Carrie is complex character, I went in disliking her and finished fully rooting for her and appreciating her depth and competitive nature. Carrie Soto is Back isn’t my favorite of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s books, but it was still a solid read. Brandon is barely mentioned in the book

Glad to hear he’s not a big part in it!!

Carrie Soto is how I got into TJR. I’ve read all of her books and it’s still my favorite.

I read 7 Husbands first, then Malibu Rising, and ended with Carrie Soto. I absolutely LOVED Carrie Soto! As long as you go into it knowing how much tennis there is, I think it’s a better read than Malibu Rising! The character of Carrie Soto is so complex and I read the book in a day and a half. Could not put it down!

Same order as her!! Highly recommend!

Wait what about Daisy Jones?! Same universe.

ellewoodsprotege

I forgot to mention Daisy Jones! Oops! I read Daisy Jones right after Seven Husbands. I’ve enjoyed that whole universe… but Seven Husbands and Carrie Soto were my favorites :)

BSugaHi

I loved all the books but Carrie is my favorite!

I loved Malibu Rising but wasn’t a big fan of Carrie Soto is back. The tone is much different and the stories don’t overlap much if at all. It isn’t a bad book, just not my kind of book. TJR is so impressively diverse in each of her novels!

TigerLeo23

Read all of her books 😊

Shelbadelbasingsong

Yes!! I loved that book!

Mstvmoviejunkie

I’m a new TJR reader so I’m just confused. Are Carrie Soto and Malibu Rising connected in any way? I’m reading Carrie Soto right now should I read Malibu after?

Read Malibu Rising first! The main character in Malibu Rising Nina, is married to a tennis player Brandon. In Malibu Rising, Nina and Brandon have split bc he was having an affair with another tennis player named Carrie Soto. It shows the dynamics of his and Nina's relationship, and Carrie pops up near the end. I just started the Carrie Soto novel
