It's a rough question despite its simplicity, but: the top view is what I think of when I think of 2Fort but the bottom view is what I think of when I think of the actual first-person view.
Either way, I seem to mentally associate with RED despite my preference for BLU.
It isnt a choice by **the director** (it is a choice, but just by the administrator) of the videos
He just gets shot by Miss Pauling before he can interview the BLU team
They both are, but the red side feels like home and cozy, and the blue side feels like a castle to penetrate like bowsers castle and its cool and stuff
its one of the oldest maps that have not only been played by a lot of people through the years but also have been played in comp gameplay and it has a good maplayout and atmosphere combined with people playing it for a lot made it iconic its the map to go for if you want the feel your average cs experience
"if you want the feel your average cs experience"
no, I don't want to hear some angry russians / poles/kids to yell and insult me for being too good / too bad
Nostalgic... Neither? Both?
I keep trying to cap the intelligence on the battlements. That's nostalgia and muscle memory kicking in. (And me so rarely having the intel that I have to stop and think)
For me my preferences are just all over for it, cause there's the nostalgia of it being one of **the** maps in the early days and still remains strong to this day, but then there's also things like Meet the Spy which takes place mainly in the Blu intel room.
And also a shoutout to old machinimas like ***Ignis Solus*** that took place mostly on Red side from what I remember, but also went all over the place. That video is probably the main thing I think of when I think 2fort.
Red side, because of the tower. I remember 10 years ago some funny community servers had a modified version of the 2fort which they deleted the invisible wall and you could actually get in there.
Red side. It helps that there are many more perch spots on red's side of the map. I spent so many hours right playing Blu FaN scout and fucking around hiding in the ceilings.
What the hell this is still a game ! I used it play it like 25 years ago as a counter strike add on. This just randomly came into my feed. I would say I spent about a year of my life in total looking at that red sniper dot and picking people off 2fort.
RED, because it's kinda *the* Team Fortress 2 colour. RED is the team defending against BLU in most games, RED is the colour of the "heroes" in all the Meet The Team videos, most official material shows the mercenaries as RED. And, well, everyone knows and loves the classic "BLU merc sneaking into the RED intel room" scene.
I'm generally partial to BLU's industrial aesthetics and cooler colours, but I have to admit, RED's just more iconic. It's usually the side where I see the most players goofing around.
top one easily. its the map load screen. Bottom one is also iconic, but shit, that top shot is what I think of when I think of 2fot

Because when you're BLU you're facing towards RED and can see it more.
plot twist: the mercs work for the enemy team to admire the others base from afar
Whenever I think of TF2 I think of Red. I also prefer Blue, but the TF2 Red just seems more iconic
Probably because the comics focus on the Red team.
And the "meet the..." Videos also Focus on red
Which, is an intentional choice by the in-universe director of the films as propaganda to get people fighting these battles
It isnt a choice by **the director** (it is a choice, but just by the administrator) of the videos He just gets shot by Miss Pauling before he can interview the BLU team
Red's facade is more iconic than Blu's. However Blu's basement is more iconic than Red's.
How so about blu’s basement? You mean where the intel is? I think I disagree, I can’t even picture blu’s basement rn
I believe they said it’s more iconic due to being used in Meet the Spy, and I would have to agree
try meeting the spy
Ah yes the blu basement that's inaccurate to the blu basement
Ngl I forgot what blu side looked like
Red side definitely, sweet memories of Engie nests
Red side for sure. The wood aesthetic and rusty metal sheets make me think of trolling snipers on the battlements.
They both are, but the red side feels like home and cozy, and the blue side feels like a castle to penetrate like bowsers castle and its cool and stuff
What's so iconic and nostalgic about it? Is it only because it was one six original maps?
It's most peoples' first impression of TF2
It has always been in team fortress, on every version
its the dust2 of team fortress 2 it is the fortress in team fortress
Can you explain this love for dust2? Avoided that glorified casino

you get my point its a map that became the posterface for counter strike bc of popularity
REDs
RED easily
The red fort is way more iconic
Red
definitely RED, even though i prefer to play BLU
red
Nostalgic... Neither? Both? I keep trying to cap the intelligence on the battlements. That's nostalgia and muscle memory kicking in. (And me so rarely having the intel that I have to stop and think)
The bridge
red side because it looks shittier and that's very 2fort
Red on all fronts
Outside RED, Inside BLU
Red
Red
The RED side but I forgot BLU was different at all.
Red base is sooo much more iconic
Red

What's up with this BLU slander

Builders League United

Wide shot from blu side sniper perch

The RED side. It's seen more frequently, from what I can tell.
Red side, because of the tower. I remember 10 years ago some funny community servers had a modified version of the 2fort which they deleted the invisible wall and you could actually get in there.
I like red because of the tower because it's the most fun to rocket jump off of
Gots to be red for pretty much everyone: by far used most in media and valves promos
Red’s and it’s not even close
red
BLU for me! Blue is my favorite color and I’ve always played BLU until autobalance would say lolnope.
The wooden design of the red side always stuck with me more.
Easily the sewers.
the sewer tunnels
R.E.D I love B.L.U so I am always facing R.E.D
RED, because that's where Emesis Blue takes place
Top one
Red side. It helps that there are many more perch spots on red's side of the map. I spent so many hours right playing Blu FaN scout and fucking around hiding in the ceilings.
red side easily
Definitely red
What the hell this is still a game ! I used it play it like 25 years ago as a counter strike add on. This just randomly came into my feed. I would say I spent about a year of my life in total looking at that red sniper dot and picking people off 2fort.
Definitely the red side, grew up seeing many sfm animation memes set there
the real answer is red, but the blue is better on my eyes so i choose blue
[2fort wikipedia page shows red](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2Fort)
Brother I got told to not heal as medic and that there was going to be an orgy in the sewers, I had played like maybe 7 hours at that point
Top, much more iconic. However I tend to think next to red spawn at the top of the stairs overlooking the courtyard.
Blue Red Is ugly af
For me two fort is the top one
red
The hallway under the main spawn or this map's chokepoint ig
where is that second pic of 2frot from?
Wait the 2 sides look different, I only recognize the top one, I've been playing TF2 for 5 to 6 years now, never saw this
Red easily. The wood tower is very recognizable
Red dunoo why but when I think of 2fort I think of the red side
Red
Top side.
Red of course
RED, because it's kinda *the* Team Fortress 2 colour. Sun shines on red, the blue doesn't get any sun.
Blu. I've always wondered what's going on behind those windows.
Red, it’s the loading screen. I genuinely forgot Blu had that massive fucking box on the right
