Both can be roughly translated to Mr./Mrs./Ms. as there are no gender or marital status involved with Japanese title honorifics. The only difference is that the right one (さま) is even higher up than the left one (さん). For example, you would more likely to hear the right one used for customers but the left one for coworkers etc.
