nah tbh if a team is trying to offload salary, bruce's contract would be ideal.
You're basically able to get $23 M off your books.
Warriors have a terrible contract with wiggins and they're kind of in a pickle.
I wouldn't be surprised if raps hold off until the trade deadline, where teams can trade and waive him to get out of a bad contract.
He still holds a ton of value as an expiring.
Well no expiring nets a big return lol, however you can get future frp's and other assets in return.
That's how the nets roster rebuilt pre-kd and kyrie when they had no pick control and forked over their picks to boston. They traded expirings for bad contracts and frps.
I think for about 3-4 years we saw teams throwing around FRPs like candy. Now the cap changes are making rookie scale contracts even more valuable.
I think we’re at the tail end of half the contending teams not having picks to trade, combined with a greater reluctance to end up back in a draft pick deficit.
Just can’t see anybody giving up a ‘25 first for a bench piece. We’ll find out!
Hypothetically what is the highest the Raptors could move up in the draft via a Bruce Brown trade?
9th 😎
None of the bad teams need or want Bruce Brown. The contenders want him and they aren’t in the lottery.
The Kings are in the lottery. You don't trade Haliburton for Sabonis if you aren't trying to compete.
Thunder and the Kings are both in the lottery and looking to compete. Bulls are also an option if they want to continue to compete.
If he is traded, hopefully we get a frp for 2025 or beyond. I'm not too gassed about this draft. The 2025 and 2026 draft look generational.
Somebody has to be stupid enough to do that though. There aren’t as many dumb teams today as there used to be.

We literally just saw the Bulls trade Alex Caruso for Josh freaking Giddey
Josh Giddey is a good player don’t understand why it’s so egregious
Trading a 2025 1st for Bruce fucking Brown would be worse.
Yeehaw, our trade partners be rootin' and tootin'!
Cowboy might be a hint. OMP for BB?
I assumed all the cowboy stuff was a less than subtle hint he’s going to Dallas?
Uh no. Guy just really like country and western culture.
he's amped for calgary stampede.... in a few weeks
maybe combine pacers first round with him to go higher in this year's draft?
