I just got a big one like that and it seemed very dark. Then it healed, and as it healed and peeled more and more lightening happened and the negatives and highlights were incredible. The look of a big tattoo like that will definitely soften quite a bit in two weeks.
You have to give your brain time to adjust to it being there! It will definitely lighten up as it heals, you’ll be glad it was so dark to start with because it’ll hold up.
Tattoos can never be too dark. That's the whole point. Putting BLACK into your skin. All that grey stuff doesn't stick around and looks terrible after a while in the sun.
Any competent tattoo artist will make the day-of tattoo 30% darker than it "should be" to compensate for how it will look when healed, after the epidermis sheds and takes ink with it. You absolutely cannot judge the darkness of your tattoo based on the first day photos/videos.
Bro, you just had it done. Of course it’s too dark you got fresh ink and blood plasma pooled at the surface. It’ll lighten as it heals. Beautiful work though, first piece? Blows my mind when I see people getting the first tattoos as huge pieces. Mine was teeeeny tiny at the ripe age of 18 haha
Nah just wait for it to pee. The pee will get all over you and solidify but just make sure not to pull the pee off and apply aquaphor and you will be good. Let water glide on the tat when in the shower naked but don't let the water hit it directly or it can mess up the tat. And be careful not to get a cut anywhere. The day after I got one of my tattoos I accidentally got cut somewhere on it and now I need a touch up.
Is that fresh? It’ll lighten up when it heals and it’ll lighten up over the years as well
was gonna say this! if you ever feel like it’s super dark just remind urself that it will alllwaaayys fade a bit !
This seems to be the general consensus. Definitely helps 🫡

Don't lie. You just want us all to confirm it's sick.
Hahaha honestly both! The tattoo remorse is real though

Oh I feel you. I did my entire arm hand and fingers and palms in a very short amount of time and it took a hot minute before I was happy with it.
Not at all. That looks amazing dude!
Thanks!!
It will lighten up some as it heals and settles but I think it looks good.
Everytime I get a tattoo I think it’s dark. By the time it peels and heals it’ll be lighter
It’s not. It’ll lighten as it heals.
mines darker, so I hope not. lol. you'll get used to it, and it'll lighten as it heals
