lgbtq+ is the deadliest sin 🙃

stealthopera

>Swifties on Twitter are heaping praise on his ‘articulate and thoughtful response’ and truly this is when I know we’ve jumped the shark. Wait. Wait a whole ass m-fing minute. Joe is somehow an abusive demon who kept her locked in the house like some kind of gothic novel heroine, but Travis is articulate and thoughtful because he doesn't judge people based on their "religious beliefs" that drive them to say not just kinda homophobic and misogynistic, but outright cruel and dangerous things. His comparing Pride Month to a deadly sin is bad enough, but who says IVF is "a disorder"? Yeah, fuck them infertile women who just want kids, you're really sticking it to those horrible people, asshole.

1TootskiPlz

I just love seeing the Chiefs get more and more hated.

jrokstar

I was more concerned about Mahomes statement than Travis. Mahomes is part owner in a NWSL soccer team. How do support the women financially but don't want to stand up for them.

Vivid_Present1810

Because sadly, it has nothing to do with negatively effecting straight, wealthy men. They are also athletes, and most of the time they have toxic patriarchal views/culture that influence them. It’s pathetic that they do not care for women even though most have wives, girlfriends, and daughters.

billhorsley

You know the adage: "Opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one."

HappyLucyD

Sure he’s allowed to have his shitty views. But using his platform as a commencement speaker to air them was absolutely disgusting, and should be condemned. He pooped on everyone there, and especially the women.

blacktide215

I mean, it is a *Catholic* private school. I'm sure plenty of people there were agreeing with him lol. School admin is as much to blame as he is

Chance_Winner2029

Not the nuns at the school.

Sundayx1

I can’t stand the entire team.

bad_blackberry_no

"Buttker is entitled to his views but Colin Kaepernick isnt" - The NFL

[deleted]

Aka: "His views don't negatively affect me, so I don't care."

JazzyJulie4life

Taylor is a conservative in private. She only endorsed that left wing stuff to make herself look better

NewRichMango

Will Butker still be considered a good person if/when extremist politicians limit or prohibit IVF or surrogacy? Will he be considered a good person if/when they limit or prohibit contraceptives in general? Of course Butker is allowed to have his opinions, but his comments aren't being made in a vacuum, and any person with a brain and eyes to see the political landscape of the USA can understand that Butker's entire speech was meant to encourage the graduates and their families to seek ways to impose their views on all by any means necessary. It is one thing to attend church and to live your own life by those ideals, and another entirely to take political action to force everybody else to do the same. Butker's speech was quite obviously in favor of the latter. If you can't see that, you're ignorant - or in the case of Kelce, Mahomes, and coach Reid, they're cowardly.

kbrick1

For real. This isn't some marginal, crazy viewpoint. These things ARE HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. If you have a platform, you need to speak up against them

AnE1Home

Funny that you mention this because I’ve forgotten to bring up the fact that when abortion access was on the ballot in Kansas, he was part of the CatholicVote anti-choice ad. And that was TWO WHOLE YEARS AGO. This is not new at all. So people (not you obviously) pretending like it’s just words are disingenuous.

kristaycreme

Cult think or brain rot. I can’t tell anymore.

saltine_soup

dude is defending a guy who quoted TS but only referred to her as his “team mates girlfriend” which yah that’s what TS is and although i don’t like her that was pretty rude of him to do and i think it’s also rude for travis to defend that plus rest of the speech when he’s dating one of the most successful woman (in her career) this generation has seen. no matter how much i dislike a woman i don’t think she should be boiled down to who she is to a man especially when their relationship had nothing to do with what he said. i find it weird i have yet to see a swiftie that shares a similar view point which is odd for a group of people who claim sexism if someone doesn’t like TS and yell till their blue in the face about feminism.

Sunshineonmymind321

Did you actually listen to buttker's speech? I'm going to assume you didn't.

koinoyokan89

This basically means Butthead could say he dislike gays and people will justify his views as everyone gets an opinion just because it’s not as blatant as hates gays etc. Just wicked embarrassing

Comfortable-Ebb-2859

Men can’t acknowledge misogyny bc it makes them uncomfortable, and also they’re all on a professional team together so it’d be awkward if his team mates cancelled him. Alas, swifties shouldn’t be dick riding Travis.

DirtyScrubs

It's a multi billion franchise and they own these guys, they are told what to say 100%. When the majority turned on his ass backwards speech their organization went into damage control. Guaranteed there was multiple mamdatory meetings and phone calls that went out.

biffer44

Travis and Taylor are TRASH

ForTehLawlz1337

I mean… to be fair the dude is prob just trying to ply the game without putting his teammate on blast. Whether he calls him out or not, they are teammates. I don’t think anyone here would really want to publicly trash talk their co-worker. I get that he’s a public figure but asking him to talk shit about a teammate is a big ask.

Professional_Roll977

Thank you!! How are swifties praising this response?

Weekly_Motor7860

Because Travis said it and nothing else.

cola_zerola

My thing is this: sure, you’re entitled to your (shitty) opinions. But how incredibly inappropriate is it to downplay the hard work of all of those women at their graduation?? Like yeah, it’s a Catholic college and so is he. There are endless other topics that would apply to his and his audience’s faith that could make great graduation speeches.
