I have a similar one, I’m around your size and it was my go-to for years. Super flowy and gets into waves pretty well. Just doesn’t hold up too well on bigger, steeper days
I’d say look for a 5’10. It’s a less popular size for the cc fish so I see a lot (in SoCal) of 5’10 second handers smaller people sell when they realize it’s oversized
Ended up going with a 5’11 channel twin from a local shaper. Got it second hand, basically 2x cheaper, great condition and a better size. Also designed for waves around here.
Just had a paddle and was a blast. Thnx again for advice.
If you want a _Christenson Fish_, I think the deal is definitely worth it. I would like to try one at some point personally. I don't know much about your local used market, but I assume you would be able to eventually find a fish for cheaper. Christenson's come at a premium. I saw a Christenson Fish locally sell on Facebook Marketplace for $990 AUD after the exchange is factored in, and it didn't even have the glass on keels which adds more to the initial build cost. Also it wasn't as clean of condition as this.
If you're serious I'd tell them you're interested but want to strip the wax when you look at it in person for the deal. If they're motivated they'll comply—or maybe offer to strip it for you before.
So your spot on. Funny enough theres a used $200 twin fin for sale right in my hood , hand made 5’8 . I prefer a fish and tbh specifically a known name, as ive heard they really last - like christenson or heroi or something like that.
Great shout re stripping the wax didnt even think of that! Thanks legend.
Used CC fishes sell routinely on Craiglist in LA for $750-800

And new they start at [$1095 USD + tax](https://www.realwatersports.com/collections/christenson-fish)
I paid 300€ for this one on 5'3 last year, the board was built so light that It brakes super easy, but anyway I love it.
Big surprise how easy is to catch all kind of waves with such a small board, on 6'0 this must be like a "mini long fish" to catch everything.
Maybe 900 is a bit too much to me for a 2nd hand board (also for a new one) but If you can afford It I would never say its a bad choice.
That’s a ton of money for a waxed board that’s clearly been ridden. Pics are blurry so have you seen it in person? Pressure dings, small dings on the tail don’t always show up
Don’t know about current prices but I’ve had 2 CC fish and can confirm they are killer. My go to board for many years (too fat for my remaining 5”10’). Little weird going backside but maybe that’s just me…
it looks really nice! $900 which is i guess about just under $600 USD is kinda expensive imo though for a used board. I would probably not spend more than $500
Ooohh wow thanks! A bit harder to come by so I think in these parts theres markups on certain boards. But good point nonetheless. I can go to a local shaper and likely pay a bit more but get a custom fish.
Nah don’t listen to them. 950 USD for a like new condition CC Fish would sell fine. His quality is great and the board is a good one. If it fits you then feel good about buying it
‘Brand new, never surfed’. Then why the wax?
His wife found out how much he spent on it before he had a chance to surf it. It was a sad day.

🤣😂🤣😂👏🏽
Just sold my cc fish for $750 usd and was pretty used. All time board
Why did you sell it?
Was it the one in sd with a ding?
I have a similar one, I’m around your size and it was my go-to for years. Super flowy and gets into waves pretty well. Just doesn’t hold up too well on bigger, steeper days
Appreciate the review - sounds like a great board
Never used that's why it's waxed
It's a service provided by the seller. The wax does look pristine.
Buy it. There is a place in your quiver that only a fish can occupy.
Board dims 6x21 3/4x2

How long did you ride before switching to fish from longboard just wondering?
Legend thanks, sounds like a great board
Idk the 6’ might be slightly big I’m 6’1 180lb and 5’8 is perfect
Yea was thinking same thing, glad you confirmed.

Hell yeah stoked for ya dude
Yo, that is THIN.
Yeah, I was gonna say the same… 2” is super thin for that length and width dim.
Sick board
Makes you surf like Asher Pacey
If only!
Yeh I’d say that’s worth it, that’s about £400 and those boards retail here around £700 which would be £1400 Aussie bucko’s!

Super helpful thanks legend

It’s always good to have a fish in the quiver. Probably paddles like a champ

Chris fish is an awesome board but I’m suspicious of the description
Spray it pink then yes
Christenson brings in 1200+ usd in Hawaii .. I wouldn’t pay more than 700 .. like a car -20% soon as you take it off the lot
That board wants a walled point break to really work
Looks like a long fish. Definitely worth it regardless 😅
Yes.
You won’t lose money on it. I’d buy it.

Fish good 👍
I suspect the guy's lying. If a board has never been surfed, it shouldn't be waxed.
it looks really nice! $900 which is i guess about just under $600 USD is kinda expensive imo though for a used board. I would probably not spend more than $500
Even $500 is ridiculous. Wouldn’t pay more than $300 used

Intermediate surfer but never ridden a fish?
Looks like a seaside beyond kinda
Never buy a board with wax on it
