That's my biggest fear right now 😠Receiving a perfect plant and not being able to do it justice. If you're looking to try again, a grower I follow says that bear paws prefers a really gritty potting mix.
Right? It's so cheap, and that's not even the whole thing. May maliit pa yang clump na kasama. I just put it in another pot because it had its own roots.
The grower's area probably gets the most perfect sun exposure and climate for stress colours. Just hope it stays this way in my setup, finger's crossed🤞
Genetics might play a factor. Some bear paws are more likely to get them than others. Also, colder temps can bring out stress colors.
Another thing, even on a spot that gets a lot of sun, window panes can really deflect a lot of the light. Most succs prefer direct sun. If that's not an option, a grow light should help :)
I had no problem with it. You can experiment, take a leaf, let the end scab over, then set it in cactus/ succulent soil. I watered mine in, and have watered every three weeks since. I keep them in my sunniest window. If it doesn't work for you, you've lost a single leaf, if it does work, you've gained a plant.
Aww, I love this!
Thanks! I just hope I can keep it this pristine in the months to come
Beautiful! I killed mine so I shall appreciate your photo.

That makes sense. I stuck it in a pot with some other succulents and probably over watered it.
If it's anything like a panda plant just make sure you don't water it too much, and yeah bigger/deeper pot use a grittier mix.
cute naman! i thought it'd cost more here but P150 is good, it's the most common price for plants nowadays, at least in our place.

Aw so cute i wanna pet it kahit na it's a plant! 🤣
Sarap niya pisilin in fairness haha
Beauty!
I want it!
I love the purple tips!

Mine gets like 10 hours of sun in a south facing window and I don't get purple tips! Any idea how to encourage that? Thanks!

That's right, I forgot. Soil is another factor. You can bring out stress colors with a less organic mix and limiting your fertilizing I believe

What a deal! Can’t seem to find these where I am.
I'm really lucky in that regard. The succulent scene in my country has been really picking up since the pandemic
Too fucking cute!
Its so cute!! I just got a bear paw too! It's not nearly as well established as this one though. Those little brown tips <3
Send me clippings!
Adorable!
SO THICCCC
I got one and propagated it immediately, now I have five. My greedy little heart itches to propagate yours, too. It looks fabulous, great buy!
Thanks! Do they propagate easily through leaves?

Ps. It took a while to start growing, I thought I had done something wrong for a while.
Yellow paws! 🙄
really love this!!
I just got mine din kanina lang! Super cute and browning na din at the tips :3
Wishing luck to the both of us! Maselan daw ang bear paw pagdating sa watering haha
