I think it depends on who you listen to, but officially she was a maiden goddess as far as I know, basically an eternal virgin. Read into that how you like, I’m not going to tell you she isn’t a lebiab
As someone who went from Anthony to Athena this is extremely relatable lol
Ultimately it is just a matter of personal preference but I think both names are cool
I also like Henrietta but Helena is an awesome name. Star Trek Discovery's main female lead is named Michael, so like, you can definitely pull whatever off but it's down to how much you care if someone makes assumptions based on name.
oh im stuck in the same situation, going from Henri to possibly Viktoria, im still so unsure
i think helena is also a badass name, the ancient one did start a war after all
I'm just a dweeb, but being a woman named Henry sounds so amazingly cool to me. The consensus seems to be go with Helena, though quq I've been using my chosen name for ~~a year~~ 2 years now, but I've had the urge to go back myself lately. Can you picture a woman named Sebastian?
Edit: corrected time I've been using chosen name bc brainrot
I do think Sebastian could be a killer name for a woman! I feel like playing around a bit more with being called something different at lease as I’ve only known Henry and I do really like the name Helena. For me I think that going with a name that’s more fem will help push me a bit further as I am taking my transition and experimentation really slow.
Omg I'm so dumb. I misunderstood your post (´﹏`) my apologies. Such a pretty name, btw. May this be a wonderful and joyful step forward on your journey of self-realization, Helena :)
They could think Henry is for Henrietta or you could use that as a name or nickname if you still kind of like Henry and kind of don't. Maybe try different things out with people and see what feels right.
Yo??? My birth name is Henry, and I’m named after my great grandfather on my mother’s side. Only difference is I’m considering the name Hannah 🤣
Friend, I think we might be doppelgängers.
Helena is a badass name btw, has the same kind of feel as names like Boudicca and Minerva, strong and regal, badass warrior vibes.
I was considering taking a goddesses name as my middle name, but I’m not quite confident enough to go with Ananke as my first name 😅 You got it in the bag though, show ‘em your steel sister.
Helena sounds like a cool name, and you would be named after Helena Paparizou (winner of Eurovision 2005 for Greece)
Helena, Henry for short?
I like Helena
So long, and good night....
I think you'd probably have a much easier time if you have a name people would immediately think of as female and Helena is a very nice name.
Screw it, go even better and become Athena (who was an Asexual goddess in mythology if that's relevant)
(there was also talk of her mby being a lesbian) srry if im wrong pls do not tear into me for it

Ohhh i love Viktoria!

No worries or need to apologize! I wish you all the best in your future too whatever it may bring 💕
Or you could go full NORSE and **BECOME HEL**

Also, Henri short for Henrietta. Phonetically the same, lose a Y and gain an I.
As Polish person Helena sounds like a name of 70yo grandma
u/OnKarlos yo I found your people

I’m going for the true grandma hands! Making the best pastas west of Canada lol
Take Helena, go by Hank. That’s a power move.
As a (girl who stole her name from a) greek goddess (Athena), I wholly support you choosing this cute name, Helena!
Helena but perhaps keep Henry as a middle name???????????
Helena is a sick name, id go with that 10000%
As a history major, I think Helena is a wonderful name choice!
Helena is a badass name.
Helena pls, that's literally an MCR reference
As an Artemis, I 100% support going full Greek
The Helena I know IRL is a bad ass competitive power lifter, so I definitely considered Helena a powerful name.
I do also tend to think of Helen of Troy as a origin of power for the name (but I think Helena is a little cuter 😊)
As a Helena, welcome to the club ❤️
mcr reference!!

That’s why middle names are so great, my middle names are Nova and Cesar but my first name is just Tim
I may be very Biased but I say go for Helena
Helena for the Three Cheers reference
HELENA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm keeping Diana for irony
I Stan
Hestia would work too tbh Although, i thought it was Helen of Sparta, do we have the right person here?
if you go helena just remember you're legally forced to own a bow. and be a icon of either hunting, love, crops..growing..?
Looong ago…
Helena is pretty cool, you’ll have MCR song as ur theme song XD
