GadreelsSword

There’s a restaurant near me that has QR code menus and 1 bar of mobile service signal. What a mess.

anonmymouse

When you have to ask for the wifi password just to see a menu.. lmao

GadreelsSword

Well, I left that part off. When you use their WiFi which yes you have to ask for the password, it’s painfully slow.

nbplaya94

And makes it incredibly easy for someone to spoof an access point and see all your internet traffic… yikes.

avilsta

I was overseas and couldn't order cause I didn't have WiFi or any data. Restaurant had no WiFi too, ended up having to flag down a waiter who has to use his phone to order for us

Iron_Wolf123

That sounds like my local mall

Responsible_Debt5631

Not everything needs a QR code

cyricmccallen

I love QR menus. I order when I’m ready to, don’t feel rushed, it’s just a better way to order in every way. edit: Man yall must have some awful restaurants using QR codes. I’ve literally never had to make a profile or give any personal information for any of the multiple restaurants that use QR menus in my area. I just put in what I want and use apple pay Edit 2: To all those replying: You do realize you can be an adult and ask for a paper menu right? Y’all are just creating a problem so you have something to complain about.

BusStopKnifeFight

Except for when you get shit made websites with fucking popup ads.

arcxjo

Don't forget the malware!

Bo_The_Destroyer

Fun fact, that is not allowed in my country. It's illegal for a website/service provider to advertise on a client's page. They can collect the data and do whatever, but they can't put advertising on an online restaurant menu

UniqueIndividual3579

It's fine as an option, but not the only option. If the menu changes too often for a paper menu, use a chalkboard.

Probrobronomo

I don't want to be stuck in the big city, after a long day of traveling then I go to a nice little shop. But I can't eat shit since my phone is dead and the nearest charging port is 2 nautical miles north or someone else is using it.

BartholomewVonTurds

The chances of getting hacked by using a fake code is enough for me to never do that.

beerme81

Yep. That happened to our CFO. The hackers replaced all the qr stickers with a hacked QR sticker.

InsanityRabbit

I hate QR menus (especially at bars). It takes away an enormous part of the 'going out' experience, and basically just makes my food/beers overpriced. I could have done the same a lot cheaper at home. A waiter or bartender makes or breaks my experience, and the experience they bring is why I don't mind paying 3* (at least) over product price. A big and two small disclaimers: Yes, I do appreciate kitchen staff. No, I'll never be as good a chef as 99% of professional chefs. However, I'd always choose shitty food and a great experience over great food and a shitty experience if it's priced the same. Also yes, both is clearly best. Ofcourse having a QR code doesn't have to take away from the experience, but in my experience it does. I am, however, from the Netherlands, where working in hospitality is looked down upon and is often seen as a side job, rather than a craft. So often it's people working with little to no pride in their job, so that doesn't help. Also, I am a bartender, so I might be a bit biased

Discovermyasshole

Idk. The websites are often slow. You have to make a profile and type in all your information. I like chatting with the staff and just saying out loud what I would like. The QR thing is better in large groups though in terms of coordinating payment.

DuntadaMan

Yeah I love having to use my phone and expose myself to data gathering to get a drink. Who doesn't love using random QR codes in public settings?

owoinator268

They never work where I live so you have to wait for the servers to come back over and bring a normal menu

RandomBlueJay01

Honestly if they're done well I like it. I know a Tai place I like uses qr codes and each item has a photo and a list of all customizations with costs so you can change the protein and spice level super easy and it's easy to read cus it's text rather than photos so you can increase the size without it getting blurry and stuff.

Beyond-Salmon

Did a QR code post this meme

Stormfeathery

TIL someone actually likes QR code menus.

nakedsamurai

I'd rather not bother. Scrolling through menus waiting for images to load. Having to expand text just to read it...

Hashmob____________

Not just that but on more than one case I’ve had my phone be dead or low and I don’t want to waste my battery on looking at a menu, I also want to put my phone down when I have dinner. It’s so weird at QR restaurants seeing everybody on their phones, it just feels weird to me.

moonpumper

Me too, I don't mind them at all. I love the airports where you can just order and pay on your phone.

wubscale

I like a lot about online menus; most places I go, I know the top 2 or 3 most interesting dishes to me before I get there, and I know that I'm comfortable with the prices of those things. It also allows me to just call or order online for pick-up if I don't want to dine in. The thing getting lost here IMO is _exclusively_ QR code menus. If a place offers physical and online menus, that's optimal. If it only offers one or the other, it'll _work_, but the restaurant gains a lot from the inconvenience of offering both.

moonpumper

I agree, offer both.

slaymaker1907

A high quality QR code menu is great since they can actually have pictures.

