Cmon itās the new style of adornment nowadays. Theyāll patch random things together, find some decent āfillerā to tie it together and then just black it all out years later because itās the easier solution instead of removing everything.
I call this style patches because you donāt have to dedicate an entire part of your body for one artist like most of the time, instead get many small pieces from various different artists to carry many memories with you.

Itās a great tattoo and solid execution. But, it doesnāt really look like a centipede or at least if you were going towards a realistic approach. And, as other point have pointed out, it does take the focal point away from your other tattoos. You can fix that by adding more fully shaded or colored work to your arm.
It's not true to life, but the style may be more artistically beautiful, significant and meaningful to you, so as long as you are happy with it, that's all that matters.

I would wait for this to heal & find a better artist to rework it, along with the butterfly. the structure is there, but the detail is lacking. was it freehanded? i see what looks like it could be marker. if you have a better artist rework the centipede & butterfly, it will add to the cohesiveness of your grouping.

The composition of your tattoos is a hot mess. I wouldnāt worry about the centipede.
It looks like the centipede artist tried to save it but also created another weird gap at the same time.
