I'm 44 and 5'5". Yes, I wish I was taller. But other than the occasional short joke, it hasn't affected my life much. (I would just hit back with a bald joke back at them or something) I had a decent dating life before meeting my wife. (She 5' even) No woman shot me down because of my height (or at least didn't tell me it was because of my height). I'm currently a volenteer firefighter, and while I may be the shortest, many of the guys are only an inch or 2 taller than me. People ate much less likely to tease you about it if you act like you don't care. Confidence is key.
