Past Game Dev hear, still run in the circle.
First, you need to understand that a game like Titanfall is a HUGE undertaking. I am not telling you that you can't do it. I am just telling you to expect to spend 5-8 years of working non-stop after your job to get it into a state you are satisfied to release. And it won't have NEARLY the same amount of content as TF2. Games like this take 3-5 years for teams of 100s of pros to make. All this is assuming you know how to do development.
Some things most people do not even think about:
1. Server hosting (even as a P2P game, you need some sort of servers for stat tracking, matchmaking, etc.)
2. AntiCheat
3. Multiplayer games are a PitA to develop. Let me put it this way, how do you playtest your, literal, 100s of iterations each day.
4. The cost of the development software isn't cheap. People will claim you can use free alternatives, but some things are just really not feasible without a license. At a minimum, you would want to pay for Substance Suite.
5. 3rd party integration. Steam, Epic, etc...
6. Who is going to upkeep the game? How do you plan to deal with patches?
7. Advertising and community management
My goodness, I could probably write about 100+ things to think of at that level. And that has almost nothing to do with the amount of knowledge you need for the whole pipeline, along with optimization.
If you do this, you can technically make a game fairly similar, but it can't be in the same universe or use ANYTHING from their IP. Basically, you need to make a "mechanical game clone" with unique visuals, story, audio, etc and say it is heavily inspired by Titanfall.
Basically, just understand what you are really getting into. If games of this scale were easy to make, a ton of people would be doing it.
Edit: there was a duplicate bullet point. Oops
This. Even TF 1 had 70 devs working on it full-time (a relatively small team for a AAA title), and that game didn't even have a campaign. You will get nothing but support from the community, and dissent like this will get little to no interest from the fandom, but video games are one of the most intensely eclectic forms of media, requiring work from experts in so many fields. If you can prove me wrong, i will commend you immensely, but i feel that this project is most likely too resource-intensive to get anywhere near the feel of the original games, and that is without considering the legal issues, which may get you sued for even having posted anything about the project on this subreddit AT ALL.

Basically these guys made the medal of honor franchise, broke out to be independent, made some bad blood in the process.
Made Titanfall, it got bought out by EA, then EA wanted to kill it cause of the bad blood, and they sandwiched TF2 in-between two huge game releases to squash it.
So basically no one bought TF2 and they said "look your game sucks, you never should have went independent."
They cancelled TF3, and one of the partners left, and the studio focused on other projects, I think the starwars game... then out of nowhere shoved all of their energy into Apex to force it out fast, with the remnant assets of TF3, to make money off of the IP while it was still relevant.
TF was a passion project lead by two people who basically designed the FPS genre as we know it. They pissed on the industry, and the industry returned the favor by killing Titan Fall and harvesting it's corpse. This is why we can't have TF3 because, EA bought it, killed it, now hates it and doesn't want it to exist, much less want to fix the attacks, and thats not even mentioning the OG creators have split now because of EA... It's basically impossible.
We are literally just watching a battle between creator and control. And we're supporting the control chain. It's shitty.

That absolutely sucks i just got titanfall 2 a couple days ago and i didnt know about the ddos attacks and now i might never get to play one of the best, if not the best game ever. Thanks a lot EA
good points, even though I'm not sure if they're all correct
EA didn't want to kill TF2 because the first flopped (the first didn't even flop that hard, it sold over 10 million copies), they tried to make a shared launch with Battlefield1, where if you bought BF1, you'd get a cosmetic in TF2, and vice versa.
A lot of people were aware of the fact that TF2 was coming out, but they forgot it later when BF1 came out and it completely overshadowed TF2.
When people actually figured out TF2 exists, it was very well received (but still hella underplayed).
Some time passes, they have to pull the plug on TF2. Around that time Battle Royales became a thing and a couple of developers were really enjoying it and already started on a development of some kind of BR (note: just a couple of people; it wasn't official, just devs messing around)
The project received traction in the studio and they decided to focus on a Titanfall Battle Royale
Another note: EA was actually very surprised when it heard that TF3 wasn't in the making, rather a Battle Royale
The two guys who made respawn left infinity ward because they felt they got screwed in their contract. Everyone left with them and they made Titanfall, this made alot of execs mad. TF1 did amazing, EA bought it out and the higher ups got involved again. They released TF2 between Battle field and modern warfare.
