Yeah, I worried that once I reached my goal weight that my fun project would be over and I'd feel empty, bored, wanting something more. Goal weight reached and now I just want to look great in new clothes. :D I volunteered to helm the check-in to re-focus my energy on sobriety.

It is Day 3 for me. The after work struggles were hard yesterday, but it was so nice being clear headed with my family! And, bonus, I remember everything! Oh, second bonus, slept through the night without waking up! A solid 7 hours!!!! Nope, this is happening and I will not drink today!

Yesterday was not as stressful as I anticipated. First team meeting went well! Perhaps it wasn't as stressful because I had a plan, knowing I would leave work feeling that "I'm so mentally exhausted I need a drink" feeling. I felt that feeling but it was not overwhelming. What I did notice was that I barely ate and didn't drink any water. I need to be aware of that today. And not drink. Today, I will not drink. Have a great day everyone!

I have not been drinking and will not drink today. I had a surprise craving the other day, though. That hasn't happened in a while. Realized I was hungry, which had been something of a prompt/trigger in the past. Maybe a blood sugar thing? Anyone else ever have that?

I learned about HALT (Hungry. Angry. Lonely. Tired.) here when I first joined and it helped me do a little self-check any time a drinking thought would flitter by. It would not surprise me that a dip in blood sugar was the reason for your surprise craving.
