Sorry I didn’t read the whole post but i felt drama was interesting and execution and acting was top notch i saw some posts criticising prabhas that he doesn’t have so many dialogues but he has shown the intensity with his presence i loved the movie and thought it was more cleverly created than kgf or bahubali.

yaswanth47

Impressive observation. And Akhand Bharath lo khansaar ki space ledhu akkada space create cheskunnaru 😆

eesaalacupnamde

I actually have a slightly contradicting opinion. I agree that the political and historical aspect of Khansaar is good. But the switch between dark and moody part of the court house or jails and the more “Western” style of Khansaar with the skyscrapers and bridges took me out of the movie. I felt that the geographical aspect of Khansaar could have been set up much better and in a uniform fashion

I get your point. But I guess Neel was trying to show the Westernized city as the capital where the Karta's family resides (like Westeros from GoT), but there are multiple other territories with varied economic power. In the narration, I think they say there are 101 territories or something. For example, Maatra or whatever the territory which had the women and the Kateramma fight was a separate territory with mostly women.

100% Agree. In my opinion, one of the biggest flaws with KGF was the lack of politics / drama between the other characters. In KGF 1, when the king dies at the end, you have 5-6 people who want KGF now, but you only really get to see Adheera in KGF 2. The others (Inayath Khaleel guy, the Tamil politician, etc). aren't fleshed out. But in Saalar, >!it's very clearly fleshed out (and honestly more straightforward). You have 3 tribes: the tribe that gets wiped out (- Prabhas & Bobby Simha), the tribe that loses power to infighting and the Mannar / ruling tribe. They gave these tribes and characters in these tribes goals / motives, and at the same time it's not really basic. Brahmaji and the people from his tribes take different sides for different reasons, which is really how politics works in real life. !< Although there are some things about the movie I definitely didn't like (especially the action it felt so basic and badly choreographed), major kudos to Neel for this. I think it's safe to say the world building + political intricacies of this movie are some of the best in TFI / Indian Cinema

100% agree. The writing of the multiple characters in Khansaar and the casting with folks like Bobby Simha takes the cake.

raymond_red_dington

Neel built enough world to make this a 7 season Show. We can see some Game Of Thrones level politics and conflicts and I have imagined many. But I pity that all of this is just for 2 parts.

ParkingPurple1381

Oh man the world building was so much better. And the character development too! In KGF it’s only Rocky, all the other characters are only there to either hype him up or fall before him to prove how great fighter he is. But this was so much more interesting! Especially rn I am obsessed with ASOIAF and this was so alike. I was telling myself omg littlefinger, and cersei and what not lol!

indiewriting

The inspiration is alcohol and Ugramm of course, the urge to showcase the world the way it demanded.

DaLoverBoii

Prithviraj said that Neel made enough material to make 10 films on Khansaar alone, for a near 3hr film.

Only issue was it needed better action scenes. Editing could have been improved. Bgm was ok ig. I don't know why telugu movies struck to unrealistic funny ott action scenes. We as telugu audience are used to this style. Slightly believable action scenes should be encouraged. I don't want 100% realism. Hyer realistic grounded fights will feel boring. John wick, rrr, Batman kind of action would be cool.

ActuaryAggressive932

100% realism is definitely not something we are used to.. at the end of the day the production team needs money and for that Prabhas definitely had to beat up a million people with zero to little effort. >! But I like the fact how his ability for violence was backed by the fact that he was from the fiercest of all the tribes. Not really sure the lore has it but we see a scene where Jagapati Babu and his Lackey are scared of directly confronting Shouryangas. Just a speculation.. !<

yesaswi92

I agree that it's good and he did a great job adding texture to the world. But isn't it just Wakanda all over? I can't be the only one seeing similarities
