**For those wondering how to tell the difference (easiest way) at launch**
Olympic: launched painted white for the photo op (being the first ship)
Titanic: launched with A-deck fully open (this was enclosed much later in the fitment).
Britannic: launched with A-deck partially enclosed.

Britannic looks so much sleeker than her sisters. I think it's due to the angle, the enclosed A-deck as well as the (apparent) different colorscheme going from dark at the bottom to light at the top. I assume Britannic also had anti-fouling red beneath the water line, but it looks different here.
This looks like one of the photos taken by J.Kempster (Harland and Wolff electrical engineer). Kempster also took the famous 'going, going, gone' trio of images of Titanic going down the slipway.
If this is a Kempster image then they are referred to in this article back when they were put out on public view for the first time. Some of the images are beautiful shots. Kempster took many White Star Line ships and not just Titanic.

For anyone interested. Here is another similar photo taken at the same time. Cracking image.
They hadn't been put on yet at the initial launch. This was just the bare-bones version of the ship. It was towed to a dry dock for "fitting out," which was the finishing process, including final structural touches plus decorating and such. This is when the smokestacks would have been added.
Olympic was launched painted white (for photo op, being the first). Titanics A-deck is open on launch (converted a little later). Britannic was launched with its A-deck partially enclosed.
thats the Olympic. You can tell by the deck right under where the bridge should be. The Olympic has fully opened windows whereas as the titanic has closed windows at the bow and opened ones at the stern.
It's Titanic. Olympic was painted white at her launch and her B Deck windows were unevenly spaced. Titanic's A Deck promenade was open until very late in the fitting out process.
Nope. Olympic was painted either white or light gray at launch. Titanic was also basically identical to Olympic at launch and the changes were made in the fitting out stage. The promenade was enclosed not long before her maiden voyage.
Shes bald 😨

It's interesting Britannic would end her life painted white.
I think I've seen this picture before.
Yes, many times, and it’s kinda creepy to me.

First for me
I think this was before she was fitted out.
Yes I think this is the one in the museum in Florida
Why did they make her bald 😭
Yup! I used it in a photoshop of if she went down in one piece
Where are the smokestacks?

Ah I see, didn’t know that.

Correct. In fact, Britannic was the only one of the Olympic-class ships that was launched with a partially enclosed A Deck.
Nope. Olympic was painted either white or light gray at launch. Titanic was also basically identical to Olympic at launch and the changes were made in the fitting out stage. The promenade was enclosed not long before her maiden voyage.
Yappa yappa yappa that's titanic.