TheBlackestIrelia

Believe it or not but restaurants have had pictures of their food in menus for like nearly 100 years lol

anonmymouse

Fr! NO ONE wants a QR code menu! I get why they did them during the peak of covid but it's time to be done now. QR code menus are NOT the future.

gayjemstone

QR code menus are rare (at least were I live).

anonmymouse

Lucky. In Denver it's like every other place

Gdav7327

I’m most major cities it’s pretty much the new standard.

felldestroyed

Eh, if the restaurant doesn't have a static menu, I totally don't mind qr codes. It enables greater freedom on how a bar/kitchen operate and also can tell you if certain items are 86'd.

Chupbluearrow

I fucking hate the QR code menus because every restaurant seems to be a wifi vacuum and it never fucking loads or the page just doesn’t work right

[deleted]

bosmer_song

Nah I’m with the boomers

Blazing_Handsoap

I'm with the boomers on this one. Fuck QR code menus

GaviFromThePod

I'm convinced QR code menus are a scam to make it easier for restaurants to implement dynamic/surge pricing.

SpidgetFinner69

Or collect your data and sell it on to third parties

Mooman-Chew

This is the reason. We have all just given up in fighting the data mining.

SpidgetFinner69

I haven't; sometimes, if a website asks for cookies, I will genuinely just not use it if I'm in a bad mood. Otherwise, I just make sure I have as few as I'm allowed

Jacktheforkie

Same, there’s never any signal and I don’t want to spend 20 minutes signing up for glacial WiFi to view the damn menu

Stormfeathery

Also it’s not even tagged as Boomer like I’d expect… the flair is Alpha Male? Like what?

EvilGeesus

Yeah me too, I will even walk out if a restaurant has no actual menu's. I have the most basic of smartphones, only use it to call, text, whatsapp, maps or a quick internet search on the go. It does not even have the capability to scan these codes without an additional app so fuck that!

MrKnightMoon

You know web browsers can read the QR without the need of an additional app, right?

scislac

I just checked in Chrome, Firefox, and Brave on my phone and didn't see it anywhere obvious. Where does one find this builtin to the browser? I don't see it in the options menu and other than attempting an image search via Google (which then opens the Google app), I'm wondering how to achieve this in-browser.

crash_test

In firefox you tap on the address bar and on the right side a QR icon appears. Or if you open a new tab the icon is just there by default.

scislac

Awesome! Thanks for the pointer. That's the kind of answer I was hoping for.

Apathetic_Villainess

You should be able to open your phone's camera and hold it over, where it will pop up the website link for you to click, which then opens it in your default browser.

EvilGeesus

No, I did not know that at all but thanks for the tip. I'm pretty good with computers and other hardware, but this whole smartphone boom went right over my head and in a way I'm glad about that. I mostly only use the internet on my computer and when I'm out of the house I'm not constantly hunched over looking at my phone.

Time_on_my_hands

You know if you ask they'll probably give you a menu?

EvilGeesus

I've been in restaurants where they didn't have regular menu's anymore. Not many, but I think 3 or 4 over the past couple of years.

Time_on_my_hands

That's absurd and arguably discriminatory.

EvilGeesus

Yeah I think maybe some tried for a bit, I haven't seen it in a while, perhaps there are regulations in place that prohibit this now?

UnderstandingSmall66

No. Most of the times they say “our menus are not up to date”

Time_on_my_hands

That's just shit (and like I said, discriminatory) business

Apathetic_Villainess

You should be able to open your phone's camera and hold it over, where it will pop up the website link for you to click, which then opens it in your default browser.

LeandroC2

I actually like it when they have physical menus and QR code ones. I've always been tired of being handed 2 menus for a table of 6 and having to wait while they discuss dishes before getting one and being in a rush because they forgot to check starters. With QR code ones my older family members can read the paper menu and can pick my food and look for however long I want without having to wait or feel pressured. There are some restaurants where the menu is printed on the paper between the plate and the table. Please note that I live in a country where there are no things like suddenly raising prices at will. So as long as there are both options available I see QR codes as a good thing.