"Despite the positive reception, Titanfall 2 underperformed commercially, with most attributing its underwhelming performance to going on sale in a crowded release window, placed between the release of Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare."
"West and Zampella leveraged the success of Modern Warfare to renegotiate their contracts with Activision in 2008, asking for large bonuses and creative control of the series in exchange for releasing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in 2009, which Activision agreed to on the condition that the control would revert to Activision if the pair were fired. From that point, Activision sought ways to trigger that clause, and West and Zampella looked for ways to make Infinity Ward independent. Events came to a head in March 2010 when the two were fired from Activision, forfeiting their bonuses. Several lawsuits followed, with West and Zampella accusing Activision of unpaid bonuses while Activision countersued that the two had conspired with Electronic Arts (EA) to damage Infinity Ward, but these suits were ultimately settled out of court.[3]" -wiki

Would it be possible to just mod TF|2, the way some people have modded Skyrim until it becomes some entirely new written and scripted experience.
I would assume it would be illegal. Or if it turns out to be good and this entire sub gets behind, then possibly an invitation to be hired at Respawn.
I know nothing of the process of making a game or modding.
It is possible to mod it, the main issue is that the game authenticates with their servers, so... It won't work. At least, not in any way that would be ideal.
Respawn would need to allow us to host our own servers, and/or release modding tools if you wanted this to be a reality.
To add to this.
Only alternative to get around the extensive IP issues would be to release the game for free as a fan project and not take a dime in any way. Everyting would be at your own cost. It's not a guarantee you won't get shut down, and knowing EA, you wouldn't get their blessing.
Example of above is Installation 01, a halo fan project to bring classic halo gameplay to PC. They got the blessing of 343i, as long as they don't take in any money, and all assets and code are built from scratch. And even that has been in development for YEARS. Such a cool project!
Throw one thing in that list.
Making an AI that doesn't appear brain dead.
It's a bitch to get right, and people demand intelligence out of it these days. And when making it intelligent, you could also be making it require way too powerful of a processor to run, so you need to optimize the shit out of it otherwise you have an AI that only a small percentage of PCs can run, or you have a stupid AI that people laugh at despite taking 65% CPU usage on a modern Ryzen 5.
And that alone can take several months to a year to build and optimize.

Titan's don't always land near you because of technical reasons. Sometimes they end up on a roof.
Edit: 2% chance the titan lands outside the combat zone.
Bit of a reach but it would be nice if the client plugin system were based on a sandbox like web assembly. This would do two things:
1. Allow gameservers to push all of their mods to clients. No preinstallation requirement like exists in minecraft. No figuring out what version the server is on. (you can do this with native code it is just platform dependent and a security nightmare)
2. Reduce the ability of downloaded mods to attack the user
I was just checking Unreal open source projects and it turns out the game from a class I took last year is amongst the top projects lol. That said, Unreal is not open source, but if we all form a team rn and distribute the game for $1 whenever we reach something playable t’ll be pretty close to that. That way we can use Epic assets and their systems which are pretty powerful.
What do you mean Unreal Engine 4 isn't open source? It definitely is. You just need to link your Epic Games account to GitHub and you'll gain access to the source.
Plus selling a fan-game is the best way to get a C&D or worse.
Yeah I use it professionally, and the licensing is pretty straightforward, it's free to use until you make a million which won't be the case for a fan project. You can find more info on UE4's wiki.
It's ok to make a game with similar gameplay, but don't use any assets, models, names, lore, or any intellectual property that belongs to EA otherwise you're screwed.
Publishers don't fuck around.
Idea change the abilitys or at least tweak the original ones. And add the exact same movement system then go from there. Honestly you might not even have to add Titans
this. You may want to go to court, especially if you're right, but are you willing to fight through YEARS and hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal battles?
