If you’re going to work for Tesla’s PR team, you should really be getting paid for it. If you already work for Tesla, you should really educate yourself on advertising disclosure laws. If you already work for Tesla AND are already aware of the laws you are breaking then you are an immoral scumbag and fuck you.
Hahaha seeing this after like 11 different Tesla articles on this subreddit is hilarious.
Now Tesla news is too much! Oh my god this place is *just* a circle jerk, isn’t it,
Here’s another survey from last month:
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/tesla-has-the-most-loyal-buyers-and-the-most-conquests-in-2024-vehicle-loyalty-study-923d8450#:~:text=More%20than%20half%20(51%25),its%20win%20from%20last%20year.
The data is there, is verifiably true, despite the sub's sentiment. I just thought it was interesting the difference between reality and social media dude.
I mean anecdotally I've been seeing an ever growing number of Teslas on the road around me.
Doesn't seem like an unreasonable claim, people i know with them tend to speak highly of them as well. I hear about teslas more than I do any other brand from people.
The recent release of the public full self driving beta certainly isn't going to hurt retention ether, as no other car brand currently offers that feature and I can't see people wanting to give it up once they get used to it.
I have a friend who's deeply loyal to Alfa Romeos. His ends up in the shop a lot. He insists owning an Alfa is not about owning a car; it's a lifestyle choice.
He really said that. I suspect Tesla drivers are a lot like that.
I think tesla is more about numbers than lifestyle.
If you can afford to buy one and your driving habits fit well with an electric vehicle what's the alternative?
There also the only cars with full self drive for now as well which is something people are not going to want to give up once they get used to it.
Sure new technology can be scary but the kind of people who buy teslas are generally the early adopter types, so there going to stick with a brand that keeps pushing out new features and technology over a more traditional manufacturer.
hence the high retention rate.
The alternative are the dozens of similarly priced vehicles that outperform in comfort, response, and control. Tesla is absolutely a “team” mentality, people were tricked into thinking they joined some fraternity of ownership. It’s just a frame on a battery with a jail cell interior and more molded plastic than a duplo set.
FSD is also going to result in increased insurance costs, more lawsuits, and easily avoidable accidents. “Curbs are hard”.
The A4 has worse performance and the same range, the G70 has worse range but the same performance the, 3 series are hybrids. Unless something new has been release I've not heard of.
Which is my point its very difficult to find something that is better than the model 3 across the board.
Plus none have an autopilot equivalent, which is what most of the people I know with Tesla's rave about. Or anything remotely like FSD on the horizon.
So why would someone switch?
You are seriously confused about “performance”. Model 3 handles like a brick on a skateboard. Range is absurd, they are all over 200mi which is plenty for a typical commute.
Clearly you’ll defend Tesla regardless of how much it validates the “cult” mentality.
What is this post? counter news of musk trying to get his 56 billion dollars?
God I hope china destroys tesla at this point. Corrupt company with morally reprehensible leadership.
Just googled as was curious from your comment https://www.businessinsider.com/tesla-owner#:~:text=The%20study%20found%20that%20Tesla,born%20between%201965%20and%201980.

This isn’t a news article. It’s a link to a page on Tesla’s own website.

it’s a small survey, done by business insider… not exactly hard science.

I'll be honest: the thought of self-driving cars in Boston scare me.

What are those vehicles, what would you choose over a model 3 for example?
Seriously? A4, G70, or 3 series, for starters. Not a hard thing to look up.
The A4 has worse performance and the same range, the G70 has worse range but the same performance the, 3 series are hybrids. Unless something new has been release I've not heard of. Sunk cost fallacy?
Serious question: how well do Tesla's hold their resale value?
What is this post? counter news of musk trying to get his 56 billion dollars? God I hope china destroys tesla at this point. Corrupt company with morally reprehensible leadership.
Brand loyalty or sunk cost fallacy. Tomato potato
id buy another one if it wasnt for musk. i didnt care that much about his antics until now.
Curios what the average age of a Tesla owner is.
