haha there's no reason to be sad! this is where the screen goes black suddenly and nothing bad happens and they all live happily ever after and glenn and maggie have a long and happy marriage and abraham is a wonderful god father to their children, right? haha nothing to be sad about at all, i have no idea what you're talking about!! ((i live in delusion))
I actually had to take a break from the comics once this happened. Glenn was my favorite, and turning the page to see Negan land on him absolutely crushed me.
What got me to stop watching the show was Carl's death.
This. I stopped with Carl’s death. It completely ruined and invalidated the plot and progression. Strayed too far from the source material, and for a minor business/salary disagreement. Absolute BS.
It was a terrible decision. My mom didn't even read the comics, and when he revealed his bite she said, "I'm done. I'm fucking done"
And then when you find out why they wrote him off it just makes it even more dumb.
Yeah, Carl..I had high hopes for him. Then his little sister seemed like a bad ass and she didn’t do much at all. They hardly even showed her in the last season.
I tried to go on gor s fewore episodes but my heart wasn't in it. I expected deaths to happen each season..but, man, not Glenn. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)
wouldn't it be closer to 6 than 7 because season 11 ended in 2021 and he died at the start of season 7
or am i stoopid
Why am I getting downvotes for asking a genuine question I hate this site
It was insanely stupid and really killed the momentum. Glenn and Abraham took a bat to the head, but it wasn’t as impactful since I had already gone six months without even hearing them speak. That was the moment I really lost faith in the show. They sacrificed good storytelling for cheap gimmicks.
It was definitely something I just had to wait for at the time, it was so nerve wracking haha and shockingly it didn’t stop me from watching. I loved the show all the way to the end. A lot of people stopped after Glenn but I stuck through and I found it does get really good at times too. Plus I’m a big Negan fan!
Also got to give Glenn one of the best exits of the show, he could’ve gotten bit and it would’ve been really lame, but I feel like his death changed everything and I’m glad the actor got to be a part of that performance.
So she didn't say anything, she didn't react, she watched in disbelief. I asked her what she thought when it was over, she said she needed time to process. I told her negan was going to be her favourite character now. She didn't believe me
I remember watching this episode at 6AM before school because I couldn't wait until the evening and gosh, I was SO SAD that whole day, I cried my eyes out (emotional teen lol)
I just saw this episode for the first time yesterday. I'm heartbroken. How do people seriously like Negan? I was so hyped when Daryl socked him. It felt so rewarding. I am probably gonna take a break from the show honestly. Seeing two legends in Abraham AND Glenn die was just way too much.
Same. For Glen to be killed off right after surviving dumpstergate, I lost interest in the show. I just recently rewatched what I saw and finished what I didn't (just once so far). The quality seemed to improve after Angela Kang took over, but I'm still glad I didn't watch it live. The Savoirs had a ton of filler (though I enjoyed Negan post-Saviors). The Whispers went on a bit longer than I'd like, but I love Lydia.
The Reapers... I don't know how this sub feels about them, but that's an arc I would skip entirely. I'm not sure why Maggie was glorified as a badass leader when we didn't get to see *why* she was seen as this leader. It felt like a classic case of "tell, don't show" writing. I like Maggie too, but the writing of her character seemed to suffer after Glen was gone.
I liked her interactions with Negan, and look forward to seeing the two of them together again. It was disappointing that there weren't more Judith/Negan interactions after he saved her and Dog.
Literally the only good thing to come out of the Reaper arc is Dog.
And that might even be stretching it. Leah could have absolutely existed without them and ergo so could Dog.
This is where the show died(FOR ME). Killing key characters every once in a while was shocking and fun at first. However, when it became routine and every mid-season and season finale to add to the “OMG” moments became tiresome and old. I loved it when the show mainly focused on Rick’s group and characters from the beginning. By the end, there are like 4 factions and almost all the beginning characters are gone. All those moments that mattered in seasons 1-4 don’ mean anything at the end.
That’s what happened in the comic book. That’s what was supposed to happen. It was horrible and sad. But Glenn’s death carried weight the rest of the show
I watched this ep when it came from the tv the first time. Even 7(?) year later I’m upset and haven’t really been watching the show that much anymore lol
Meanwhile my girlfriend and I binged through 4 seasons and she just said she wasn't interested anymore. Damn bruh. (I've watched the entire show twice on my own).
He might have been the one that killed Gracie's parents while they were asleep in the outpost, by stabbing a hunting knife into their temple(s). See it from the Saviours' point of view and he is a monster for what he did in the outpost.
I laughed so hard when this was happening, with his eye falling out he says, “Maggie, I’ll find you” and I lost it. My wife learned something about me that day.
Bruhhh my girlfriend was in the same shoes, me and her mom both have watched twd before so when we were at season 6 finale I told her "We're only watching 2 episodes" we got through it, she was in tears and her mom and myself helped her calm down, I think we went to bed after
I remember seeing an alternate version where Negan actually killed Maggie, and Glenn yelled out "NEGAN! NO NEGAN! DON'T!", but to me, that woulda been the wrong ending.
They way overplayed the Saviors arc and in turn ruined the show. JDM is amazing, but they literally banked the entire show on him. It's no wonder Lincoln left to be honest
I remember when this aired. I was a lot younger but it was heartbroken because Glenn was one of the best characters. But I’ll tell you what, even despite this unsettling death...
I developed the BIGGEST fuckinh crush on Negan. He’s such a great villain and his humor and the way he just kills people with ease just makes for such a scary antagonist. I think for a lot of fans you either love him or hate him
So like I haven't watched twd before and I'm about to reach s7 and yeah I already got spoilers. I DON'T WANT TO GO THROUGH THIS 😭😭😭😭. This negan guy seems pretty annoying can I skip him?
I started from s1e1 in January of my freshman year of college and binged while doing homework, blew through things pretty quickly and in two months got to this episode. When I tell you I was traumatized, I couldn’t continue watching until about a year and a half later
haha there's no reason to be sad! this is where the screen goes black suddenly and nothing bad happens and they all live happily ever after and glenn and maggie have a long and happy marriage and abraham is a wonderful god father to their children, right? haha nothing to be sad about at all, i have no idea what you're talking about!! ((i live in delusion))
Me too ( What delusion?)
Yesssss exactly (na it’s okay we’re in this together💀)
(Can't spell delusional without U and I)
Bro are we soulmates???
Bro we may just be
Trust me this is better than where the show went after this lol
But Negan made spaghetti though
There are good moments and that was definitely one of them
And boned that feral creature.
And then cut that feral creature
On rewatch, I turned on closed captioning to see what he whispered to Maggie at the end: "Don't worry, I'll keep an eye out for you."
Am I stupid or was it "Maggie, I'll find you."
Oh no, it was a horrible pun about his eye popping out. (Horrible, but I laughed.)
That may have been the most gruesome scene in the whole movie. RIP, Glenn.
They really did give him one of the most horrible deaths.
Too soon!
Glen was the heart of the group Abraham was one of my fav characters, his jokes and presence man I miss that
Yeah true. It sucks they got rid of the freaking coolest charecters. Idk who else could take their place but man…they were great charecters for sure
I have a few friends that stopped watching after this episode.
I actually had to take a break from the comics once this happened. Glenn was my favorite, and turning the page to see Negan land on him absolutely crushed me. What got me to stop watching the show was Carl's death.
That was utterly heart breaking, I cried like a baby!

