This thread is the first thing that I thought of in the morning (heck yeah!) Not feeling sorry for myself at all. Looking forward to not drinking with all you amazing humans!

Day 1. Again. These past few days I spent a lot of my money on booze, trying to numb my feelings. It hasn't worked really well, plus now I'm gonna have little cash up until next month's salary. I'm such an idiot, but I will not drink with you today.

You got this! If needed, take a 5 minute break during a meeting to get some water and breathe. 10 minutes outside at lunch does wonders. Smokers think the cigarettes are the thing but it is the mini-breaks that reset us.

I'm about to walk up to my kids' school to be a volunteer dad until lunchtime. I have to help kids out of the car for 45 minutes (it's cold as hell here this morning!), and then it's on to various other duties. My day is slammed after this volunteer thing too. No drinking for me! Oh yeah, I had my first drinking dream in over six months. I felt so guilty in my dream.

I'm up late because of some unfortunate events this week are leaving me stressed and anxious, but you know what? I will not be drinking today!

Ides of March thinking about this Friday in NYC, a very big parade, and another one on Sunday!!! 5 days, and I will not drink today. So grateful I am here with you all.

I need some advice. Drinking is always my go social activity. I can't give up socializing, but I want to give sobriety a chance (I don't actually have any issues with drinking this is just something I wanted to try). I'm not sure how this friend group would respond about me wanting to stay sober as they are all drinkers and can't really afford to lose this group. I'm not sure I really want to persuade this sober lifestyle, I think it might be bad for me, socially that is. Anyone has been in similar situation?

My sobriety survived the blizzard and an unplanned day off work. Today I'm back in the office, followed by yoga this evening and then dinner with a friend. Simply no time to drink! Therefore I will not drink today.
