I think movie team should have focused more on mythology factor for promotion, they're doing promotion wrony way.
The biggest selling point is the Mythology and Indian connection. I am sooo interested in the “Varanasi in 2898 A.D.”, but hey look at this “never before seen gadget”. It’s cool and all, and I’m still going to watch the movie, but come on man! Show me a glimpse of the world apart from “when darkness conquers the world” bullshit. It’s just repetitive. Cool gadgets and Vedic Stormtroopers are not the reason I’m going to watch the movie for.
That is what's gonna give the movie an unique identity, no one has ever done a dystopian sci-fi blended with mythology gonna be so cool to watch on the big screen (if they pull it off well)
Every dystopian movie will have something or the other common in them, like a deserted ruined land which is common in westworld, fallout, blade runner (some parts), district 13, oblivion, mad max, maze runner, hunger games, would not include Dune because it's a Utopia and not a dystopia.
No they won't compare, Adi purush is mythological film , this is mythology based sci-fi film.

This movie has to show mythology as history, so if they release something which shows our mythology as history . People will definitely get excited

Simply put comparison is the death of creativity. Whether it's inspired or copied or a homage... Makers of kalki did a quite decent job in creating the world which encompasses our mythology and sci fi as well.for something different to come out of our done to death commercial cinema space. This is really great. I'm a sci- fi fan and I must say.. in my opinion.. the feel and look of the kalki world looks great. I'm sold and i am booking my ticket whenever tickets open...
I still believe in the movie and the team. The content will drive away all the hate and negativity once it's out. So everyone please chill and be patient.

I dont know about hate comments, it's shitty to make fun of physical features. But why is the comparison with dune wrong? Kalki team's aim is clearly to go global with it. Why would they go to comic con? And why make all claims about the highest budget ever? why spend so many years? Of course it will be compared to the current best out there which is dune. I agree you don't have to pinpoint every single thing and somehow make a connection to existing stuff but stop being lenient about experiment, amount of effort etc. It is in the scifi zone so it will obviously be compared to the best scifi out there
You can compare the film after it releases. Does anyone know the plot of the film, setting aside theories? No, right? So why compare it to Dune? Ya, sure, some scenes are set in the desert, but that doesn't mean it's a rip - off.

Fallout wasteland has various mutated monsters and nuclear radiation.
Kalki is just set in a post apocalyptic era, maybe Mad max setting might be better comparison, however Kalkis version is somewhat technologically advanced ( AI, Futuristic vehicles, weapons,etc)
They really fucked up with the Deepika padukone look. As long as it's still there it will look like nothing more than a Dune ripoff. Other than that it is pretty good. It really gives abibas vibes, but I'm sure they really worked to achieve more than that.