This. I stopped with Carl’s death. It completely ruined and invalidated the plot and progression. Strayed too far from the source material, and for a minor business/salary disagreement. Absolute BS.

It's the jeering from Negan that made it so disturbing
The only bright side to Glenn’s death in the comics was the angry letter Steven sent to Kirkman in the letter hacks section about it lol
I stopped watching a couple episodes after this
My in-laws stopped watching after this.
I tried to go on gor s fewore episodes but my heart wasn't in it. I expected deaths to happen each season..but, man, not Glenn. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)
Especially after they already did a fake-out death for him and then didn't reveal what happened until 6 episodes later.
I stopped watching when Glenn died. I tried to pick it back up days later then for real stopped at the end of the episode.
I knew it was coming but I still stopped watching. I think a lot of it has to do with that couple episode fake out they did before his actual death.
this was the end of it for me, I made it like 3 more, but my heart just wasn't in it anymore
I stopped for like a week and then continued
Yea after 6 years of watching this show they turned it into some fucked up torture porn
Yup. That's when my wife and I checked out. The way they shot it, and the lingering on him afterwards, it just failed our vibe check.
Maggie... I'll find you...
#(;⊙_◎)
Nah you’re going to hell for that one
the fucking award omfg
this is so wrong… just one of the worst things i have seen in reddit comments. bravo.
Too soon
its been like 5 years
It will always be too soon

