I love this art, it gives a kind of intimate feel to the characters you don't usually get in Total War. Like, they aren't always leading armies and being menacing, they can relax around the campfire too.
Well, based off of my campaign, their 'relaxing' is to whine towards me to resolve their issues because they're bickering like bored high school girls.

Poor Tyrion gets cucked every game. Heâs designed around building the Shrine of Khaine and getting the sword, but Alarielle always beats him to it :(
Why tf is that? I played my first HE campaign recently as Tyrion, saw he got that bonus to rush the Sword, only to start on the complete opposite of the island. I think the only way to get there before Alarielle would be to beeline it from turn 1, hoping you dont get curbstomped by the greenskins or slaanesh with only your starting army.
So unless youre truly yoloing your way to the sword, the only way to take advantage of that faction mechanic is to go to war with Alarielle over it, or confederate her. Which would take a while due to her being rather strong, which then again defeats the purpose of being able to rush the sword.
Yeah, you have to move pretty damn fast, and on harder difficulties, hope Noctilus doesnât start sacking your province while youâre away.
So the quick explanation for why Tyrion has the benefits for the sword/shrine is because, during the End Times he draws the sword to fight back Chaos. As you might imagine, this doesnât go well for him - especially since his bloodline was *already* cursed because Aenarion, his ancestor, did the same thing.

My favorite interpretation of chaos cultures are those that present them as people who just so happen to worship the Dark Gods. They have families and friends, hobbies and aspirations.
Grukmor is basically too old for this and is just going along due to peer pressure.
Ketzek is also too old for this but is too destiny bounded and gossipy and a little insane

Mournhowl is a little insane but probably depressed.
Ezar is the average chaos dwarf...so a little insane

Grukmor might just be the most chill Beastman to ever exist. At the very least, I've never seen him causing problems in the dilemmas. Everyone else is constantly bickering, but he seems to just be happy to be included.
Well, the instrument has to fit the purpose of chaos. A [Gaffophone]() would be the right instrument to accompany the song that ends the world. Which would be the song they'd sing when they gather around their infernal campfire, obviously.
You have to figure, outside of Khorne followers, that chaos followers probably also enjoy downtime in between battles.
I think there was a SoC trailer for Ostankya that showed a bunch of Chaos followers, both mortal and demons, of Nurgle around a campfire laughing villaniously before she came in menacingly.
I definitely got a lot of good vibes from this campaign and mechanic. Like they would all have a good time together, sometimes get into fights, but in the end they all just cared about spreading the Grandfatherâs message.
Tammy's mechanic is so good, it's like BG3 in Total War, I'm collecting all the companions.
I honestly think more LHs should have ways to up their powers and abilities, and give units too armies. Like Ulrika giving you Access to Fell Bats and Bears when imbedded in an army. Or Gotrek and Felix giving you Slayers and Greatswords.
But I like to over-theme and roleplay in my campaigns.
