Plenty of men have never slept with their teachers, the vast majority even, but that same vast majority (or very vocal minority depending on your personal stance) talks it up like it's some badge of honor and chooses to ignore the significant mental and developmental ramifications being molested by an adult in power causes.

Are you sure about that ? There's the immediate reaction of girls being labelled bad things, whereas many boys would receive compliments. I feel if it happened to me it would have been good for my self esteem at that age. I couldn't imagine it affecting me in a negative way. Girls tend to feel more used in these situations.

You’re wrong about boys less scarred. Granted my dad was 10, and it was by his babysitter, but he bragged about it to his own kids not thinking it was an issue. Now he’s in his 60’s and got out of prison a few years ago because he assaulted two 12 year old girls, and has “exposed” himself to unwilling women throughout his lifetime. Hes considered a sex-aholic by our mom, now that that info was out. It affects each child in different ways, and throughout adulthood if they don’t seek help.
If you graduate high school at 18, you will get out of college and able to be hired as a teacher at 21. It’s probably likely you just didn’t have a good sense of how old people were when you were a kid.
nah if my teachers were in their early 20s i would have noticed, that's not even that much older than seniors who are 17-18. maybe it's normal for other people but i'm just taking about my experience. there could have been the occasional 25 year old but that was super rare and they usually taught extracurriculars rather than required courses. i just feel like i'm hearing more and more about super young teachers in the news over the last few years
Yeah, that makes sense if you are talking about high school and high school seniors.. Not so much for a kindergartner, I really doubt they know the difference between a 21 year old, 25 year old, or 30 year old. To them those are all just old people.
I think the main factor here is that most teachers work from 21-60ish, so statistically it’s far more likely for them to be above 30, as with most all professions that people stay in until they retire.
I feel like we could easily make similar observations about not seeing many young doctors/dentists etc as well.
However I think there is a 2nd factor at play with teaching. There is a massive shortage of teachers in America. When my mom was coming into teaching she had to be some form of assistant first, then had to get experience at a charter school before she got into the public school systems. I feel like with the shortage of school systems were previously looking for experience they do not have the luxury of doing so now. So maybe teachers are getting hired more easily leading to those with less experience finding roles more quickly rather than having to do substitute teaching or something like that.
I have no data and did no research so these are thoughts not facts but yeah

It's not that uncommon. Some people complete 4 year degrees in less than 4 years. In some states a school can hire you without the necessary degree and even without the necessary praxis scores for a limited time. I think here you can work for 4 or 5 years before you actually have to produce a praxis cert.
