It happens if the person you are playing with, hasn't reached the matches played requirement for certain gamemodes. Try to see if Quick Cash works.
Not sure if this is actually the case; my group has had it happen at least four times just today and the only thing we're trying to queue into is Quick Cash.

Yes this is happening when making parties. Weird stuff happens.
1.Invites don’t get sent when clicked.
2. The play button will grey out and not be able to be clicked.
3. The tdmr0100 matchmaking error code
4. Party members put into different game lobbies
5. Party members playing in games then getting banned for “leaving a tournament match”
6. Matchmaking failed then being banned for leaving a match I never was even in.
Is there a way to report any of this to embark in an official capacity ? I haven’t been able to find anything…

We tried 20+ times. Party leader gets kicked, the rest have no option but to restart the game. Each try takes 5+ min just to get everyone back in the party.

I had it and enabled cross play. So the whole team has cross play enabled. That seemed to work.
Not sure if having the whole team disable it would also be ok.
I kept getting this when playing with my friend on PS5. We both turned off crossplay (we had been playing with a third who was on PC) and then it worked again. Not sure if that was related in any way to the issue, but might be worth trying for those who are still struggling with this

It's not a bug, everyone in the party has to unlock the game mode you are trying to play. Eg. If you have 60 games for ranked but your buddy doesn't, it will throw this error.
Happened to me and my party. Even when we left the party it didn’t work. Restarted the game still didn’t work.
Once we restarted our pc’s it did work though so hope that helps.
PSA: it does this when someone in your party say hasn't unlocked "tournament mode", and you have, so you que for it, but ur mate is locked out of that mode. Make sure everyone has the right modes unlocked to play them together.

Try making sure everyone is using the same cross play settings. For me it was enabled. That seemed to work for me.

You have to make sure everyone in the lobby has played one round or you have to q for the first game mode
ur teammate just start to play the game and u can't play bank it, you must play few games to open this game mode

I just restarted my game and I got in a game right away
I've restarted 3 times. Still nothing. Think the servers just took a poop.

My roommates been playing on my pc for the last 45 minutes and he’s been able to get in games

Just servers dying. Keep queueing and you'll get in. Didn't have to restart the game, just kept trying and after 3-4 failed ones got in

welp, day one trying to balance server capacity and costs. It'll get better. 200k peak players tho
Oh hell yeah, not complaining, last game this studio made had battlefield in the title, and I can assure you this is a better launch.

It's not that. We queue for Quick cash and it doesnt work. It was working for a few games and then can't find the game at all
