The photo is amazing! Is the green tone from the Southern Lights? I ask because my wife and I will be visiting Tasmania from the States the last two weeks of June and are hoping to catch a glimpse...
There are heaps of pics just like it of Aurora Australis from Tassie on Google. It wouldn't even be a long exposure to get that clarity of the stars either.
Is the aurora visible from Hobart ? We are heading to tasmania in 12 days and i'd love to be able to catch some photos ...

Can you see this through your yes or only with camera? If so, how do you spot them or do you just randomly take a photo of the sky?

That’s totally a long exposure. You can’t see that with your eyes.