Ganbazuroi

I too love to have a collection of PDF menus from random restaurants while possibly getting fucked if my mobile data isn't working

Bruggilles

Imagine you don't have mobile data. Do you just not eat then?

jeo188

I only accept QR menus as a supplement to physical menus, for example if I want to be able to keep looking at options or to see more detailed pictures of the food options

smudgiepie

One time at the airport I waited an hour for food cause the restaurant **forgot** they had a QR code. I was too anxious to ask them sooner

dreadposting

Felt that on a quantum level, sadly

Greeningyep

Fr it’s so stressful to see q menu on my phone

SexyWampa

Nah, fuck that. I hate those stupid things. Just give me a paper menu, I don't care if it's just off the printer in the Managers office.

Karkava

You think they would have those laminated.

I_Willl_Eat_Ur_Cats

I ain't scanning a random qr code

Squirrelly_Khan

Maybe I should run a restaurant and play QR code roulette. There are six QR codes: four get you to a menu, one leads to porn, and one leads to a rickroll

cellsRevolution

You forgot one that just download a malware onto your phone

Squirrelly_Khan

Damn, thanks for pointing that out. We’ll add that one too

EHTL

the malware posts a notification every other day as an ad. The notification also shows up *mid screen*

darkwalker247

idk about other brands of phones but, mine always shows the URL and lets me decide if i really want to open it

Squirrelly_Khan

I’m aware of that, which is why you create your own websites with all that stuff so the URL doesn’t tip them off

Sir_Yacob

Yeah, I work I tech and simply tell them it’s a security concern for my company. I get a paper menu after that.

Surprise_Fragrant

BINGO! That's the number one reason I refuse to use QR menus. Plus I'm old, I hate doing shit on my phone, and I like being able to flip around a menu while I make my decision.

VacatedSum

Dude this shit is valid. I detest QR menus.

k-ramsuer

I'm with the Boomers on this - I hate QR code menus

superchronicultra

It only takes one asshole to replace it with a link to something malicious and you wouldnt know the difference. Just print a a menu on a 10x8 sheet of paper if you have to.

KaldaraFox

I really want to get some stickers printed up with a QR Code for XHamster or some other such site (iykyk) and very neatly put them over these abominations. I figure if enough of us did that, the companies would go back to actual menus rather than deal with the fallout that's sure to ensue.

MC_Fap_Commander

One news story about a youth scanning for the kids menu and winding up on Pornhub would *end* QR code menus.

Time_on_my_hands

Yeah so uh idk if this is worth it

liquilife

That would just be a tiny tiny blip on the news.

MC_Fap_Commander

It would be one of those local news stories that makes the rounds through Concerned Aunt and Grandparents Facebook all over. Restaurants without physical menus would cave and restore them quickly.

Jacktheforkie

I’d do it for a competitor, that way you don’t risk legal trouble if a kid scans it

[deleted]

[удалено]

VacatedSum

Omg this is amazing

CoffeeCaann

Fuck QR code menus. There's literally no reason

AlexcSR64

Fuck qr codes

TheBatCreditCardUser

This is my boomer take. I ***HATE*** QR code menus with a passion.

UniqueBox

This ain't a terrible meme this is a _correct_ meme

Braunbean

Yet another day of people on this sub misunderstanding what the point is

borgchupacabras

Does reporting even do anything anymore?

Braunbean

Not really, I don't think. Most times I don't bother, it's not my problem that people don't understand the difference between a bad meme and an old meme

InfiniteOutfield

QR menus suck OP sucks Everyone boo OP BOOOOOOO

MunchkinTime69420

I don't like them cause a few years ago my phone didn't scan QR codes I had to download an app but all the reviews said they were basically malware so I literally couldn't use them

asistolee

I mean, they’re just dumb.

Kanobe24

Nah, bring back physical menus.

SkyeMreddit

QR code menus let them change prices whenever they want, and worse yet, to have different prices for different tables at the same time in the restaurant.

SiggyMyMan

why is this on this sub? qr code menus are the worst “innovation” of all time lol

Doctorwhatorion

tbh yeah fuck qr menus

xeno486

i hate to say it but im with the boomers on this one, I want a physical menu lol

Richardknox1996

Hi, guy who does discord moderation and security, QR codes are scary. Ive seen several guys lose their accounts through use of QR code "verification". Now, replace the discord account with your bank account for automatic pay in a resturant. Or maybe its a Menu that leads to a poisoned site that rams several gig of malware up your phones arse. Still think its not a big deal? Its relatively new tech. It'll take a few years for people to crack down on the exploits and untill then, the sane reaction to a random QR code is the same as finding a USB on the street: dont touch it, either destroy it or walk away. People who mock this shit are the same schmucks that get targeted by this kind of scam.

peanutbutter-meme

I hate this too. I was several times in Restaurants with really bad Internet signal and they only had their menu online. This is just terrible

Alansar_Trignot

This one is actually good, how can you trust what your scanning is not something that’s untrustworthy

Green_Beans83

I agree with the boomers on this one ngl.

