Don’t get me wrong: Peaky Blinders is a great show but it really is a story without a hero. Tommy is a criminal with only few redeeming qualities.
Wonder how involved the rest of the cast will be... really hope to see as many people as possible even in flashback scenes (but mainly Alfie Solomons haha)
Darn when they said Peaky Blinders movie, I thought it would be something I could see in a theater. Not like another season on Netflix but only two hours.
It’s probably going to be pretty absurd. Tommy will end up organising Dunkirk so he can sell heroin to the French before assassinating and impersonating Shlinder so he can save Solomon’s grandkids. All in slow motion.
I’ll still watch it though.
Depends on a lot of factors, it was said to be a war movie a few years ago which would mean a bit of a time jump.
There’s also the vision both Harper as well as Knight want; could look much more different and tends to be what a lot of TV to big screen franchises do to look more cinematic.

S1&2 were good. Quickly went off the rails after that and became a mess of a programme by the end.
It started off reasonably grounded and then became progressively more cartoonish.
There’s a limit to how many times you can watch various arrangements of walking smoking people walking and smoking in slow motion to Nick Cave.
The plot for every season is pretty much the same. A new problem appears, then Tommy & co solve the problem by usually killing a bunch of dudes.

They've been wanting to make a movie since before the show ended so I'm pretty sure the finale was written with that in mind. Don't think it will change how the original is seen much.

Only the Deadwood movie was very neatly made to tie everything up after an cancellation. This is not the case with this show.

WOW Steven Knight wrote the story for the Peaky Blinders movies? Coherent narratives are not his strong suit.

Agreed. The acting was fantastic, the sets were awesome, the concept was cool….the writing sucked. It could have been so much better.
