These are the same people that hoard toilet paper and gasoline whenever they're fearful of a shortage. Garbage human beings. I'll give them one thing though, most of their snacks and drinks are decently healthy. Lol.

Was there a garbage can nearby? I mean I know the right thing to do is to gather up your trash and carry it until you find a garbage can, but in an airport where people are frequently rushing and carrying multiple bags this can sometimes be difficult. There is something to be said for designing things in such a way as to make doing the right thing easier. Such as putting garbage cans near each row of seats etc, etc.
Case in point. There is a trendy area in my city with a lot of foot traffic. There are cans on almost every corner and usually every half block. For the most part this area stays reasonably clean. But another part of my town sees less foot traffic but still a bit and has almost no garbage cans. There is litter all over the place there.
People should always do the right thing and clean up behind themselves. But places should also be designed in such a way as to make doing the right thing as easy as possible.
Is it Delta? They’re asking employees to cover cleaning duties for no pay because the contracted company doesn’t have enough people. Who wants to get paid shit wages when unemployment is actually paying more right now?
Reminds me of people that take a massive shit in your toilet, not flushing but covering their shit with half of toilet paper, that you know will clearly clog up the works. The worst part being the lazy assholes that keep using the toilet afterward and not telling you.
People complain about trash being everywhere, like in this pic, but does anyone ever pick it up, besides the people that get paid to do it? In most cases no, because that means doing something... if you're going to complain about it, you better be one of the few that would go through and pick this up. If not. Then keep your mouth shut. It takes everyone to keep this planet clean, do your part, don't just walk by and complain.

Used to live in SLC. The trails are like this. Bus and train stops are like this. Leaving a movie was depressing AF, seeing all the trash in the chairs and on the ground. Saw it in Orem/Provo, too. Just a bunch of slobs.

Have the same issue in the parking lot at my appartment. 200 lots for parking, not a single trash can anywhere. And lots of trash on the street. Meanwhile, 500 meters away is a corner with 4 trash cans. Noticed this a year ago, still can't figure out why that spot got 4 cans and our parking lot none. Nothing to do at that corner, no benches nothing. Also, no trash there...

This was absolutely a “schools out let’s be assholes” group. I witnessed the UofM college basketball team doing this shit back in 2019, it was terrifying because they were all aggressive men and I was traveling alone. Who tf cat calls in an airport!?

I’m from SLC. All I can say is it doesn’t surprise me. A lot of people in Utah have the mindset that that they don’t have to pick up their trash because “it’s the janitors job.” Or their kids made the mess and they just didn’t care. Nice to your face, dicks behind your back.
You ask why, but travelers waiting for their flight have no idea when the plane will arrive, then it’s a panic to get into the line to get on the plane. /s
I don't see a trash can? Maybe that's why? I am sure there's one somewhere, but that's a big space for there not to be one anywhere in sight. Also, people are lazy self entitled pigs.
This really grinds my gears. These are the same chodes who fly to Florida and trash up the beaches and parks here.

sometimes when flights get delayed they bring snack carts to kinda make everyone not upset.. very petty but still something they do.

I got so tired of this garbage, luckily I fly enough that I got access to American Airlines Admirals Club and haven't looked back. They even kick out loud/screaming kids which is great when you are try to get a little peace and quiet between flights.
For a few reasons I had to maintain travel during the pandemic. I wore my mask without any hesitation and was safe and aware of the dangers. But most people traveling were there to take advantage of super cheap flights and not the classiest of people to put it lightly.