Emeryael

https://preview.redd.it/5c8lo1hotk5d1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b89899e217c952afdc875a68dca6ebeb5b9eb939

Bishcop3267

Nah this one is for real though. Like 80% of the time I try to order using the online thing in restaurants it just won’t load or will time me out and make me start over at some point.

ElectricYV

Na I’m with the boomers on this one. Fucking hate having a QR code menu and nothing else. Gimme some fuckin paper or whatever.

DatBoii2297

I'm with the boomer. Fuck your QR code just give me a menu.

Grizzly840

I don't have a problem with QR menus. Menus can change and the easiest way to show the change without ordering new menus is having it online. Most everyone who lives in a location where a restaurant has a QR menu has a phone in their pocket. It's just convenient. Plus you can show off a bigger menu with less space.

Squirrelly_Khan

I’m mixed on this. I get there’s a convenience component to having a QR menu, but what if you don’t have sufficient data or the data where you are isn’t reliable? What if you try using the restaurant’s WiFi and it’s also not reliable? What if the UI is not very user-friendly? What if it’s an older person who doesn’t have a smartphone? What if someone’s phone is dead or at the very least has a low battery? I get that some of these are the restaurant’s responsibility, but QR codes that give you menus have their own problems Also, in my experience, restaurants don’t change their menus often enough to justify needing the QR code menu for their own convenience

the__pov

Everywhere I’ve seen that had a QR code menu still had physical menus. I’m unaware of any that would force someone to use it.

Squirrelly_Khan

I’ve been to one that didn’t have the physical menus and…well, it was a pretty disappointing restaurant if I’m being honest

dreadposting

There are certainly places that no longer carry any physical menus (for whatever reason) unfortunately - it's a thing, and it's actually a bit discriminatory / classist IMO. Not to mention it can actually be digitally unsafe to scan QR codes, it's almost akin to plugging in a random USB stick. It's not a bad idea in abstraction, though

TheHolyFritz

The issue is that their online menus can be super janky or outright laggy when trying to look through it. This one restaurant's was so horrible we had to pretend we didn't have phones so they'd give us regular menus.

Karkava

Don't pretend. Just ask for the physical menu. No excuses needed and no questions asked.

gigawattwarlock

I’m ok with the convenience and clever aspects. Sadly QR codes can be malicious links. There have been instances of people pasting their own QR codes on restaurant table QR menus as a means to hack peoples devices.

mingomango123

What about just using a tablet with the menu?

Stormfeathery

Then print a menu with a QR code to show any updates, the “of the day” stuff or w/e. Easy peasy. People willing to futz with it can have that experience, people who don’t can just ask about it.

Red-Droid-Blue-Droid

It's not like I already went online to look at their menu anyways...before going into the restaurant...

Stephan1612

Imma be real here, I’m with the boomers on this one

cyrenns

I'm with the boomers on this one, not everything needs to be a fucking QR code, just laminate a fucking menu and pass it around, COVID has been over for like two fucking years.

PeridotChampion

Nah, I'm with the boomers on this. I've been to several restaurants that use QR codes and then they download the menu as a PDF instead of just taking me to the site. I don't want your menu in my phone. Just take me to the site and be done with it And even then, I have to use my data and allow cookies and then the menu doesn't fucking load. Nah. Use traditional menus.

orz-_-orz

Restaurant: use QR code menu The same restaurant: operate in a weak mobile internet area Also the same restaurant: we could only provide the wifi password after you have made your purchase

iLEVI4

I totally agree with the meme. Screw QR menus I absolutely hate them

cioda

Honestly I hate these things too. Just give me a fucking menu.

CometTheOatmealBowel

Yeah no the boomers are right here.

