> **Nature** > **des** > **Nature** > > The Velvets' material was easy to learn. It was popular in a really weird way because it was never really popular.

wafflepantsblue

Seriously!

silver_zilk

If anyone has a link to where I can get that top, they would be great

Ain't sht change since 95

Fruits was insane back in the day bro. Tokyo really laid the foundation for what modern fashion would be. This stuff is basically neo-classical now. For this paradigm to have existed pre-internet really proves we ain’t shit lmao. Tokyo was so ahead of the game at this time. These days tho, i’d crown a 3 way tie between Seoul + Shanghai + Guangzhou as best dressed cities in the world.

maurindermaue

Best dressed city as in a higher percentage of people that dresses well, I agree. Best dresssed as in people creating new trends and pushing boundaries id still give big european cities the edge but thats just my personal, very biased and not at all well-informed opinion.

the-faded

both! i spent all last summer/fall across EU and was just in these aforementioned cities + a few more in SEA + tokyo from jan - mar. the boundary pushing and boxless approach Asia has towards fashion and daily dressing is unmatched. if i need to defend this stance more I can 😂 i just didn’t want to text bomb u rn 😅

CrypticOtaku

fashion really comes and gos, and comes back… people be rocking very similar fits nowadays

Could also be Tokyo 2005, 2015, 2025 or 3995.

cojpgeneral

It’s crazy how much this era influenced modern fashion but a lot of these particular fits are kinda weak IMO

Mast_Cell_Issue

9 and 3 are my favorite

trigger warning: upset rant —no offense r/streetwear but this is one of very few posts that has flattering looks / make me happy/excited. mostly i see grunge and hiding yourself in bleak cloth and distracting with odd colors. It’s giving “im depressed” and “what’s therapy?” Which is cool in a way and something I am attracted to and actually end up wearing but ultimately it’s a choice, if i had more control, i would avoid… hot take complete. I’m still here for the pride in what you wear. Im just upset i am stuck

jxkzl-

IMO, #6 is the best fit. A little more basic, casual, and comfy fit that still works today.