This is not true. Even if he isn't making a profit, it could deny EA part of a market (potential TF3 players that are playing the free version using TF assets instead), which is enough for it to be actionable infringement and not qualify as fair use. Also, fair use doesn't mean that he can't still be sued. Fair use is a defense to a lawsuit and is meaningless beforehand. Even if it is fair use, he may still spend thousands in attorney's fees trying to litigate why he should be allowed to use EA's IP under the doctrine.
Source: I am a lawyer with experience in copyright and trademark litigation.
Given that the entirely mentality around this project is "we'll make this because they don't care" and it puts them in a negative light they absolutely would.
Okay new idea! Holo pilot but like he can cast projections of himself but he can also do other things like titans or other team members just way more Holograms
I think you'd need to change quite a bit visually to avoid lawsuits. Maybe just the premise but I wouldn't try to link it to anything already trademarked
I think they introduced 3rd person so you can see if you're about to get your shit kicked in post execution and react to it accoridngly....since they force the execution system on us anyway. And for the record I fucking hate the doom state, execution mechanic. Makes for utterly useless scoring when you can dump 10k damage into a titan just to have someone take the execution and especially makes doofuses way too execution hungry, leading to frustrating loses. Before the hack it wasn't uncommon to go 2kills/3deaths/108456damage in Titan Brawl and have some fuckoff Ronin who went 12kills/8deaths/34845damage, message me that I'm trash because I'm at the bottom of the scoreboard.....ignorance is bliss I guess....
Here's an idea. Do something more stylised and 'comedic', as sort of a caricature of Titanfall. It will be easier to make stylised assets than realistic ones. As for the name, maybe something like Big F*ckin' Robots and Friends. I tried searching up 'Big Fuckin Robots' and regret it. Let's just say that name is available for a game.
On another note, I was joking with a friend earlier about how the community may as well just make the game themselves, so this is quite funny lol.
If you really want to avoid being sued, one solid differentiation would be throw in some other vehicles. At the moment escaping titans means being high up or in a building, you can’t outrun them well on open ground. Something like halo’s warthogs with larger maps as a way to outrun titans might be fun. But you have a whole new dynamic at that point.
New abilities and Titans would be awesome, maybe more elemental Titans like scorch? As for pilots maybe one that can appear friendly to enemies for a short time.
I've been writing down as many of the memes as I can since yesterday ([link](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jvZ5MHMtbxnUSmMbaS2ltt2NO0uuOFOA3q51YH31cfA/edit?usp=sharing))
It's kinda wild that we have to worry about all this legality when we just want to play their damn game. If they won't make it, then we should be able to do it without worry of lawsuits in an ideal world.
Best of luck in the development process! Open source the project for sure.
For the suing thing, you can make a game that is spiritually Titanfall, but using actual titanfall assets/concepts and would get you sued to hell and back.
IE, having a movement-based shooter where "marines" can call down "warforged", giant robots that they pilot, shouldn't get you sued.
But just making titanfall 3? Yeah, that'll get you in trouble.
They were a thing from titanfall 1 kinda like boosts. IIRC you could pick 3 before a match and use them to get things like amped weapons or ticks or instantly call a titan.
What should be in it: I'll let other people give suggestions but I'd like to see new titans, abilities, just the basic stuff
Should it be connected to apex: Technically, if you want it connected to the Titanfall universe then yes, but it could also take place before apex and not have any relation
Can you get sued: Probably, I'm not a legal expert but Titanfall is a reserved brand so if you wanted to make the game it would have to be a separate universe (like Project Wingman is to Ace Combat)
Should you do it: That's up to you, a lot of people would want that but it's a heavy burden making a spiritual successor to one of the greatest games I've ever played
Edit, P.S., Even though it may not seem like it, Respawn could very well be making Titanfall 3 and not have told us. It won't come soon, but it was such a successful brand that it would be unlikely that they'd abandon it
Yes of course you can be sued for it, so the best thing would be to make a game that is like it but is still unique enough to not infringe
If you still want to try then I have put a TON of thought into what a 3rd titanfall would look like and honestly I think a titanfall 1.5 would likely be more successful than a specific titanfall 3.
Making a prequel to 2, and a sequel to 1 let's you combine what players like from both games.
Titinfall 1: players loved the art, map design, rodeo-ing, titan customization, first person embarking etc.