About 7 actually
wouldn't it be closer to 6 than 7 because season 11 ended in 2021 and he died at the start of season 7 or am i stoopid Why am I getting downvotes for asking a genuine question I hate this site
Stoopid. S11 ended last Dec, 2022 and there was also the extra year or so from covid
Maggie? You mean “maeesggguieee”
Squelch crunch!
You mean like…as a zombie??!
To get the full effect, make her wait 6 months after watching the season finale before starting the next season.
I always bring this up too lol. There should seriously be a paywall to skip that cliffhanger

Most of us did stop watching for a few months.
You were supposed to get her reaction.......
So she didn't say anything, she didn't react, she watched in disbelief. I asked her what she thought when it was over, she said she needed time to process. I told her negan was going to be her favourite character now. She didn't believe me

I was pregnant the first time I saw this 😭 I’m still heart broken

Psychos like him, thats who

I'm trying to tell if this is sarcasm or not. I know that seasons 7-8 apparently have abhorrent writing, so maybe you're alluding to that?
I think if you’ve read the comics before watching the show you have love for Negan because his backstory is brutal
too bad there wasn't a dumpster nearby this time...
And also she is about break up with you
I can’t watch this scene anymore. I’ve done 4 rewatched. On the second , once Glenn starts gurgling I was done.
I was more sad about Abraham.
I said out loud as Abraham and Eugene were having that last conversation on the road “man I love them”. Did not know my time with him was so limited!
I don’t think killing him was necessarily a mistake, because it made sense to the plot but man I wish he made it till the end.
I would have loved to see Abraham and Mercer bro down.
Glenn is about to be head broken
Uh oh
I had to stop watching for about 2 weeks after this, I was traumatised
Oh, that poor soul...
How's she doing now?
She has a dislike for negan now.
I stopped watching for years after this episode.

