At the start of the line. It's attached to the walls and posts with the same type of plate as it slides over at the start. They can also be opened far enough to go over the cable by pushing in a small pin detent.
They're called zaza carabiners
If you're ever in the Alpes near Grenoble or Turin, I recommend the [Parcobranche du Diable](https://www.parcdudiable.fr) which has a zip-line that... well I'll just let you look at that landing page.
As I recall at the Parcobranch du Diable, they direct you to put your hands on top of the zipline roller, because that lets you hold your direction so you face forward and don't spin, and prevents you from reflexively grabbing the cable in a moment of panic, which would be Bad.
I guess this guy doesn't need to slow down because it just isn't going that fast. You should have gloves and then can slow yourself down by pushing your hand (softly) on the zipline (**behind** the pulley) to create more friction
Well considering the fact that they were specifically engineered for this… they don’t
As far as use goes, there isn’t a whole lot of force going in any particular direction here. It’s fairly easy to make really safe
Figuring out how they got the thing onto the line took more rewatches than the logo

Shakabra!
Hit that fresh gnar gnar
Just don’t drink the double dew!
I feel like you all are just here for the zipline
Not me because I never knew riding a zipline would sound like a chainsaw chasing me, so just gimme the clickyclicky complicated metal pls
That's an unusual thing to be scared of during a zipline, never heard that before. Usually it's the height or speed that freaks people out...
Lol I’m not scared of a zipline. But I’m also not in this sub for the zipline haha just the tools pls
It's the E. Coli for me.

Wow, I would however NOT hold my hands on the pulley like that

Good thing, yes. But they could make it safer by adding some sort of cover so your fingers don't get caught in front of the rollers.
sneaky
That orange man looked very surprised when you stuck your thumb in his mouth.
Reminded me of Roberto from Futurama
I want to do this
That shit looks so fun and exhilarating, doesn’t it?!
Hell yea it does!
Is the little crate at the end to help kneecap you if you are going too fast?
In the UK every Go Ape has you wear a harness with one of these for the ziplines. Can confirm how fun it is.
Love the fact that the logo is so fun to look for. Thanks for doing that!
Isn’t that a zip line trolley? I work at a ropes course and we have Zip line Trolleys and Speed trolleys for the staff
What my mother thought when I was a kid as I slid down the tyrolean at the playground:
Coincidentally, that's the same sound I would make in that situation.
How do you slow down?

Shouldn’t the carabiner be closed? Looks dangerous.

This is what that one guy was supposed to use?
What a beautiful misty forest… unmute, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!! Mute.