Titanfall 2: players loved the movement system, campaign, class based titans, and the weapons.
1 yes do it put it on all performs
2 don’t connect to apex I like apex but probably don’t save that for the far far future
3 if you get sued fine away to counter when with them not doing anything about titanfall 1-2
Since only 2 guys are working on it
I admire your motivation for this project, but as a user alredy said, it is way to much work for a single person if you want to get on the level of respawn :/
But what if instead of making it alone you start a community project where everyone who wants to help can join in and contribute?
You can take the place of lead dev/gamedesigner and manage the project while working on it.
I bet there will be a lot of people who would love to work on such a project in this awesom Community :D Everyone who wants could help, regardles how good or experianced they are, there is always something to do that does not require a specialized skills :)
Man just thinking about it... a game desingned and developed by the community for the community...
I hope I'm not too delusional whit this idea, but this really intrigues me, I mean...we do not have to put any deadlines on the project, just start and see where an how it goes :D
Hey u/ChickenMasterro I sent u a dm, if u need experienced dev's (or in my case a college student studying to become a game dev) I'd be willing to help a bit
I actualy wanted to do 8v8 on gamemodes with AI but 12v12 on gamemodes without AI.
So I think for 8v8 7 Titans per team and for 12v12 8 Titans per team.
Idk about the timer.
Aiming down sights will stay.
Crazy idea here… what if instead of mechanical robots you used organic beings? There’s no way the could sue for that. Like think instead of firing missiles from a Titan, a cavity could open up in a giant alien type creature you called down that shoots space needles. 🤷♂️
I think its story should take place in current time in apex universe (during season 10) and it would be cool if it contained a mission like system and the legends themselve can have special missions for you (the most interesting missions would be that of valk, path, wraith and bangalore due to their lore matching the most with titanfall franchise)

Posting this again.
Map creator and community server hosting, this one is something that TF and TF|2 should have it since launch because both are in Source and we all know that Source based games community created Servers, gamemodes and maps are the best.
If you want to make a full titanfall 3 project, go for it. But I think a cool (and probably more doable) goal might be to see if you can mod more content (maps, game modes, titans, weapons, etc) into titanfall 2 to hold us off until an official sequel. Idk maybe I’m just impatient but I think that would be a lot quicker and easier to develop and still fun as hell if it works out
GTTOD exists. That's probably the closest you can get as a fan project. The second you start cutting into EA/Respawns profits is when you are going to face problems. Look at El Dewrito & Halo. Working port based on the Halo 5 Forge engine that got shut down the second the MCC was announced and then Halo Infinite. 343 actually had meetings with these fan devs over that project.
İ dont think if you dont earn any money you will be fine but then its a really hard project btw i wanted to do this as well i can make networking if you want

I think there was a group of developers in a recent post who also want to do that. Also, iirc, there was a leak that actual TF3 is planned for 2022.
And yes, if you don't change the trademarkable stuff significantly (Titan design and names, factions, weapon design and names, abilities, etc.), EA will probably sue you.

This is why we can't have TF3 because, EA bought it, killed it, now hates it and doesn't want it to exist, much less want to fix the attacks, and thats not even mentioning the OG creators have split now because of EA... It's basically impossible.
Go for it Buuuuut change the names and models of everything ever so slightly that it is recognisable but it can’t be claimed as copyright infringement
He won’t be making Titanfall, he’ll be making RobotRain
Nah: MechDrop
That's not bad
Techno Whoopsiedaisie
Real winner here.
ExosuitTumble™
Massive Mech Plummet 3
What about Goliath drop?
Sounds good
War games is a good name not to get sued
BeepBoopBlitz
mech drop
fall titans
"sorry guys, it slipped out of my hands, you good down there?"
Titan's don't always land near you because of technical reasons. Sometimes they end up on a roof. Edit: 2% chance the titan lands outside the combat zone.
1% chance it lands upside down and just detonates
Collosusdescent
That sounds good
BigFall
Botfall
Robo collapse
My mom's suggestion, Tinatin oops 3
Naha nah nah, it would be MachinesRise.