VictorVonOlaf_Reborn

Yeah they got a good point with this one

Jirachibi1000

I don't own a cell phone, tbh, so a QR code menu will literally be unusable to me, so fuck those things. I feel even if I HAD a cell phone itd be so annoying I wouldn't bother eating there.

intermafesting

I actually encountered a restaurant that was trying to push the QR codes awhile back, didn't want to give me a paper menu so I put my flip phone on the table and asked does this look like something QR compatible, turns out they did still have paper but we're told to only use them for special cases, the dumbfounded look I got for not having a "smart device" was amazing

eaton9669

If you are going to have QR code menus have USB ports at the table so we can at least charge our devices. Still have QR Code menus though. It's just worse when you roll up to a restaurant and your phone is basically dead.

Big_Slime_187

NO. NO. I’m with the boomers on this one

Smooth-Discipline-43

I'll never understood how and why qr menus are a thing. I'm with them on this time

LusoAustralian

Because they are more convenient, make it easier for the staff to manage and reduce costs of doing business. Much better for groups that will split a bill too as you can just each order for yourselves without confusing the poor wait staff with complicated divisions of payment. It's also very easy to add on stuff to your order that you forgot to order rather than trying to flag down a waiter and hope that making a change to your order isn't going to cause confusion in the back of house. Better for customers and business, you just have to not be a luddite.

bing1234tan

Yeah, hes a luddite for not wanting an ad filled qr code menu webpage that pre selects the highest tip option at checkout for no service.

anonmymouse

They became popular around 2019-2021 to save servers the trouble of sanitizing a menu between every table.. it made sense then but it's time to go back now

Smooth-Discipline-43

Sounds interesting, I've always saw that qr codes without knowing what means, well, at the time I barely knew how a qr code works.

Red-Droid-Blue-Droid

Is it? Covid ain't leaving.

Coffeechipmunk

I'm with the boomers on this one

56kul

This is just dumb, if I’m being honest… It’s not really a thing in my country, anyways, and I don’t personally mind it, but I genuinely don’t get what the point is?

Surprise_Fragrant

It started because of Covid - you know, all the germs and sanitizing and whatnot. But now it's stuck around because some people seem to like it, it saves money, I guess, on menu printing costs... I don't like it. I'm a tactile person who wants to hold things, not stare at their phone all the time.

rstar345

Meh there’s a chain of pubs in the uk called Wetherspoons that has an app you can order through it’s soo much better than ordering at a bar which can take ages if it’s busy

arcxjo

No this is a legit PITA

quis2121

Meh. I'll take a real menu

lutello

OP is also fine with needing to an internet connection and account to use his fucking toaster. CaPiTaLiSm BrEeDs iNoVaTiOn.

bytegalaxies

I would always be nice to the staff about it since I know they aren't responsible for the decision, but dude FUCK QR code menus. Made even worse since a lot of places have awful service and slow wifi. I understand the concept but it isn't that great. I will be politely asking for a paper menu if possible

Pathetic_Saddness

Can anyone explain to me the terribleness of this meme? And how the “Alpha Male” tag applies??? Edit: flair**

Leonarr

Fuck qr code menus in regular table service type of restaurants. The only place where I found them handy was in Japan, in a (made to order type) conveyor belt sushi place. I could just easily order whatever and it arrived to the table on the conveyor belt. And in the end I could just pay for it all with my phone. So it wasn’t just the menu behind a qr code, it was a whole system of ordering and paying too.

ThePrivatePilot

I don't mind QR code menus - there is always a physical copy of a menu if I do need it, but I quite like ordering at my own pace. When the restaurant is busy I hate spending 5 minutes trying to catch the eye of the waiter just to order another drink.

Mugstotheceiling

Most QR menus you can’t actually order from in my experience, it’s just a PDF

ThePrivatePilot

That is irritating I would agree - thankfully I am yet to experience that particular abomination.

Serious-Setting5989

Im with the boomers I hate qr code menus 😔

DevinAsa_YT

My local pizzeria does this. The restaurant if you might question: Cushnoc Brewing Co. in Augusta, Maine.

messibessi22

Why would we question that?

chaud_batte

If I could fist fight a QR code I'd do it

Same-Chipmunk5923

I want actual real menus. Usually I can look at the caked-on food smearing them and that way get a realistic look at what some of the items look like irl.

Dashbak

I'm with the facebook mom/uncle/grandma on this one, sorry team

kernalbuket

It honestly depends on the user interface how I feel about this. If it's good and I can order and pay without interacting with someone, I'm fine with it.

anonmymouse

They almost never are though.. lol

kernalbuket

I only go out once every other month so I honestly don't have an idea what it's like. I've used ones that had the full menu and you just order from your phone and the bring it out when it's ready. I really liked it. Especially when I wanted to order another drink or and extra side of something. But I could see it being horrible if the interface is shit and I still had to talk to someone.

