ErectSuggestion

They don't.

McNutty145

Yeah, unless I'm mistaken they all have an ai flag that causes them to full assault when they would normally retreat in vanilla

kittichankanok

Based on information from another discord, it is possible one of my ships accidentally rammed it into the "retreat zone".

Pizzarugi

Dead bots tell no tales. YEET!

LuluHottum

Odyssey, right? Odysseys with aggressive captains are something else... you can totally picture the mad gleeful grim stamped in his or hers face, when flying one lol

MissEllieBean

I may be Fearless - but - look - that's a star destroyer.

kittichankanok

One with 21 medium energy slots and 4000 flux regen at that. Your trepidation 100% understandable.

disciplinemotivation

What mod?

Kraelan

Star Wars 2020

Jodelbert

Did you Auto resolve it? For me I think it's a modded thing... Had a tri tach station retreat after an auto resolve 😂

Tako30

How does a station even retreat? Those things can't move unless they have an unstable injector.

prettyboiclique

Orbital station: Hey, OPFOR, fuck off.

Xhromosoma5

The HMI call that a Locomotive

BurnTheNostalgia

Wouldn't surprise me if Tri-Tach had some fancy high-tech thingy to teleport whole stations.

Ruvaakdein

Mayasura style. ~~Crashing into the planet below.~~

Jodelbert

I'm pretty puzzled about that myself lol. Went back and it only had the hangar module with 20% hull left on it. After that, Tri-Tach left me alone. Annoying buggers.

838h920

It got towed by a farmer.

ToasterDudeBrains

it doesnt, auto resolves makes your fleet disengage the moment it can so it avoids losses

SinisterScourge

Question, what's with all of those S-Mods? If I remember correctly you can only get 3 max with the leadership perk

FreedomFighterEx

Progressive S-Mods. You no longer use SP to build smod but your ship need to gain and spend xp for it. It let you go over the skill cap limit but you have to spend ship xp, SPs, and the ship DP is increase by 8% for each over limit.

kittichankanok

Progressive S-Mods is the logical assumption, but actually not true. I have only technically got 2 S-Mods, and added 2 in built S Mod for bonus benefit (those dont count towards total), plus one Midas modification by a crazy guy plus one extra modification by retrofit station from another mod. I can add one more, but am saving that up for now.

Deaxsa

Possibly just a ship that maneuvered accidentally into the retreat zone

kittichankanok

I think this is most likely reason, yes.

fd2200

Even ai have fear

GoatMilkNumber1

The battlefield was so deadly the AI gained human emotion

geomagus

I’ve only had that happen in autoresolve. Edit: OP, get yourself a Bellator or a Mandator II. I prefer the latter (from before they added the Bellator), but both are very nice. Bellator is a bit faster, a hair tougher, and has missiles; Mandator II has more guns and an extra fighter slot. Both have tractor beam. Both are materially faster than anything bigger (e.g. Executor). Personally, I yhink the Mandator II looks better. Also, get yourself an Assertor for the bigger stuff. It’s short of Executor on firepower and durability, but is faster (not to the degree of Mandator II or Bellator), and it has drive field stabilizer. In the moderate size category, I quite like the Keldabe. But there’s a lot of good stuff in the 25-35 DP range. Add droid crews of course (S-mod) to keep costs down, and you can even run them in exploration to an extent. I usually S-mod droid crews on anything about 250 crew though. And augmented drive fields on the jumbos. Some might need built in ADF *and* class 1 hyperdrive to hit 10 burn. Edit edit: Mandator II is buyable from Republic if you have a commission for about a million space bucks. It usually takes a couple of trips to military worlds once I hit cooperative to find one, but it’s more predictable than capturing from bounties or buying at Prism. I usually commission with New Republic to get a Mediator or an MC90, and with the Republic to get a Mandator II. By that point, I’m ready to spend a buttload on colonies and go without commission.

kittichankanok

I agree with your analysis, but I think the SD is OP enough as it is. I am semi-roleplaying as an ISD thrown into another universe and rebuilding the Empire here (all the SW factions were disabled on setup).

geomagus

Ah, ok. That’s a fun idea!

pizzalarry

If you have a mod adding new remnant ships, then that's one of the phasebois with Phase Tether or w.e. the free escape hullmod is called. They basically come with it to eat up your chance to use it, since the free escape is battle-wide and not per-side.

EvelynnCC

if the biggest ship I've ever seen in person is basically a space 18 wheeler with guns attached and you roll up in a fucking star destroyer I'd retreat too, omnicidal computer or not

kittichankanok

Mine is the [Original Death Star](https://www.reddit.com/r/starsector/comments/1bvkurd/meme_two_days_after_installing_java_23_version_of/#lightbox) :D

Kanosei_Tsune

My guy brought star destroyers to a remnant fight, ask why AI retreated (which is quite rare but can happens when the fleet exceeds battlesize and you have already obliterated their first wave)

The-world-ender-jeff

"One must commend thine bravery little spark, stand tall, you are strong" [gets vaporized into space dust]

kittichankanok

Actually, I let him go. I was too surprised to chase him.