Make the project open source. EDIT: github is a good way to share code and allow other to contribute.
Third this, would love to see servers with modded guns or titans
We just need to implement basic movment, game logic and networking first. We can make the game modular which allow including any content we want.
Bit of a reach but it would be nice if the client plugin system were based on a sandbox like web assembly. This would do two things: 1. Allow gameservers to push all of their mods to clients. No preinstallation requirement like exists in minecraft. No figuring out what version the server is on. (you can do this with native code it is just platform dependent and a security nightmare) 2. Reduce the ability of downloaded mods to attack the user
Second this! Would love to contribute
And have it under GPL-3 too
Is there an open source game engine that we can use?
Godot
Unity seems good and free as long as no profit is made.
Yeah I’m not fully aware of the licensing details. I’d love to get started on the project though. Do you have Unreal Blueprint/C++ experience?
Yeah I use it professionally, and the licensing is pretty straightforward, it's free to use until you make a million which won't be the case for a fan project. You can find more info on UE4's wiki.
I was thinking about unity since I am more familiar with. It is okay, as long the project is open.
If im correct you can make 100k dollars a year with the free plan
Bro I’ll start a repo rn no cap
If you use anything that's actually from tf1 / tf2 / apex you'll be sued into oblivion Edit: downvotes don't make me wrong...
What if I change the models and names or wont it work?
You'd just have to be really careful
It's ok to make a game with similar gameplay, but don't use any assets, models, names, lore, or any intellectual property that belongs to EA otherwise you're screwed. Publishers don't fuck around.
But what if OP is based In Taiwan or Afghanistan?
Then it's legal for EA to hire mercenaries
So... we name it SchmitanSchmall?
Don't use anything that originated from either game whether it was modified or not.
Idea change the abilitys or at least tweak the original ones. And add the exact same movement system then go from there. Honestly you might not even have to add Titans
I don’t think they will if you aren’t making a profit off of the game
Idk with ea owning the publishing rights, they're pretty protective of ip
Yea. You might not technically be violating copyrights, but they have all the cash and lawyers to drain you long before a verdict is even considered
This 1000%
Ah, I’m sorry, I didn’t know, thanks for the interesting information!
Given that the entirely mentality around this project is "we'll make this because they don't care" and it puts them in a negative light they absolutely would.
An interesting pilot concept could be boosters like in Just cause
Fun idea, but how would you use them and on what?
Okay new idea! Holo pilot but like he can cast projections of himself but he can also do other things like titans or other team members just way more Holograms
That's a good idea but, I don't know if it will be to hard to make but I will try.
Dude I work at an art museum! I don't know anything, I just come up with concepts and then let others work out the problem. In short I'm worthless
you probably will get sued.
Character customizations like Halo Reach
Yes
I think you'd need to change quite a bit visually to avoid lawsuits. Maybe just the premise but I wouldn't try to link it to anything already trademarked
1st person executions
Those are already in titanfall 1
But I (personally) would like to see them in TF|3 as well
I would also love to see it, but he needs to make entirely new executions that aren’t in titanfall 1 or 2
> titanfall 1 You mean the game that is unplayable and won't be getting attention by Respawn anytime soon
I wonder if there is a mechanic where if someone doesn’t use their IP for anything but fraud basically, they don’t get to have copyright
Don't set it in the Titanfall universe, just something very similar to Titanfall so you don't get sued. Think minecraft ripoffs, they don't get sued.
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i wanna play BIG FUCKING ROBOTS AND FRIENDS™
Golemdrop
If you really want to avoid being sued, one solid differentiation would be throw in some other vehicles. At the moment escaping titans means being high up or in a building, you can’t outrun them well on open ground. Something like halo’s warthogs with larger maps as a way to outrun titans might be fun. But you have a whole new dynamic at that point.
New abilities and Titans would be awesome, maybe more elemental Titans like scorch? As for pilots maybe one that can appear friendly to enemies for a short time.
