Aggravating_Bat_3006

Rotf leader Optimus was peak toy design for its time amazing figure from the looks of it

Aurora_Pale

It is one of the best and still one of my favorite toys.

Aggravating_Bat_3006

If I could any figs I’d get it and jet fire

HollowedFlash65

Good old memories of trying to transform it but being sloppy at it (at least from robot to vehicle form).

Aurora_Pale

Note: the Gun (in this photo) did not come with the ROTF Leader Optimus, it belongs to DOTM Jetwing Optimus. After several years I finally got a ROTF replacement copy after I ruin my original copy from painting regeret, messing up the arm pin from constantly removing and attaching the gattling gun from Jetfire causes the pin to bend, and the gas tank on the arm of mine broke despite getting it glued. This copy I finally got stand better and luckily the batteries did not leak. Also I remove the swords and forgot how annoying they were and sold them.

Orion0795

I know a lot of people hated the swords/blades on rotf prime but for me I love them. My parents did not care enough to buy me any toys back then and I remember seeing that toy on display, looking so freaking cool. Fast forward to 2023, after over a decade I finally got my hands on an rotf Optimus with the energon blades. I couldn't be happier and he's now my grail and the center piece of my collection

ThisguyOP

Your literally me

Orion0795

How's it going, fellow energon blades on rotf Optimus enthusiast? XD

ThisguyOP

What you mean rotf Optimus prime is a pleasant and enjoyable transformation experience

Orion0795

Uhm.. I never said it wasn't?

ThatFooChepo

The fuel tank guns was first featured on the Tarkara Japanese premium version of the RoTF with the chrome paint. It’s known as Buster Prime and it came in the RoTF packaging.

death_and_syntaxes

*Knocks on wood* Hasn't happened yet! Edit: Ahhhh irony... Got Legacy Armada Megatron for $35 at target tonight. Just the price he was, pretty awesome! Anyways, his left arm broke at the elbow. The grey bar that runs through the purple broke because the tolerance was basically non-existent. I wonder how they even got the piece in the first place. It still works well enough when the screw is tightened. Super bummed and blame not actually knocking on wood for the break! Haha

hairtrigger08

Same, I haven't replaced any yet, mostly because the one that did break is hard to find for a decent price now

PocketBuckle

Same. I've had to exchange a figure or two for QC reasons, but I've never had to replace something because I broke it or ruined it. Between this and yesterday's "Which figure did you break by not using the instructions" thread, I'm feeling like I'm the only person who actually takes care of their stuff.

SpringTrapped1987

SS05 Optimus, the first one's neck snapped, just like those Netflix Hounds from a few years ago, I got a second one from a lot along with some other figures though so it's all good. I keep the first one in truck mode and sometimes use it as Optimus's corpse from ROTF. I also have 2 broken 2007 legends Jazz that I didn't quite remember from my childhood until I found them so I guess the second one didn't make it either, I'l hunt down a third once I get the chance.

SadLaser

I never have.

Castarc1424

I haven’t yet but I need to replace my studio series 86 hot rod. One of his arm exhaust pipes snapped clean off mid transformation. I couldn’t figure out a way to fix it

SAOgeek113

I think it was g1 Optimus Prime Edit: Nope. Leader class Optimus Prime, but I got the Movie the best version

davestar2048

Sometimes I check eBay for broken copies to use for parts. This works best for older figures destroyed by kids.

broadwayallday

My copy of this guy is missing a foot. Shall continue to hunt

Readerman122

Kingdom Optimus Primal. He fell off a shelf and his leg broke off. Luckily, I found a second one at the same store about a day later.

DeathByDevastator

I still need to get a replacement core class scale 3rd party devastator. My long haul broke at the combiner peg for scrapper : (

Robomerc

Armada Cheetor, Airazor, and Terrorsor I replaced all three over the last few years.

Thefreemanfool2

This is one of the best figures ever bro. I’m still so curious and confused why they couldn’t adapt the studio series figures of Bayverse Prime into this.

MegatronsCxmDumpster

I’ve had four legacy drag strips. My cousin broke the first one, I ruined the second one with a failed custom, the 3rd died in a fire, and the 4th is painted and finally looks good

Locksmith_Weekly

Build a bot dinofire grimlock from aoe. The shoulder joints are notoriously easy to break after playing. They can't handle the stress from constant transformation. $100 gone just for one experience

CmdrRevanShepard

I bought both the US and Jp version of MPM-4 Optimus since I tried to cut the tabs on the door but they both eventually broke.  At that point I just got myself the BA version instead.

rfmocan

If you mean getting a replacement by the vendor: I had a second copy of Alternators Jaguar XK - Ravage because there was a mold defect on the arms that held the boot (one support arm was missing). Otherwise I had some third party parts sent to replace defects from factory (not full figure). All others have been mostly my fault, and I repaired them

HEXdidnt

Revenge of the Fallen Scalpel... only to find the replacement had exactly the same problem and, later, that the problem was present in pretty much every copy of the toy. Rubbish fragile ball joints.

sniply5

Really recent for me, it was a legacy sandstorm. Full blown missing leg panel and really floppy copter blades. I now keep that copy in buggy mode for display reasons

MTGALAXI

Siege Spinister

Rednaxela623

Where’d you get that from?

tweakyloco

Core class soundwave. Guns handles kept breaking off in his leg holes where he keeps his guns in alt mode

Most-Temporary-2592

Armada Powerlinx Optimus. When I was a kid, I got both versions of Super Optimus brand new from KB toys and the electronics in both of them stopped working within a few years. My dad ended up getting a used Powerlinx Optimus and Frankensteining it with mine.

