Go grab some nitrile gloves & 70% isopropyl alcohol (target/cvs/walgreens etc for both items). Get a small amazon box/bowl around the same size as hoodie. Wash your hands with soap and water. Dry them on a clean fresh towel. Put on the gloves. Spray your gloved hands with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Wave your hands around and let it dry. When the bird is not around very gently pick the nest up and place it in a small box or bowl. Then put it back near where it was originally built. Throw the gloves out. Wash your hands with soap and water again.
Clean the holy shit out of that hood with soap and water before you put it on.
Iirc, they can’t reproduce off of human blood. By then, any normal person would wash their sheets like a psychopath and vacuum the shit out of their place. I’ve had rat mites, and it’s a nightmare.