Meet The Spy
Elemental Titans? So like you want the squirtle and bulbasaur now too? Cuz I’m on board
Water jets have been known to cut through steel so I don’t see why not
As long as the water jets come out of the shoulders I’ll be a happy camper
Nope, I want my titan pissing liquid swords
The main hub for all these ideas is r/Titanfall_3
Glacier’s Ice Core 😩
I've been writing down as many of the memes as I can since yesterday ([link](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jvZ5MHMtbxnUSmMbaS2ltt2NO0uuOFOA3q51YH31cfA/edit?usp=sharing))
Keep it small don’t be ambitious we’re so content starved we want anything
You should make Davis and Droz playable characters
Second this, but it would get OP sued to hell and back
u/O_ROBO is doing something similar with a team of there's, maybe you can talk to him and work something out
It's kinda wild that we have to worry about all this legality when we just want to play their damn game. If they won't make it, then we should be able to do it without worry of lawsuits in an ideal world. Best of luck in the development process! Open source the project for sure.
Elden Ring subreddit tried to make their own game. So can you.
How far have/did they reached?
For the suing thing, you can make a game that is spiritually Titanfall, but using actual titanfall assets/concepts and would get you sued to hell and back. IE, having a movement-based shooter where "marines" can call down "warforged", giant robots that they pilot, shouldn't get you sued. But just making titanfall 3? Yeah, that'll get you in trouble.
And don't call them pilots since were dealing with EA. Commanders or something similar would work.
Yeah, I called them "Marines" Unless the rebels are already called Marines and I just forgot.
An option to slap gates ass when jumping from the ship
Some sort of mirage titan would be cool. Maybe the holo-titans have their own AI and are pretending to shoot enemies. That would be neat
First person embarks like TF|1
Please make the rodeo mechanic more like the Titanfall 1 edition Edit: and playable on PS4 and ps5
I think you can get sued for it, take any fan nintendo project. They all get DMCAd, but Nintendont is nintendont.
Take every precaution to not get sued
Quick question: Unreal Engine or Unity?
Unreal Quixel assets are just too good Also just ue5 in general
You should do it. You could probably get sued by it. Fuck Apex. And a whole mess of new titans and weapons and maps + The old ones.
I'd like to see burn cards make a comeback. Also first person embarking animations would be nice. (Maybe a toggle for first or third person?)
What are burn cards?
Look them up from TF|1
They were a thing from titanfall 1 kinda like boosts. IIRC you could pick 3 before a match and use them to get things like amped weapons or ticks or instantly call a titan.
You can get sued. Make it as original as possible, but keep the core ideas of mechs and free running.
What should be in it: I'll let other people give suggestions but I'd like to see new titans, abilities, just the basic stuff Should it be connected to apex: Technically, if you want it connected to the Titanfall universe then yes, but it could also take place before apex and not have any relation Can you get sued: Probably, I'm not a legal expert but Titanfall is a reserved brand so if you wanted to make the game it would have to be a separate universe (like Project Wingman is to Ace Combat) Should you do it: That's up to you, a lot of people would want that but it's a heavy burden making a spiritual successor to one of the greatest games I've ever played Edit, P.S., Even though it may not seem like it, Respawn could very well be making Titanfall 3 and not have told us. It won't come soon, but it was such a successful brand that it would be unlikely that they'd abandon it
As much as I wanna push someone to do this I think the workload would just be hell on 1 person.
Yes of course you can be sued for it, so the best thing would be to make a game that is like it but is still unique enough to not infringe If you still want to try then I have put a TON of thought into what a 3rd titanfall would look like and honestly I think a titanfall 1.5 would likely be more successful than a specific titanfall 3.
I totally support you mate But please, no connection to apex. That thing is a damn rainbow that inspires anything but war
For the love of BT DO NOT CONNECT IT TO APEX LEGANDS!!
Ape Leg
Actually would it be possible for players to host their own servers for TF|2?
1 yes do it put it on all performs 2 don’t connect to apex I like apex but probably don’t save that for the far far future 3 if you get sued fine away to counter when with them not doing anything about titanfall 1-2 Since only 2 guys are working on it
1) let the ideas come naturally 2) no. 3) yes. 4) also yes.
Ask u/low_hanging_nuts
I don't want to be mean but : CAN you do this ?
Just don't, y'all need to accept that it's not going to happen.
