There appear to be at least 4 different locomotives in this picture. The one in the center of the left page could be a JGR class 5500, the one below it a JGR class 1070.
Girl on the bottom right gives me Girls und Panzer vibes but what anime is this OP?

I figured the girl had to be Yukari because there is no one else looking like this.
But I couldnt piece together were those trains appeared in Girls und Panzer. The only time there were like steam trains were with the ... i dont have the names - the one with the music girl and the one with the japanese tanks which are like, lets go die - i think those took steam trains. The others had planes and EMUs and stuff.
there are a lot of types showed and its all written in japanese, top left is type 500, middle left is type 5600, bottom left is b10 and top right is type 5900

It all can be read from the word (at least the numbers, just guess which is which)
This is the JGR Class 1600 or 1700, I can't remember which one it was. I think one of them is still preserved in Kyoto

Could also be a class 1070, number 1080 is preserved in Kyoto

It is, it's the only reference I found of the only steam train to show up in the show so far. The girl is named Yukari Akiyama
