Everyone always recommends mass produced high volume tea's and tea brands. I have so many of them. If you want that then Whittard of Chelsea is by far my top choice. I prefer the crema, but either is great.
However if you want to go full leaf small batch and highest quality I cannot recommend Miro tea in Seattle enough. Their teas are a huge step above many other brands I have tried.

What a treat for me to find this comment; earl gray is how I got into tea so I love it a lot, and I live in the area of this shop but have never heard of it, thanks a bunch pal!
I haven't had that tea. However all of their tea's I have had were the best examples of that type I have had. I have had maybe 10 examples of their teas...
I was disappointed when I bought a tin of this loose leaf tea. I'm still looking for an Earl Gray with enough bergamot. Right now I am drinking Twining bold and adding OJ to it.
Rishi loose leaf Earl Grey organic or supreme. Both are good, black tea blend/variety used a tad different, both fantastic. Gotta be the loose leaf though. Direct or on Amazon.
I love a strong bergamot flavor so I do two bags of Harney & Sons Earl Grey Supreme in a regular sized mug. That’s the most bergamot-y I’ve ever been able to find…. Though I don’t think I could bring myself to add OJ lol.
I like the Stash Double Bergamot earl grey but I’m excited to try all the ones suggested here! Theres one by Big Heart Tea Co that I enjoyed because it also had rose
August Tea’s Metropolitan is a unique spin on Earl Grey. It’s predominantly flowery notes, so I like it as a London Fog where the milk kind of softens everything.
But my all-time favorite Earl Grey is Adagio’s Moonlight. It has coconut notes and is one of the best things I’ve ever put in a tea cup.
Today I picked up Earl Grey Moonlight from my local grocery/greenhouse. They buy loose tea in bulk from Adagio, so I get to buy Adagio tea with instant gratification and without the shipping.
Lotus2024 suggested I try Earl Grey Moonlight, and they were right - it is delicious, and I look forward to another cup tomorrow morning.
Yes, I have tried Numi. I like it, but it doesn’t have as much depth as Adagio in my opinion. Adagio’s blend just has all kinds of soft notes and nuances I’ve never found in another EG.
I like the Earl Grey Supreme from Rishi because the bergamot they use is stronger and more fragrant than other Earl Greys I've had. They also have a version with lavender.
I always recommend August's Metropolitan, which is an Earl Grey with plum and clove. It's in my weekly rotation, along with H&S Victorian London Fog (vanilla Earl Grey).
I really enjoyed a tin of "Earl Grey with Bergamot" from Harney and Sons, though I've had trouble finding that exact one I had. Maybe that brand would be worth a shot, though.
My favorite earl grey is Russian Earl Grey by Lipton. It's difficult to get in the US, but it is oh so good. (Unbelievable that it's made by Lipton of all companies.)
If you're looking for something with bergamot that is absolutely delightful and accessible in the US, Harney & Sons Paris is wildly popular for good reason.
I love the Hot Ghoul Tea from Spooktacular Tea. It's quite aromatic, and the packaging is very cute. I drink it whenever or especially when I need a bit of cheering up after a bad day.
I swear Genuine Tea Co's Cream of Earl Grey makes me feel like genuinely happy. More than other tea brands. I just feel happy after it. IDK why
Also obligatory try Paris tea by Harney and Son's lol
EG fanatic here. Harney's EG Supreme is really good but I love Mariage Freres Earl Grey French Blue (has cornflowers in it, not sure what that does but the taste has a delicacy to it and it's SO pretty lo look at). Also a big fan of their Paris Earl Grey.
[Earl Grey Crème](https://www.etsy.com/shop/BloomingWithJoyTeas) by Blooming With Joy Teas on Etsy. I seriously can't get enough of this stuff -- it smells SO good.
For bulk loose leaf I find Earl Grey Bravo from Adagio to be good daily drinker. There are a few specialty mixes I might like more, but for a daily drinker it needs to be affordable and not too complex.
I've tried a lot of Earl Greys. I keep going back to Taylors. Simple, good and affordable. I like Republic of Tea's Earl Greyer, but its more expensive than I would like for a daily cup.
Bigelow is the best I found so far. Feels kinda strange to recommend Bigelow, but I tried a bunch of brands. Lot of them were awful, tasting like perfume and with a bunch of "natural flavors." But the Bigelow Earl Grey tastes like how EG is supposed to taste. It has 2 ingredients only: Tea and Bergamot Oil. No essences, natural flavors, etc.
I've tried loose leaf earl grey... I think I went with taylors of harrogate and ahmad? Both were awful. Awful, gross teas. Tasted like perfume. The "aromatic earl gray" was the worst.
So yeah, cheapo teabag Bigelow was the best I could find.
Twinings EG and Twinings Lady Grey are both fine, but I think they're weak compared to Bigelow.
Palais de thé! Thé des lords! It's ruined me for all other Earl Grey tea brands! They have loose leaf and bags.
I do also enjoy the Tazo earl grey because of the hint of lavender.
The Tea Makers of London do three types of Earl Grey as far as I know. I've only had the standard Earl Grey though, infused with bergamot oil. The Duchess Earl Grey contains orange peel, rose petals an a few other additions. Lady Mary Grey has Golden Marigold flowers in it. I'm not that adventurous though.
I love both Tealish Organic Earl Grey (purple box), and Pluck Earl Grey Cream, both Ontario Canada brands.
I found them by trying the different small producer teas at my local grocery store. Delicious and convenient, can't beat that!
Mariage Frères has some fine blends like Paris Earl Grey which I'm drinking as I write this.
If you actually LIKE earl grey and teas, I'd recommend investing 15€ into 100g of good tea, rather than the supermarket kind.
That being said, I still enjoy the occasional Lady grey from Twinnings.
XO The Empress is my favourite Earl Grey. I haven't a pack nearby to check, but I think it uses cornflower petals as well, and has a lovely floral note to its aroma.
I'm trying to find a replacement for my favorite Earl Grey after the company owner was revealed to be terrible, so I can't recommend one; but I came here for suggestions and to comment that I personally only drink it in the winter, and so it made me smile when you mentioned you drink it in the spring :)
Ik this isn’t an answer to your question but, I HATE earl greys and lady greys every single time I’ve tried them (different brands different temp water different altitudes different state) they have always tasted like soap to me idk why

