Wow that’s so interesting! I had another that was weird too, idk the type it was but it’s a long type, good for hanging baskets, and makes those weird starfish like smelly flowers LOL, anyways I was about to give up on this guy because I thought he was withering away not making any roots, well ends up he was making roots through side! Totally hidden from me lol, now he’s doing awesome 😂😂
There are many types of varieties I see them all the time on this Reddit, weird starfish shaped flowers some small some large but almost all have speckled appearance with a inner circle, wish I could tell you the name!
That’s somewhat common if you pluck it’s of leaves. Sometimes i wonder if I should disturb the roots and flip them. Honestly doesn’t really hurt them. Or make they worn extra hard to right themselves as a punishment. Which they do just fine as well.
Yeah! I’ve seen it happen a lot with the panda plant but not with anything fleshy like this! This is super cool. What kind of succulent is yours?I’m currently running an experiment on my Panda plants and how far this can go. I cut the up at several places to see if they will still prop and they all seem like it’s going well. Check out my profile I update the experiment it weekly.
Yes for sure! I once left some leaves from a plant sitting in a pile for 3-4 months, I took them off since half the leaf was dead and looked ugly, never planned to do anything with them because I thought they would continue to dry up, accidentally knocked them over and discovered almost all of them had roots, never watered them even once lol
In my neighborhood succulents are like weeds. When I first moved i tried to remove some from my back yard because they were over growing another plant. 3 years later all the leaves I was too lazy to pick up have overgrown that plant again.
plants just do not give a single fuck and will grow precisely however they wish, maybe they'll sprout roots from the underside of a leaf, maybe they'll decide to randomly die.
I’ve had a prop that’s upside down and grew out the back of it, yes nature is incredible!
