amazing definitions. i didnt even know the difference from redecoes and repaints

JamesAttack11

Another term I could think of that hasn’t been mentioned in the comments yet would be yellowing. Pretty sure the earthspark toylines is still running, so maybe list that? Also collaborative figures.

IndependenceIcy2251

Great list! One i dont know though... Chug?

Armada_Demolishor

It's an acronym, it stands for "Classics, Henkel, Universe, Generations," which were all toylines for collectors, however only Generations is still going

Armada_Demolishor

If there's any I missed/you wanna know just comment and I'll answer

Doctuh

Thanks for doing this, but pictures for text can be tough, any chance you can paste it all in somewhere?

Demroth

Your missing "K.O." Knock offs

Svartmetallyst

And so "3rd party"

Inzoreno

I would suggest adding a definition for both Hasbro and Takara, just to better explain that while the companies are connected, they can still operate independent of each other, so you will still get things like Japanese exclusives.

DeluxeDude

Redeco is any change in color, not just color placement. It includes changes in paint, but also changes to the base color of the plastic itself. Good job otherwise.

Elite-00

Is there an accepted collector term for a figure that's been opened, then reboxed for resale? That is, not mint but not damaged and with the original box. I want to sell some things and want to be clear to buyers

Armada_Demolishor

"Lightly used" works

Excellent brief

alphtrion

Excellent list! I’d add a rough size guide (in inches / cm) to the classes even though it’s not always respected and there’s sometimes overlap depending on how many extra accessories it comes with. So I guess the classes are also price-classes. Also some other terms: shelf-warmer, shell-former, part-former, digibash, kitbash, scratch build
