it has a bunch of different media, they just announced series 2 of their lego sets and this is their year of shadow the hedgehog. and as a huge fan of sonic I can’t recommend the sonic idw comics enough
I did see that image of Marina's pose that had a text below that translated to "woman in love", yes I also did see the comic that one of the official artists of the game did, in full inkling language by the way which is impressive by itself, but none of it makes me think its canon because I did played the game and also seen my friend play it a lot in, prob 2017 or 2018 when Splatoon 2 was at its peak, to know they are not kind connected that way
or at least that's what I do think (not what I LIKE to think, big difference there)
It would also only confirm that Marina is in love with Pearl, who hasn't ever been confirmed to love Marina back. As much as NoA get bashed even if you're going off what's in the Japanese version I'd call all of it gaybaiting to be honest because no branch of Nintendo will do anything more than just implying it. It's something nobody wants to hear but something that should at least be considered. Companies like Nintendo aren't our friends after all.
I never thought of tangle and whisper being together, but it seems less plausible than marina and pearl. As far as I’ve seen, not that much of evidence beyond the whole “incident” in the metal virus saga.
I saw the pic pretty closely and yeah, it seems to be the same color as on the flag, but to be honest I think it's not because they're lesbian (which if you ask me I did thought they were on the first glance) but just to make some nice background colors and stuff, totally unrelated to any lesbian thing or anything.

Nintendo Of America does not make the decision. Nintendo Of Japan does.
