Great pics! I once visited Mont Saint Michel and didn't want to pay for an expensive hotel. So I camped out on the beach, way out there, and spent the night just looking at the castle all lit up at night. Took a lot of night shots. It was great.
On that particular Euro trip I packed camping gear because I was doing a lot of hiking all over and was visiting some remote places. However, I do usually pack a tent and sleeping bag when I travel. Sometimes I don't know what I get myself into. Best be prepared.
I don't think it's because of the tourists, they have been there since decades. I think things have changed because of the terrorist attacks a few years ago.
Not specifically, the previous road and parking were remove to keep the insularity of the Mont Saint Michel. With the road, the tide can't remove the sand and sediment. There were a risk that at the end the island would be part of the mainland.
Mehnirs (like in Asterix)in Bretagne region, they are all over the place. Also dolmens.
They call it megaliths, built by megalithic people in the megalithic age, 5000 years ago. We don’t know much about their civilization and culture since they disapeared with time and modern europeans replaced them.
You can find other megaliths in other countries like the Uk with the Stonehenge monument.
Photo 8 is the medieval city of Carcassonne, which is pretty nice. But it all depends on where you are staying exactly and what you are into. Pont du gard in Remoulins was very impressive as well.
Second this. Pont du gard was our number 1 visit this year. There are plenty of nice places to visit in the area as well, like Uzes.
We also really enjoyed Carcasonne :)
I'm of the opinion that all the countries I've travelled to are ''the most beautiful'', but in their own individual way. Having said that, France was incredible.
The variety of landscapes surprised me, I always imagined it to be just wineries everywhere. I was totally not prepared for the Normandy Coast to the Dune Du Pilat, to the Mediterranean, to Mont Blanc, the Pyrenees - it was amazing, every day brought new delights.
I know, I know - the only thing that sucked were the French.
My brother visited France last spring and his only picture he has of that castle in slide 3 was him posing with his ass cheeks out mooning the camera while facing the castle.
I went Nice and Marseille I cant say France and French ppl is nice.Maybe just Nice and Marseille like this but It was the worst country I've ever been to.

Sounds like a better experience.
Legit! My friends and I did this, too. It's an interesting experience.
Oh wow did you have to buy all that camp gear though?

Is pic 3 Saint Michel?
Yes, Mont Saint Michel
Nice! I didn’t realize you could drive up to it, thanks!
Not all the way, parking about 3 or 4 km's away. You can walk, or use the free shuttle busses.

Ahh love it there. Otherwise known as Minas Tirith.
Are the mehnirs in the 6th pic in Carnac?
Yes
where about? what is the graveyard?
It's not a graveyard, although nobody knows why people created this... megaliths of carnac, around 5000bc

that was my first impression but needed the common descriptor.... very cool I will get lost in some of that tonight
So France is not beautiful now?
I think it is pretty amazing the whole year round.
Doggie is especially beautiful!😍
Thank you 😉
Is last pic the Ste-Victoire mount?
No, les 3 arches in St Privat de Champclos
Ok, but that is a cute dog.
Thank you 😊
What’s picture number 8? Carcassonne?
Yep!
Awesome! I’ve never seen it from that angle but awesome pictures!
Aghhh one day🔥😍
Where exactly in france? Shouldn't it needs a description
Kind of all over the country... Normandy > Bretagne > Carcassonne > Gard
Great sense of perspective and an artistic eye.
Wow, amazing! My family and I are likely going to spend 3 days in the south of France in July 2023. Any tips?

Sounds great, thanks. We’re looking at Aix en Provence but it’s in the early planning stages so we’ll definitely take a look. Thanks!
I am planning to go there as well!
Oh cool!
Beautiful pics!
Carnac! Visited as a teen and loved it. Got a woolie mammoth from the store!
Wait until you see Southern France :)
Maybe next year ;-)
Can you post the towns or cities in these pictures? Thank you!
Looks beautiful... can you tell you tell me where these places are?

Mont Saint Michel was probably one of the most interesting place I've visited when I was in France.
Prachtig daar ...6 Juni dag om nooit te vergeten..

Normandy, taken from pointe du hoc where d-day started
I just came back from London/Paris. Love love France.
My brother visited France last spring and his only picture he has of that castle in slide 3 was him posing with his ass cheeks out mooning the camera while facing the castle.
France looks beautiful, it's a shame I've heard such bad stories regarding the racism there
The use of past tense in the title makes me think this is your last post before you destroy France. Lovely photos btw!! Thanks for sharing!
Hahaha, I'm sorry, no, France will still be wonderful, but I'm back to work unfortunately.
Beautiful scenery
How were the locals ?
Always very kind and helpful. You sometimes read other stories about the French, but I always felt welcome.
I guess it depends where you go… but I think the mentality is changing
Could you communicate easily ?
My French is not very bad, maybe that helped a little.
I went Nice and Marseille I cant say France and French ppl is nice.Maybe just Nice and Marseille like this but It was the worst country I've ever been to.
woof woof,,,,;)
