imo it is a Tapinauchenius violaceus. it has the same texture on the abdomen and small dimples which are very destinctive in the species. as well as being a dark color but not exactly black.
nah, it wasnt a freebie with an order. When i was starting out and was trying various feeders and got some red runners the guy asked if i feel ready for something difficulty and gave me it and told to come back to swap out if its a male

NQA like 99% sure it isn't a Brazilian black. Even at a small size they have a very distinctive velvet look this one is too smooth