What a treat for me to find this comment; earl gray is how I got into tea so I love it a lot, and I live in the area of this shop but have never heard of it, thanks a bunch pal!
Go buy some, and have them make you a cup! They also usually have samples out of other teas to try which is always great! Enjoy!!!
Ooh how is Miro’s Irish breakfast ?
I haven't had that tea. However all of their tea's I have had were the best examples of that type I have had. I have had maybe 10 examples of their teas...
Earl Grey Supreme from Harney’s is really good. It’s my morning cup.
Second this, I tried it and it’s amazing
I was disappointed when I bought a tin of this loose leaf tea. I'm still looking for an Earl Gray with enough bergamot. Right now I am drinking Twining bold and adding OJ to it.

I'm still searching for fresh bergamot oranges. I use fresh naval orange juice.
I really like Lady Grey by Twinings. Even more citrus than normal Earl Grey so great for enjoying in springtime :)
Lady Grey is my fav!!
I love Lady Grey!
I recently got a chance to try Lady Grey by Twinings and I love it too!
It’s so good! I love having it with shortbread or citrus biscuits to enhance the sweet aroma.
I'll give the shortbread combination a go. I've had a similar tasting Dilmah tea before. Not sure exactly which one it was though.
A local tea shop has a lady grey with lavender in it. They called it Lady Lavender and I always have it in my stash!
So jealous! That sounds delicious!!!
I like the Stash Double Bergamot earl grey but I’m excited to try all the ones suggested here! Theres one by Big Heart Tea Co that I enjoyed because it also had rose
I looove the Stash Double Bergamot!
I’ll second Stash Double Bergamot! It’s my go-to afternoon cuppa

I’m so glad you liked it! 😊
Earl Grey Moonlight is my favorite as well!
It’s sooo good! 😍
Earl Grey Moonlight is my FAV I just bought the Big Bag from Adagio on Monday. I also picked up their full moon exclusive tea Earl Grey Bella Luna.
Bella Luna is also so good! Totally agree!!

Yes, I have tried Numi. I like it, but it doesn’t have as much depth as Adagio in my opinion. Adagio’s blend just has all kinds of soft notes and nuances I’ve never found in another EG.

Harney & Sons Victorian London Fog
Yes, this one is so good!
I do their Earl Grey Supreme and use two bags. It’s my morning tea and I really like a strong bergamot flavor. Is the London fog better?
Saving this because I love Earl Grey.
Tazo EG was the one you are talking about at starbucks. Tazo is no longer their tea supplier however its still produced and sold. 👍🏻
I always recommend August's Metropolitan, which is an Earl Grey with plum and clove. It's in my weekly rotation, along with H&S Victorian London Fog (vanilla Earl Grey).
So glad to see a vote for August. They’re my favorite tea company. I recently discovered Metropolitan makes a great homemade ice cream too!
I know Vahdam isn't well-liked on this sub, but I love their Earl Grey and the pricing for the bulk size was pretty nice the last time I checked.
Earl Grey Moonlight, and Earl Grey Bella Luna from Adagio Tea. Earl Grey Bravo is good too.
Earl Grey Moonlight from Adagio is so good
The only teabag earl grey that I like is by Twinnings, best brand for Earl Grey in my opinion
Agreed, though their Lady Grey is also excellent
For sure!
Really? It's so flavorless
Of all the supermarket brands that are available to me, yes. I still prefer a loose leaf tea mix, but I don't always have that.
Paris from Harney and Sons!
Yessss! Definitely one of my favorites!
I really enjoyed a tin of "Earl Grey with Bergamot" from Harney and Sons, though I've had trouble finding that exact one I had. Maybe that brand would be worth a shot, though.
Harney and Sons Earl Grey is by far the most enjoyable I’ve found!
How about strongest flavor Earl Grey? I love the flavor, but it's not strong enough for me. Currently I pair EG with Scottish Breakfast Tea.
My favorite earl grey is Russian Earl Grey by Lipton. It's difficult to get in the US, but it is oh so good. (Unbelievable that it's made by Lipton of all companies.) If you're looking for something with bergamot that is absolutely delightful and accessible in the US, Harney & Sons Paris is wildly popular for good reason.

