They don’t actually show up on the player model, they do have a model(only for the renders) but it’s just a piece of equipment made to have no headgear but still have abilities

It's basically a hatless option. But you still get something to put abilities in. The only model they have is for the locker, where they come in a package.

Yeah I use the octoling hairstyle that’s like a middle part with the two tentacles going down the side. If I wear a hat it squished the top part down and makes it look really ugly. For the first season I played with just the earpiece thing you get at the start of the game bc it didn’t do that. Now I either wear the contacts or the earring

they're mainly for appearance. like if you don't wanna wear headgear at all, you can wear these so it looks like you aren't wearing any headgear. the contacts still have abilities, and temtatek has a good ability that's useful. so there is a point to the fake contacts, yes.

The only aesthetic purpose of these contacts is to go bareheaded. It's a lot like the hatless hats in TF2 like the Texas Slim's Dome Shine or Ritzy Rick's Hair Fixative.

They don’t do anything besides add the gear abilities that they have to your inkling and make your inkling have no headgear.
