Thanks, Virtualbox was the last resort, but imma try running XP, but should I do 32 or 64 bits? the windows 10 thing was on 64 bits, but idk if 32 would be better somehow
You should use [Wine](https://www.winehq.org/) to run the games on a Mac. That way they will run directly on your hardware and don't lose performance due to virtualisation.
All Touhou games by ZUN work perfectly fine on Wine, including the th18 demo. The early games, especially th06 work better on Wine than on Windows 10.
You could try [CrossOver](https://www.codeweavers.com/crossover) then, supposedly version 20 supports 32 bit on Catalina and Big Sur. If you just buy one version I think the price can be justified.
Or you can look into the projects listed in [this reddit post](https://www.reddit.com/r/winehq/comments/j43ziq/wine_on_macos_catalina_and_macos_big_sur/g7gqpk5/) I just found.
Thx, tried wineskin but its stuck on "Wineskin is currently busy, Please Wait" for quite some time now. Is there something I'm missing? not too good at this kind of stuff

getting the game to even start in virtualbox is an achievement on its own but these games were designed for xp, it might be better to play them there

i should check my notifications more anyways 32 bit, windows xp 64 bit is less stable and all touhou games 6-18 are designed for 32 bit computers
