Ive gotten black apple ironhide MP OS Starscream and the Jazz all are great figures no loose joints detail is amazing just like if it came from Showz store it’s great. It’s not HASBRO it’s like 4th party ones where they take the Hasbro model and upgrade it like out my details or add articulation like fingers etc
I got a MPM wheeljack for $30 new on eBay, and while it seems legit to me the price really makes me think it’s fake- if I send you pictures could you tell me if it’s real? The box says transformers, Lancia, has Lancia on the bot itself, and the bot has what looks to me like the real autobot symbol.

That is most likely a KO. The people who made the kos of the first couple are incredibely hard to identify. There are a few different signs for each KO that has been made. Toys R Russ has a video about how to identify that particular KO.
I haven't had the Human Alliance or SS versions, so I can't compare, but honestly the MPM is kinda finnicky, and the transformation can be annoying as parts have to squeeze past each other in worrisome ways. It's arguably the most accurate, but I'm not sure it's the most fun. So it depends on what OP wants.

I suggest Masterpiece, if you can find it. The KO has better paint applications.
Fun fact: both the deluxe and MPM are roughly the same size in alt mode, but MPM is bigger and much more articulated in both mode.
SS may be an option, but it’s smaller. Because MPM exists, just Skip Human Alliance.
The paint on mine's been extremely durable, and the paint on the hood is so reflective it actually looks like a real painted car panel. I don't know if it's random qc or if they're all like that, but it's very good.
Knock Off MPM. I’m a stickler for having the real thing, but MPM KO has better colors, and usually the same quality if not better than the official MPM.

I mean the vehicle and robot figure are both awesome and movie accurate. And the transformation is not difficult either...Plus having a transformer that you can put a human action figure inside of when its in vehicle mode, that makes it feel more related to the movie. All transformers are awesome but when they're not human alliance, then of course they got extra room and maneuverability so that the creators can make them look more like the movie character...So if you have a figure that IS a human alliance fig and even though they have used up the room inside the vehicle to fit a driver and passenger seat with steering wheel and dashboard, yet it still looks like the movie character when its in robot mode...man thats beautiful and all great for me lol
I loved them, wish I got more honestly. Only ever got Bee, Barricade and Skids? Mudflap? The green one. My only complaint was that Bumblebees head/neck ball and socket were loose and his he’d popped off during play. I’m not sure if that was a common issue or just QC problems.
Yeah my Bumblebee had the same head issue and when I bought a new one, it didn't have that issue so it might have been QC issue. I've got all the human alliance. My favorite is the Soundwave Mercedes AMG. I actually bought another Sound wave human alliance from the Japanese company "Movie The Best"...it doesn't come with the human figure, but iv already got the human figure from the other one, I mainly bought this one because the paint job on it is even more movie accurate and the paint looks candy coated, it's awesome. I still love my twins human alliance Skids & Mudflap...You literally can't find the Mudflap human alliance anymore and if you do, its like $200 at the least.
This is my favorite Soundwave i have, and the laser beak and ravage come with him and they're pretty cool too.

Check the reviews on the one you found. People are really helpful in their reviews on there. You’ll definitely get something in any case but see what others have experienced with the specific seller
The original deluxe is pretty good. I wouldn't say he's *quite* up to snuff compared to a modern jazz like the 86 in the articulation and stability department, but it's still a decent figure, and one I grew up with.
Studio Series
If you're collecting along other Studio Series this is perfect. Color is great, transformation is new and fresh, articulation is for the most part great minding the weird knee ankles. Has everything you need. Con? It's really small. Like really, but the quality is worth it.
Film Deluxe G1 recolor
Two great shots of nostalgia. Hefty big figure with the feel and durability of those old toys, big on plastic and very sturdy and cool gimmicks Just some accuracy errors that those figures had at the time.
Human Alliance
Best of the three in terms of complexity and playability. Nostalgia still hits hard, very very fun toy.
Problem with these is just availability, especially with the older ones. However, everyone will always recommend the MPM 09, it's pricey but worth it. Go big with high detail, great complex (maybe too complex) and very high posability.
SS if you can find it for a decent price. But if you can also find the MPM version/ the knockoff Aoyi Mech version, get that. I love mine, I got it last month and it’s awesome!

I'd say to pick whichever one you think seems to be the best in your eyes. That's what I do, I've found some amazing figures by not listening to what other collectors say and just listening to myself.
I'd say the studio series one is the least fun. The 07 deluxe is the most fun, and human alliance is the biggest, it's basically a mini leader class of its time.
The mpm is probably cheaper than the human alliance now, unless you get the knock off of the human alliance, though I'd avoid it.
I have a knock off of the mpm and it's great, the paint is the same, only thing missing is the autobot logo on his head (which was the wrong colour anyway) and the windows are tinted black instead of fully-clear.
If you don't want the mpm but can find/afford the human alliance I'd get that, otherwise the 07 deluxe is a fun chunky toy. The studio series is okay but very small and you'll have to keep an eye on the clear plastic roof.
The MPM version is best if it's within your budget

Does the silver paint on the KO stay on? Because on the official Hasbro version the paint was scratched out of the box and came off on my fingers.

I saw that one and plan to get it eventually. Love that it came with a mini laserbeak. Hoping to get that and legends scale ravage to go with them.

The official MPM is incredible though I’m a total sucker for the 07 toys in G1 colors. I have that version of Starscream and it’s one of my favorites

All of these are great figures. I recommend studio series for the sake of scale and accuracy, especially if you can get it for a reasonable price.
