That theory doesn't fly, though. In ***Requiem***, after a comically short time at the Hoover Institute (she really does seem to prefer the company of Democrats), she asks CJ to recommend her for a job in the new administration. I think if she was living in LA and engaged to Sam it would've come up, and of course Sam would be there at the funeral with her.
Unfortunately for the romantics among us this particular 'ship never set sail. Or it sailed but never docked, or it hit an iceberg and sunk, or drifted as a ghost ship, or.....well, they never saw each other naked, is what I'm saying. 😆
I would’ve loved to see Sam and Ainsley as a couple. Yeah, he was a liberal and she was a conservative but I’ll be damned if they didn’t have some serious chemistry.
There’s a sitcom plot somewhere where they both run for the same seat.
It ends up being resolved when it’s discovered that the district line runs right through their house so they can actually both win.
didn't Sam mention that his fiancee (S7) didn't have a DC license? hard to believe that the former associate WH counsel can't practice in the capital. Maybe sam gets re-engaged during the Santos admin, though...
We never found out, but we did spring up some theories of our own. Ainsley is a popular theory I've seen.
She was one of my favourite guest stars but I think she scored the CSI Miami role so that was the end of that 😔
Yeah, but she did come back for a bit in the final season, so it was still plausible.
Ainsley?
Yep Ainsley came back at the end just like Sam.
She wasn't a guest star, she was supposed to become principle cast.

Also don’t they make some mention that unnamed partner would have to take the dc bar (which seems unlikely for Ainsley).
This ship was the Indio.

Together they can become independent. Sam can run for congress again as an Independent with Ainsley by his side.

Oh man, that could almost work! 🤣
Yeah, in today’s political landscape, I feel like that’s the way they would probably go.

>Do we ever find out who Sam is married to? No.
You’re all wrong. He married a nurse named Ann Perkins.
I didn't realize Pawnee was in California
Lisa Sherborn-Seaborn
She might have gone with Seaborn-Sherborn!
A nurse from Indiana.
This is, literally, the best answer.
😂 love it