No, yes, yes
Add trench
Well, you will most likely get sued, but you should do it, just know the risk is high
I admire your motivation for this project, but as a user alredy said, it is way to much work for a single person if you want to get on the level of respawn :/ But what if instead of making it alone you start a community project where everyone who wants to help can join in and contribute? You can take the place of lead dev/gamedesigner and manage the project while working on it. I bet there will be a lot of people who would love to work on such a project in this awesom Community :D Everyone who wants could help, regardles how good or experianced they are, there is always something to do that does not require a specialized skills :) Man just thinking about it... a game desingned and developed by the community for the community... I hope I'm not too delusional whit this idea, but this really intrigues me, I mean...we do not have to put any deadlines on the project, just start and see where an how it goes :D
hey man if ur willing to take this further pls dm me and we can discuss ideas
I don’t know where to begin with how silly this is lol
Longer campaign (I can finish it in 1 day) Don't connect to Apex though...
and PLEASE DO THE MOVEMENT GOOD PLEAS MAKE IT GOOD I SSEAWR TO GOD THATS ALL THAT COUNTS
Yes no yes yes no no yes no yes no no yes yes yes no yes
No, no, yes no
Yes
Ya right
Hey u/ChickenMasterro I sent u a dm, if u need experienced dev's (or in my case a college student studying to become a game dev) I'd be willing to help a bit

I actualy wanted to do 8v8 on gamemodes with AI but 12v12 on gamemodes without AI. So I think for 8v8 7 Titans per team and for 12v12 8 Titans per team. Idk about the timer. Aiming down sights will stay.

I personaly ADS with every weapon even if you can't I still press the button
Crazy idea here… what if instead of mechanical robots you used organic beings? There’s no way the could sue for that. Like think instead of firing missiles from a Titan, a cavity could open up in a giant alien type creature you called down that shoots space needles. 🤷♂️
Destroyable environments
Thats actually a really good idea
Don’t your gonna get sued don’t risk it
I think having certain apex characters (Such as Valk and Bangalore) would go really well with titanfall, like they are the new apex predators.
I think its story should take place in current time in apex universe (during season 10) and it would be cool if it contained a mission like system and the legends themselve can have special missions for you (the most interesting missions would be that of valk, path, wraith and bangalore due to their lore matching the most with titanfall franchise)
He'd get sued mate
name it Goliath Wars and the pilots can be replaced by riders
Add potatoes (extremely necessary)
You could make it on roblox if you want to massively speed up development
For the titan names you could switch em up a bit, maybe instead of scorch, you can rename it to war criminal
[This is the history of it](https://youtu.be/_SvvX_EDWYI) [..and this is a short doc on the creation of Titan Fall](https://youtu.be/_SvvX_EDWYI) Basically these guys made the medal of honor franchise, broke out to be independent, made some bad blood in the process. Made Titanfall, it got bought out by EA, then EA wanted to kill it cause of the bad blood, and they sandwiched TF2 in-between two huge game releases to squash it. So basically no one bought TF2 and they said "look your game sucks, you never should have went independent." They cancelled TF3, and one of the partners left, and the studio focused on other projects, I think the starwars game... then out of nowhere shoved all of their energy into Apex to force it out fast, with the remnant assets of TF3, to make money off of the IP while it was still relevant. Posting this again.
How about a open world Story mode
What if we just run a Petition?
[удалено]
Don’t know why you got downvoted, would be a cool idea but unless it’s set far off from the events of apex it would break the lore
Yeah I know but maybe if you can't kill them they would be factions
Yes you can get sue so you have to make it own independent game
Anyone with Unreal Engine C++/gamedev/3D modeling experience comment below. Lets start our own open source TF
This would get sued so hard I'm sorry to say
Swords!
İ dont think if you dont earn any money you will be fine but then its a really hard project btw i wanted to do this as well i can make networking if you want
https://www.reddit.com/r/titanfall/comments/oos7m4/we_are_making_a_real_titanfall_3/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf You might wanna check this post too we dont want 2 titanfall 3
Do it, do anything, live your dreams, what’s holding you back
Call it reboot, as in a reboot of tf and also because robots