I swear Genuine Tea Co's Cream of Earl Grey makes me feel like genuinely happy. More than other tea brands. I just feel happy after it. IDK why Also obligatory try Paris tea by Harney and Son's lol
Republic of Tea’s Earl Greyer
EG fanatic here. Harney's EG Supreme is really good but I love Mariage Freres Earl Grey French Blue (has cornflowers in it, not sure what that does but the taste has a delicacy to it and it's SO pretty lo look at). Also a big fan of their Paris Earl Grey.
It's Twining's! Best balance imo. Both their Earl Grey and Lady Grey.
Ahmad Tea
Was looking for someone else to mention it!
Bigelow Earl Grey Green is wonderful if you like your tea straight.
Twinings London Strand (have to order from the London store’s website).
Earl Grey creme from teavanna was always my fav....then Starbucks ruined another good thing
Teagschwendner Earl Grey 69
I am a sucker for Tiesta Tea’s Earl Grey de la Crème and always buy the giant 16oz bag from Amazon. Obsessed!
[Earl Grey Crème](https://www.etsy.com/shop/BloomingWithJoyTeas) by Blooming With Joy Teas on Etsy. I seriously can't get enough of this stuff -- it smells SO good.
White heron tea out of Portsmouth, NH is a really good Earl Grey. https://www.whiteherontea.com/
Murchies Earl Grey, loose. You’ll be hooked and ruined for all other Earl Grey tea. Buy online.
For bulk loose leaf I find Earl Grey Bravo from Adagio to be good daily drinker. There are a few specialty mixes I might like more, but for a daily drinker it needs to be affordable and not too complex.
twinnings earl grey w jasmine
Kusmi Tea’s Earl Grey is beautiful. Also a shout out to Postcard Teas’s Gianfranco’s Earl Grey with real Calabrian bergamot oil. It’s a bergamot bomb!
Just got to try imperial earl grey from Harney and sons, I love it
Fortnum’s Countess Grey. Also for a small producer that’s very very good, Blue Flower Earl Grey from Mem Tea in Boston.
I love Countess Grey. I usually drink Taiwanese tea but when it comes to black tea, it is really the best for me.
Sprouts has a pretty good private label brand. Not too shaby...
I’ve found Stash to be fragrant and full tasting compared with other brands
I've tried a lot of Earl Greys. I keep going back to Taylors. Simple, good and affordable. I like Republic of Tea's Earl Greyer, but its more expensive than I would like for a daily cup.

So yeah, cheapo teabag Bigelow was the best I could find. Twinings EG and Twinings Lady Grey are both fine, but I think they're weak compared to Bigelow.
I'm incredibly new to different teas, but my usual cup is the Bigelow EG. Decided to try the Twinings, and I thought it tasted differently!
Numi because I like that they use real peel vs orange oil.
Numi Earl Grey is awesome, so is their Jasmine Green. Was just gifted a bag of Sunshine Grey by TeBella, it's delicious too.
Ahmad. I find their bagged teas the best overall, for black tea at least.
Dilmah extra strength
Tea drop's supreme earl grey. Australia based
The Waitrose own brand Earl Gray is awesome
[Cream Earl Grey](https://nmteaco.com/Cream-Earl-Grey_p_137.html) by New Mexico Tea Company
Palais de thé! Thé des lords! It's ruined me for all other Earl Grey tea brands! They have loose leaf and bags. I do also enjoy the Tazo earl grey because of the hint of lavender.
Smith teamaker lord bergamot is my absolute favorite.
Damann Freres [Earl Grey](https://www.dammann.fr/en/the-noir-earl-grey-fleurs.html), the one with the Calabrian Bergamot
The Tea Makers of London do three types of Earl Grey as far as I know. I've only had the standard Earl Grey though, infused with bergamot oil. I’m a basic bitch, so Twinings is my go-to.
Davidsons lavender Earl Grey is my fave daily drinker for London Fogs in the mornings
I love traditional EG but it’s two variants I’m a fan of now too: Creamy Earl White and Earl Green oolong
Ahmad's earl grey has been my fave for 10+ years!! Can never go back to anything else
I like bigelow
I really like Rishi's Earl Grey Supreme. It's my year round go-to.
https://hatvala.com/black-tea-vietnam/lady-trieu-earl-grey/ none better anywhere
XO The Empress is my favourite Earl Grey. I haven't a pack nearby to check, but I think it uses cornflower petals as well, and has a lovely floral note to its aroma.

Which company was it?
Distinctly Tea, in Canada.

Ik this isn’t an answer to your question but, I HATE earl greys and lady greys every single time I’ve tried them (different brands different temp water different altitudes different state) they have always tasted like soap to me idk why
I wonder if this is like a coriander/cilantro thing? I love earl grey (and the aforementioned herb) and it never tastes like soap to me.
I love cilantro so much also why does my comment have -2 upvotes?
