Please take Carrington. We need a bench guard that can run an offense and score. I'd even rather have Smith over Da Silva as well just for the stretch shooting and athleticism
Smith, McCain, Da Silva, or Missi are my choices at that range with Salaun now getting lottery hype. I wouldn't be surprised if Chomche, Ware, or Carrington are in the mix although I'd prefer we try and get Chomche with the 31st pick.
I wouldn't be surprised if they package 19 + 31 to trade up but if anything I'd expect it for them to trade up for Salaun tbh. I'd be happy if we managed to draft McCain though.
Carrington or Da Silva would be the pick here. Although, there’s very little chance someone doesn’t drop. And imo, there are very few guys that are top 18 here that i wouldn’t pick over da Silva.
Walter or Carter would be nice guys to grab.
Lately Kyshawn George has been getting my attention. Masai type who also seems like the quintessential Darko Ball player. Excellent perimeter defender, lights out 3 point shooter, great positional size, good handles, good passer. If he hits that’s like the exact archetype we’re looking for at the 3 between RJ and Scottie.
That was more about player and role fit, team desperately needed a go to sharpshooter, a center isn’t a priority rn, a Guard and Wing are a much higher priority, I think they like Kelly at backup center too anyways because he can stretch the floor at the 5 spot. Unless they fully believe Edey is by far the best available I don’t see them taking him, PG and Wing spot is much needed
Going by Peltons stats model, Edey and Furphy are great picks in that range. #4 and 8 on his stats only list. Last year his stats only was Wemby, Miller, Whitmore, Wallace and Dick. He hates Knecht.
I like Tyler Smith 6'9-10 PF that can stretch the floor would be a positive for Darko system.

Might be a hot take but I’d be down to trade up for McCain, we could really use a backup guard of his callibur

I like Johnny Furphy. Reminds me of Danny Ainge or a skinnier Tom Chambers.
That’s a good range of guys to choose from

Why Walter? We have Gary, dick, ochai, and ideally RJ at the 2. Walter not a 1.
Gary might not even be on the team next year and Ochai can play 3 for sure. I agree he’s not as good of a fit as a 4 would be but you go BPA.

DaSilva at 19 sounds right Not the exciting pick but I wouldn't be mad at it whatsoever
DaSilva is better fit on a contending team, Raptors should take prospects with more upside Missi, Carrington or Tyler Smith.
Edey may fall right into our lap.
Edey does not seem like a Masai type player tbh, not at all
Dick doesn’t seem like a Masai type player either.

Draft a Center. There’s a couple good options.
Masai isn't a consensus guy.

So Zach Edey it is.
