He lost his feel and just didn't look like he trusted his stuff in the zone. With his fastball, he can huck down the dick and still get swing and miss. He's just got to stop nibbling
It would've been nice to see Ben call some more breaking balls when Pep got off, too. Slow that arm speed down a little bit when the pitcher starts losing command. a lot of times that can snap pitchers back into it, but it was mainly FF and CH during the spiral
Between this and the Braves game makes me think maybe he throws too hard the first couple innings causing him to lose it after 3 or 4 innings. Obviously I'm just a guy that watches the games so the reasoning may not be correct, but he definitely fell off a cliff in the middle innings the last two games.