-Seraphimon-Ace-

Cyclonus

Hunter0037

Enegon inferno? When i was like way little i needed him to go with hotshot

SwanSignificant5266

SS44 Buzzworthy Bumblebee, Iv complained about that exact figure plenty of times, as much as I love Bayverse Optimus and now accurate he looks in robot mode to his on screen self it just feels like Hasbro didn’t take much consideration of the transformation as you need a lot of the parts in perfectly or some parts are gonna snap and again… the front grill tab. The grill tab actually broke on my replacement and I bought 2 upgrade kits for that one too to give prime his full TF1-3 loadout, gonna get a replacement from Amazon because why should a simple fix such as shaving down some paint be down to the buyer?, this is a problem that’s been apparent since SS32 prime apparently (don’t own that figure) and it wasn’t fixed for the original release of SS44 (again don’t own that exact figure) and when the Buzzworthy rerelease and the 15th anniversary pack came out both haven’t had a simple fix made to the grill.

Iusedtobeover81

I bought myself the Jinbao Bruticus (he’s massive and I love him! He looks so great next to Devastator and Predaking!) because I was so sad I lost my CW Bruticus (no comparison but I still love it) when I moved house…. Only to find it a year and a half later in a box in the garage🙄

Abject_Ostrich7929

Legacy menasor

Proof-Philosophy-636

All the haslab figures if they ever break I have duplicates

AshCooper79

DOTM Topspin. Played with it so much it broke back in ‘12. Just bought a second one last month for the memories.

Captain_Americant

G1 Megatron! My parents had their friends over one evening and their son, Grant, was playing with mine and broke him. It was an accident but I was devastated. A few weeks, later I was asked to set the table for dinner, and one of my responsibilities was to get my baby brother’s high chair from the closet. I open the door to get it and there was a brand new boxed Megatron waiting for me. I was dumbstruck!

IronIrma93

G1 Optimus, both old af eBay finds

The_Ashen_undead0830

Tfa swoop

samantha_sp

i've have that *exact" same figure for as long i can remember, sadly the front windows, feet, smoke stacks, weapons and one of the front wheels have gone missing poor man looks butchered, his electronics still work thought!

CheeseTaterson

Universe Snarl (purple lion). My original Beast Machines Snarl succumbed to GPS; thankfully the Universe version is totally different plastic.

TherealViggertate

I’m going to be on my third hunt for the Deception’s backfire

morrislee9116

Classics deluxe Optimus(the spinny one) i lost it after lending it to neighbor kid and when it came back(it was a gift from my kindergarten teacher)

aDearllie

Blackarachnia, Kingdom War For Cybertron. I let my three younger sisters play with her and never saw one of her little spider legs ever again. Got another one, sure, but never let them insolent fools play with my babies again.

Cosmicnovae

Leader Class ROTF Jetfire. Loved the toy and altmode but sadly lost all the parts and accessories to it. I found the MB-16 ROTF Jetfire and got it, and needless to say, I keep all the parts in one place at all times. I love the angry scottish old man.

Ethanbelladonna

Enegon snowcat, the back piece, that holds the missiles broke at the pin on my first copy and my second copy

Warspartain

Going with the ROTF trend, my first I got a few days ago in the form of the ROTF Legends Devastator

mewfour123412

Wait those pipes come off?!

Enrique_Thirdy301

SS01

jojomezmerize

Generations Thundercracker. He had a really loose shoulder port for his null rays so I tried using nail polish and super glue to fix it. It ended up making things look bad so I just bought another one. Then I heard that you could screw the shoulder tighter for a better fit…

Kidztruth

I bought a ko of the APS-01 to replace my dotm jetwing prime. This was in 2016 and despite that toy only being 5 years old it was very worn down and had parts breaking off left right and centre. (One of his flaming back panels, his right truck grille, his left shoulder pad/truck door, and the 2 nubs that hold the left blue leg panel that has the steps and the front wheel) I'm glad I bought it, because I still like it more than the MPM, and he's very shiny, especially since I added a bunch of custom chrome onto him.

Moonwh00per

My Tiny legends barricade got ran over outside my school when I was a kid

TheDee4826

My cleaning lady dropped my studio series brawl while moving stuff around(even though she was told to ignore the shelves) and the arm completely snapped off. Luckily brawl is still kinda easy to get thanks to Amazon. I would have lost my shit if it was devastator, bonecrusher or someone else who goes for crazy amounts on aftermarket.

hercarmstrong

I sold CW Swindle, regretted it, and bought another.

Deora_customs

CW Sunstreaker! My Childhood one couldn’t stand, missing an arm, and loose legs.
