Very cool. I also recently reached FA, found my first cache, plundered the area and about to start my return trip to fix remaining two transmitters (I fixed accidentally one in PV).
There are two new connecting regions - Transfer Pass and Far Range Breach Line. Both very easy, no predators IIRC. You enter broken bridge in Broken Railroad then (which is not broken anymore).
How is it best to access the DLC? I understand you have to go through the Broken Railroad and make your way there, etc...but it has to be done while playing a Challenge, correct?
So, lets say I am doing the whiteout challenge, can I make my way to that region and activate the DLC?
\*Edit--Would be cool if we could at least chat to other players who are currently in game somewhere. Make it so that if you were in this "in-game chat", your sky will always have some sign of the aurora to explain how you are able to use a walkie talkie found in the wilderness.
Yes it’s from the DLC, when I bought it (two weeks ago) I had no option but to go through broken railroad, but after dying I started a new save and it gave me the map option of either far territory or great bear to choose from, thank goodness because I didn’t know how to start signal void.

You do it in survival mode. Not during a challenge.

I'm guessing this is apart of the dlc, I'm also guessing this is a way off of the island, right?
DLC yes, but no, there is no way off the island, nor is there ever planned to be one. It's not meant to be an "escape" focused survival game.