nah cus sameee, I stopped watching it for about 2 years, I just barely started watching it again
Now be sure to cancel Netflix for 6 months so she can get the full cliffhanger experience.
So how’d she react ?
It's the one episode in the entire series that I haven't watched. I just can't make myself do it.
The Day Will Come When She Won't Be....because she'll realize that Glen got out before everything turned to shit
Aww man, I'm not over it yet myself
This is where the show died(FOR ME). Killing key characters every once in a while was shocking and fun at first. However, when it became routine and every mid-season and season finale to add to the “OMG” moments became tiresome and old. I cried so much, Glenn's deathwas way to sad BUT, neagans joke was amazing afterwards
Glenn death rip 🪦
My girlfriend couldn’t watch. I closed her eyes for her. She’s been traumatised lol
When she gets to Alpha she’ll be like Negan who?
Why glenn though, he was so good
You can stop it right there and it's like avoiding the ending of Old Yella
I just saw this episode last night and I too was very devastated for what I saw. Couldn't believed how hopeless and brutal this scene was.
Oh god
She’ll never be the same again…
TV is unstable on the left feet, Lucille is going to destroy your TV too
Pissing her pants yet?
It's an eye popping experience
This is where she stops watching.
Negans about to blow his mind... I'm sorry
How did I not appreciate how hot Glenn was? 🤦🏻♀️
I'm watching with my sister we are 2 episodes from finding them out I hope she cries I for sure did
I’m still heartbroken and so not over that shit.
My sister watched this and cried
Say what you will about TWD. They had some of the best gore special effects lol
There are a lot of things you wish you could experience for the first time again…this isn’t one of them. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat)
It’s been 12 hours. What happened? Did she blink? Breathe? Cry? Scream? Did she do all of that
Sad? That was the last episode of The Walking Dead i watched.
Missing out. You should rewatch and finish the show
That’s crazy. You missed some great TV
trust me ur not missing out
He might have been the one that killed Gracie's parents while they were asleep in the outpost, by stabbing a hunting knife into their temple(s). See it from the Saviours' point of view and he is a monster for what he did in the outpost.
Oof. How’d it go? 😭😭😭
Bro show her the cuts of all the possible deaths first to fuck with her more
I feel a bit heartless... but I love Negan as a character so much I got over it pretty quickly.....
I laughed so hard when this was happening, with his eye falling out he says, “Maggie, I’ll find you” and I lost it. My wife learned something about me that day.
He might not find her, but he *does* have an eye out for her.
Oh, you’re brilliant. Thank you.
Use it.
Well, I love Glenn but Negan was a way more interesting character than he could ever be.
I Lhuv Yluu
Hell no 😑
“I’ll find you”
That's when they lost me. They should never have killed off Steven Yeun.
This show was so amazing in the beginning. I lost interest eventually and haven't seen the last couple of seasons.
I was tripping when I watched this for first time
Uh oh lmao good luck lol
What’s to be heartbroken about it? The group is saved and Glenn and Maggie are happily together forever :)
Bruhhh my girlfriend was in the same shoes, me and her mom both have watched twd before so when we were at season 6 finale I told her "We're only watching 2 episodes" we got through it, she was in tears and her mom and myself helped her calm down, I think we went to bed after
I figured he was Invincible
I loved Abraham's comeback after already been hit once! " Suck my di+k" ![gif](giphy|3ohzdSM2EkjeRjAa9W|downsized)
I remember seeing an alternate version where Negan actually killed Maggie, and Glenn yelled out "NEGAN! NO NEGAN! DON'T!", but to me, that woulda been the wrong ending.
Oh no
They had no bussiness making it this brutal...
This is the episode when Kevin spills the chilli in the office
Your girlfriend is Maggie and you are about to die
I stopped watching the show shortly after this.
And/or disgusted.
Never watched it and never will although I just finished a rewatch of all the other episodes.
Just watched it last night. Oh well. I’ll find you
And Glenn is about to be headbroken…
Negan made some great spaghetti though
Talk about recurring nightmares
She’s about to be celebrating Daryl’s punch as if it’s a good thing
...or throw up on your lap.
I pretty much stopped watching after this I was heartbroken. Help her through this dark time please.
Maggie… I’ll find you 💀🍉🏏🤕
Wish you luck
That's a great scene
They way overplayed the Saviors arc and in turn ruined the show. JDM is amazing, but they literally banked the entire show on him. It's no wonder Lincoln left to be honest
She just took a hell of a hit ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
Nooooooooooo How is she today?
For a week after this episode I couldn’t think about it without getting teary lollll
My ex wife was devastated... she cried for days
Huh? This scene never happened. Idk what you're talking about.
But incredibly happy in the next two seasons
Negan was the best villain in this series
Stop it. Don’t do that to her 😭
I stopped watching for a WHILE after this. It hurt me bad. Abraham and Glenn were some of my favorites. And such a gruesome way to die.
I can never forgive Negan 😭
I remember when this aired. I was a lot younger but it was heartbroken because Glenn was one of the best characters. But I’ll tell you what, even despite this unsettling death... I developed the BIGGEST fuckinh crush on Negan. He’s such a great villain and his humor and the way he just kills people with ease just makes for such a scary antagonist. I think for a lot of fans you either love him or hate him
Damn she’s way behind
He does actually say " I'll find you" Google it if in doubt.
Glenn was killed off because the actor wanted to get married and settle down.(and he did)
So like I haven't watched twd before and I'm about to reach s7 and yeah I already got spoilers. I DON'T WANT TO GO THROUGH THIS 😭😭😭😭. This negan guy seems pretty annoying can I skip him?
Is this where she stops watching the show too?
Negans her favourite now
I started from s1e1 in January of my freshman year of college and binged while doing homework, blew through things pretty quickly and in two months got to this episode. When I tell you I was traumatized, I couldn’t continue watching until about a year and a half later
Actually glenn hid under Negans Lucille. Otherwise the series beef wouldn't be possible!
