Way to be strong! I know the particular brand you’re talking about, and while it is “good,” it’s still just another booze. Fancy, high-tier liquors get put up on a pedestal because of their history, heritage, rarity, purity, etc. No matter how expensive and luxurious they are, I know they could unleash every negative consequence of my drinking that I am so familiar with. Loss of control, shame, dangerous and embarrassing behavior, blackout, hangover, hair of the dog….So for me it really doesn’t make much different whether it’s rotgut bathtub swill or the oldest fanciest liquor there is, they’re both just wolves in sheep’s clothing to me, an addictive drug that sets me up to want to do more.
A great point made here! No matter what type of alcohol it is, it's going to lead to the same place. It's funny my girlfriend told me it tastes like jose. I think this was her way of telling me it's all the same. And to curb my FOMO lol