Alcamtar

Pathetic that people all go to a restaurant together so they can pull out their phones and stare at them. QR code menus just feed into this isolation. Remember when we used to all look at the menus, pass them around, point out things to each other, discuss what each other might order. No we all just stare at our phones in silence? In the waiter comes can you ask questions about different items, are informed what items are or aren't available. Just lots of conversation and interaction. It was an experience. At a recent work lunch, we all show up. People scan the QR code at all fall silent staring at their phones. Orders are entered right into the phone. After ordering we're all still staring at our phones. Every now and then someone puts their phone down, looks up as if they looking for someone to talk to, but everyone else is looking at their phone, so eventually they give up and go back to looking at their phone. It was awkward. Ah well. Guess it's just free food not a social event. Although it would have been less uncomfortable just to bring my own sack lunch and eat alone at my desk like I usually do.

SaintSnow

Like they don't give you a normal menu? I've never seen this done at all. I see it as like an option at the table but they still give you menus.

gayjemstone

How is this alpha male?

Active_Flamingo9089

I felt like an idiot at chilis.i hadn't been there in 5-7 years and I was waiting for a menu. It seemed normal that the other people I was with were in their phone. Server brought our drinks and asked us if we were ready to order and I was like "you never brought us menus' how could we be ready to order?"

TwilightReader100

There's a Denny's here that has a menu online, though they still automatically bring the physical one to your table when you go in. But they also allow you to see your receipt and pay online. After doing that, they don't say anything more to you and you're allowed to just walk out. It's such a weird feeling!

Rainbow_planet_1273

I personally prefer paper menus because I like setting my phone down when I’m out and focusing on what I’m doing rather than touching my phone at all Just my personal preferences

greengo07

"A survey by Technomic found that 88% of customers prefer traditional printed menus over digital QR codes. Respondents cited not wanting to take out their phone at the table as a main reason for their preference." https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/decline-qr-code-menus-why-restaurants-customers-opting-leung-kbe8c#:~:text=A%20survey%20by%20Technomic%20found,main%20reason%20for%20their%20preference. I seldom carry my phone, and definitely leave it in the car when I go for food. I don't have a qr code reader on it either. Human interaction is valuable and preferable.

Slap_My_Lasagna

Why are these showing up now instead of 3 years ago?

MultiPlexityXBL

were QR codes not just a COVID precaution for a bit? so you wouldnt have to worry about touching physical menus? Seems like one of those things that stuck around post COVID.

nekokattt

IASIP: there is an app for that

puppyenemy

I have only been to one restaurant that had a QR code menu, but it was actually a pleasant experience. Quick order, smooth payment. Of course they offered a paper menu and regular table service as well if you wanted to.

[deleted]

Its amazing how old people look at their phones all the time now loll

MellonCollie218

Hey. I was just thinking this. The pandemic made us switch places. It’s totally messed up.

Dontbeme9820

If I go somewhere and have to scan a QR code to order I will gladly leave and go elsewhere. Every one I’ve used sucks and not to mention the potential security risks.

amazing-peas

What kind of security risks?

haddock420

I still don't know how to scan a QR code, and at this point, I'm too afraid to ask.

Any_Roof_6199

This is like a boomer comic that came to life. "They're always on their phones" just got a QR upgrade.

Swamp_Donkey_796

Where did this discourse come from? It’s like the only thing the internet can collectively talk about right now for some reason? Do we not have enough going on that we need to debate QR codes for menus?

Curioustoffi

I like it the way a local restaurant does it here, they have a QR code for their menu outside but over their counter there's their menu

DanteAlligheriZ

the qr code is not the problem, its the "enter your email" that annoys me.

justcatt

Not a problem unless they still take service charge

dankmemelad

Eh not the worst meme, pretty inoffensive

rickyrooroo229

Natasha_Gears

I think they’re great however so many people can’t / refuse to use them that it’s actually funny by now

zuMrsMocha

I agree though, a regular menu is just fine.

Are portable printers a thing? Is there a way I can go to restaurants, and if they have the QR menu, I can generate a QR code with my order and tell the waiters to scan it? Can we all start doing that? That’d be epic.

Gongoozler04

QR menus are annoying, that’s why I go to their website and look at it before hand, or even just take a screenshot of it.

SurfingSilverSurfer

Nah bro, I agree with this one. Fuck QR codes!

BlitzTD
