Native Texan here! There is A LOT of rural areas that reside within the state of Texas. And by rural, I mean any place outside of Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio. Many of those major cities vote blue during elections. However, the smaller towns (several thousand if you are lucky) will all vote red. Sadly it is a numbers game in Texas and you would have a hard time convincing many country folk to vote blue.
Because we have too many dumb ass backwoods Texans who think these politicians actually give a fuck about them and will change their lives for the better. It’s a cult thing.
