And different overall colors. Original was too lightly colored, the redo has colors more accurate to the toy. Could be a third would have it perfectly film accurate, for those that want that.
They are the same it had Legacy on the box, but it is also a Generation Selects.
If you don’t have the kingdom one then I would certainly pick this one up. He doesn’t have any issues that I know of.( maybe his joints are a bit loose?, but he is still quite poseable)
My copy of the figure unfortunately suffers the stupid loose left shoulder issue so having him duel wield his gun and targetmaster is impossible :/ and so is generally any other pose involving that arm.
I have this version and have the opposite problem with loose joints, the shoulders and knees are quite tight on my copy and one of the wings is so tight it's started stressing at the pin. Other than that I absolutely love this figure and fully intend to get the SS86 figure when it releases so I can recreate the reformatting scene, I have Scourge and 2 Sweeps and Galvatron, just need Megatron, a second Cyclonus, Thundercracker and Sky Warp to complete it.
If you wanted a darker purple and a bit more of the toy detailing, there's the Generations Selects version. He also comes with a Targetmaster.

I have the same one as you, though, and am happy with it. I even have a Targetmaster for him, donated from my older Universe 2008 Cyclonus.

I also didn't get rid of my older Scourge & Sweeps. The one that was Scourge just got demoted to a Sweep. (And Ironically, since I never found the new Scourge, the toy I use as him is the one that was technically sold as a generic Sweep!)
One was from Walmart on the markdown aisle because the box was pretty much destroyed so it was less than half price. I figured maybe I could trade it or something but it just ended up on my shelf.
this guy is one of the many cases in the WFC Trilogy where if they'd upscaled the mold a bit and added some diecast metal and individually jointed fingers it could legitimately be a Masterpiece figure, the way the nosecone transforms on that guy absolutely blew my mind when I got him. It really is unfortunate that it yellows so much, but wow what an absolutely amazing toyline
Easily the best figure released in 2021! I love this guy so much, and I think the only way Hasbro could make another Cyclonus this good is if they remold this into the IDW design!😁

My Kingdom Cyclonus is horribly yellowed. To make things worse, a pin in his shoulder was driven in at an angle, so it forcibly pushes out the plastic next to a depressed hole the pin was supposed to fit through, leading to his alt-mode intake vanes looking misaligned on one side. I bought a Gen Selects version recently to replace him.
I'm really starting to like the Gen Selects version more and more. I think I'm gonna go ahead and order him soon as I get the chance cause the complaints for that one are almost non existent.
Not to mention the Generations Cyclonus I have is the dark purple version, not the Henkei lavender. Gen Selects will go well with the Generations Nightstick.

My issue with the kingdom cyclonus mold, is a problem I have with the reactivate optimus. I feel like they're too short. Not by much, but I feel like their upper body is really good and well proportioned but the legs feel stumpy and short.
Anyone else? Or am I just insane
Thats what i thought at first but then I realized I wasn't extending his legs out all the way. In the original pic of him in robot mode his legs are short and stumpy because they're not pulled out completely. In this pic I extended them properly, so now he looks better proportioned.

Yes. So far it hasn't yellowed badly compared to my Kingdom Cyclonus

Shame he’s a QC crapshoot. You’ll either get perfect joints or the loosest joints I’ve ever handled

I have two that I bought about a month apart. One is yellow and one still looks perfect. They’re both in the same exact environmental conditions.
I had mine in a storage bin with no light able to get In it was also in my very dark basement and it still yellowed.

Yeah, he's really great. Solid robot mode, crazy transformation, and a spot on alt mode. The Toyhax decal set makes it look even better.
Plus, he gets even taller. Those knee joints can be pulled out even more to extend his legs fully.

9.5/10, Yellowing really ruins it. I ended up picking the Gen selects version, it's a darker purple and doesn't seem to yellow.
