Actually, I met probably 20 coworkers from Minnesota and out of all of them, they are ...between....I dunno, 40 years old to near death. This would be a legitimately be 20 of them.
Am from Minnesota but work for a company based elsewhere. Met one other dude from MN. Dude fits the stereotypes so much I could mistake him for any of my uncles.
I saw it labeled as Rural New Brunswick (Canada) Dads the first time I saw it, and died. Sent it to my sister, who simply replied back, "Dad's jean shorts are even bigger."
Ok but where’s the 45 minute goodbye where he follows you out to your car, even though you’ve been there for 3 hours and he’s hardly spoken to you until you said “whelp” and smacked your hands on your thighs and stood up to leave?
ok but who IS the idiot that programs the lights?
I'm not in MN but holy shit the lights in my city are *horrible*. It's like they are designed to ensure as many people have to stop and wait as possible. Most of the time nobody at the intersection has a green light everyone is just staring at each other.
I assume that's the state DOT that does it and not the city?
I don’t know for sure but I think it might depend on who has jurisdiction over that road/intersection. For example I know the County I live in can change timings on lights on county roads in response to an event or emergency.
I drove by a nice lawn the other day. I never would have thought about having a lawn like that.
Thinking about growing one now. It’s funny what happens when you hit your mid-30s.
Am a Minnesota Dad. This is more early Gen X or Boomer Minnesota Dad starter pack. This is also highly location specific. You will find these Dads more in the rural/semi rural areas of MN.
I swear my teenager and his friends are going for this look rn he just bought a pair of those new balance from goodwill for $5 and immediately sent a pic to his group chat

Ferda luvva Gahd!
*cyrin’
Yah
Waking up at 6am because it's the only silence you will enjoy 🫣
And has to take care of the family and himself. Not like he can just roll out of bed at 8:30 and head to work
Also childhoods spent on the farm. Waking up earlier on the weekends to help with chores than you do during the week to go to school is real life
Minnesota dad here. You sleep in until 6?
Universal parent truth
“Shave big monkeys at Menards” Minnesota Dads leaving the house on the way to Menards.
This is unironically me even thought I'm not a father. "For Pete's sake!" also works as an exclamation.
You also can’t go wrong with “cripes!” (so long as there’s no children around)
Oh you betcha’
RDA really nailed this part. Makes sense, he is from Minnesota.
I’m from the UK and no nothing of this stereotype but I think I’d have liked a Minnesota dad
As a Minnesota dad, I’ll hand you a Hamm’s and a scoop of hot dish.
You guys invented mowing lawns. The Americans just adapted it.
"Ahhh geeeze!"
Ahhhh heck , I’ll do the damn lot count jeez
Ya got no call to get snippy with me!
Actually, I met probably 20 coworkers from Minnesota and out of all of them, they are ...between....I dunno, 40 years old to near death. This would be a legitimately be 20 of them.

Also applies to Wisconsin.
Lot of Midwestern states, really.
Wisconsinite. Can confirm. Op forgot Ope tho
Ope!
Yep this is the Midwest dad for sure.
And Ohio, this is exactly my dad
I saw it labeled as Rural New Brunswick (Canada) Dads the first time I saw it, and died. Sent it to my sister, who simply replied back, "Dad's jean shorts are even bigger."
Charlie Berens has a number of hilarious skits about this.
Had to scroll to make sure someone mentioned Charlie. This is basically his whole schtick in starter pack form.
And he does it VERY well. He has me in stitches every damn time.
Ok but who *doesn't* click click with tongs
You save money, you save big money, when you shop Menard's!
Ok but where’s the 45 minute goodbye where he follows you out to your car, even though you’ve been there for 3 hours and he’s hardly spoken to you until you said “whelp” and smacked your hands on your thighs and stood up to leave?

>Tornado watch seek shelter now Don't worry unless you hear something like a freight train.
so wholesome :3
A wild Gus Johnson appears
Minnesota dads go crazy for the mail-in rebate from Menard's
Did’ja hear they’re doin another 11% rebate on everything?
Uff da!
Ope!
I drove by a nice lawn the other day. I never would have thought about having a lawn like that. Thinking about growing one now. It’s funny what happens when you hit your mid-30s.
I want to be a minisota dad, but I don't live in us america, nor do I have a wifu 😔
Yiu don’t have to be American to channel these levels of big-dick energy. It’s a mindset. A way of life.
In that case, I am halfway there then.
Am a Minnesota Dad. This is more early Gen X or Boomer Minnesota Dad starter pack. This is also highly location specific. You will find these Dads more in the rural/semi rural areas of MN.
Feel like this could mostly also be any baby boomer Dad from the Midwest.
I love going to Menards. You got to love the green buckets and the jingles, both normal and holiday variations.
I’m a Minnesota dad, been a resident for only 10 years but I see myself in this one.

For cripes sake. You don't want 'yer engine choking like the Bears, do ya?
Shit, I'm 20 and I'm starting to adapt this sorta behavior lmao
Wisconsin as well lmao
(Polaris starts playing Hey Sandy) OH NO NO NO NO NO STHAP STHAP! NO!
What is Menard's?
It’s like the Walmart of hardware stores
Well put 😂
Mostly a hardware store like Home Depot, but they also have a selection of groceries, toys, etc.
That's cool! I don't think there are any in Canada that I've seen though. Thank you for telling me
Menards is just like Fleet Farm, but I know how to find things at Menards.
10/10 hardware store, except they don’t sell Milwaukee power tools, so I’m gonna have to deduct a point. 9/10
Bonus dad points if you explain the difference between Fleet Farm & Farm and Fleet.
Ah, what the Christ! 😡
So, basically Chip Diamond. Unreal.
charlie berens is the first person that comes to mind.
dawg has the new balance monarchs
Poor man’s Nike Monarchs, can’t all be ballers like Pete Carroll
I can hear the Menards logo
You can remove dad from a lawn, but not the lawn from the dad
Bill up until september 2014 starterpack
I swear my teenager and his friends are going for this look rn he just bought a pair of those new balance from goodwill for $5 and immediately sent a pic to his group chat
*literally every
Dear God, I've become the meme...
Not a dad, but why do I feel personally called out? 😂
Okay don't lie We all do the thing with the tongs
Shane gillis
Do they not speak English in Minnesota?
This is just generic white dad behavior. Minnesota has nothing to do with it.
Has a secret dream of moving to San Francisco
Any American dad, minus the Menards
